Hi! Thanks for the video. One problem with my RS4 and Sony a7IV with a cage - there is not enough roll axis arm to push it enough to balance it. What can I do?
By far the easiest balancing video that i ever seen! It’s also great to learn how to balance ur camera on any gimbal i think. Very well done, very clear.
Absolutely! Using the vertical mount enables you to adjust downwards to accommodate a slightly heavier setup. Additionally, incorporating a cage would contribute to increased weight
Amazing video! Just got this gimbal so trying to figure it out so thank you for all these guides as you break it down I think much better than most on RUclips. Can I ask as i'm new to this but for example if I was going away on a trip and took the gimbal with me would I need to adjust the camera each time I take it off the gimbal? So if I set the gimbal up the 1st day with the camera and got all the adjustments all correct and then took the camera off the gimbal but left all the fixings in place, could I just put it back on and be all good to go when I needed it to film a quick sequence or would I need to adjust it each time? I've been looking for any answer on this for a while but can't seem to find much on this.
No. Its only for the first time. But incase you are continuously switching from horizontal to vertical or vice-versa, then you would need to balance each time you switch.
Great video. Only problem with this setup is the screen is so low on my sony when i bring it lower, I cant see much… also I feel like the motors are working much more than usual. I feel vibrations I dont usual do. But at least fpv works great. Only best solution for better monitoring is to get an external monitor at the expense of more arm weight.
can you rig it vertically with a cage? i just got my RS3 gimbal and i'm considering to either get a cage or vertical mount to shoot vertically for my Sony A6400
Can I have a link for the vertical mount ? I just got my RS3 today ! Didn’t know I needed it until I noticed it wasn’t balancing well with my A7iii + small rig cage vertically
It can be harder to find the centre balance point on the camera when it’s really light. If that’s the case I wouldn’t worry too much as the motors should be able to compensate being so light anyway.
I cant seem to get my RS3 balanced to the point where the camera will stay static in any position but i can get it to a point where the camera bounced to a balancing point.
Have you had the issue where if you hold the gimbal hotizonally with the vertical mount it starts vibrating and and warning comes up and says poor control? I've had this.
DJI RS3 Vertical mode requires us to tilt the gimbal forward which makes it heavy. And at least as a beginner I feel the panning motion is hard in RS3 Vertical Mode.
Amazing! Its not just as easy as it can be confusing to new users!
You litterally have the only video about this!!!!!!
Glad to hear that! Thanks again for watching Nigel.
you probably have the best balancing tutorials , you are appreciated.
Glad you like them! Thanks so much.
What brand is that? Where can i buy that vertical mount
Simple, to the point, no-nonsense video. cheers!
Thanks so much and thanks for watching too!
does the vertical mount come in standard ronin rs3 package? or you have to buy one extra?
Easy to follow and straight to the point, thank you!

Very helpful. Other videos led me astray
Thanks, very helpful. But I've got just one question: why buy a vertical mount instead of using a cage? Hope to get an answer ♥

NICE AND CLEAR TUTORIAL.
Thanks JaCoB
The man knows how to make a tut
Thanks so much. 🙌🏻
I just bought my RS3 combo. this vertical mount is not included which I though should have been.
This vertical mount should be ordered seperately?
Hey did u get the soln I bought the rs3 combo as well
@@neelamkazimproduction3692 and this vertical mount is there?
danke, hat mir sehr geholfen !
Very clear ! Thanks 🙏🏻
Hello! What is the name of the vertical swing support on the rs3 gimbal?
did you find it anywhere?
Finally!!!! Thanks for this 😂❤
No problem at all. 🙌🏻
where can I buy the vertical mount adapter ?
I picked up mine on eBay. Really hard to find them at the moment.

Good vidéo ! Please do you have the link of the fixation please 🙏 I find it but not official 😢
Awesome. Thank you.
Subbed! Great content mate
Great video!
Thanks so much for watching!🙌
Can it work with samyang 85mm 1.4f with fx30 ?
Should be ok as that lens and camera combo is fairly light in comparison to my setup.
@@MisterHenry tnx brother ❤️
Does your camera have to a rig to install it?
Henry do you think the rs3 has better vertical performance than the rs3 mini ?
I would like to use vertically the 55mm and 85mm with a7 III
With prime lenses you’ll be fine. It’s the heavier zoom lenses that might give you trouble.
Great tutorial, thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching Tommy.
can you rig it vertically with a cage? i just got my RS3 gimbal and i'm considering to either get a cage or vertical mount to shoot vertically for my Sony A6400
Yes its possible
Thank you!

I grabbed mine from eBay. They seem to be like gold dust at the moment.
@@MisterHenry found one on amazon! got it next day shipped
Hello, I thought there was the link to the part you use for the vertical camera for video and photo stories.
It's very hard to get hold of this item now. E-bay is your best bet these days.
@@MisterHenry thx 🙏🏻
Struggling to get the Roll axis to balance. Even when it is all the way it's still not balancing. Is my lens too small?

Well done 👍✅

does the vertical mount come with the gimbal or do we have to purchase it separately?
It's an extra cost unfortunatley.
@@MisterHenry ahhh :( Thank you
Wait so I have to buy a separate adapter ?
yeah DJI do it again...
I'm confused as to why you don't use your cage to mount it vertically...
HELLO, CAN YOU SHARE THE LINK OF THE L BRACKET? IT DID NOT COME TO ME
THANKS
Thanks broo
Any time
I've easily managed to balance 6d mark 2 + EF 16-35mm version 3. Hopefully, it would be helpful for someone.
Very helpful! I do have a question. You think an Fx3 with a 24-70mm will be too heavy for vertically mounting on gimbal?
Update. with the help of your tutorial did a mini-test and seems like it can handle it!
Glad this video helped Ramis! Thanks for watching.
I tested with a sony 24-105mm and it seems to handle it. But I feel the motors working hard and battery drains much faster on gimbal
Have you had the issue where if you hold the gimbal hotizonally with the vertical mount it starts vibrating and and warning comes up and says poor control? I've had this.
i use this with my a7iv, smallrig cage, sigma 24-70 f2.8 and peter mckinnon vnd!
Very nice set up Dean. 👌👌
How is it with balancing?
using an a7iv with the new gm 35mm 1.4, guessing weight distribution is different because mine doesnt stay static
Can I shoot vertically with a cage on a dji ronin rsc2 because I’m having a problem balancing good
How is it possible to buy the RS3 COMBO and this L mount is not included? GG DJI...
Who wants to hear this music over and over when they’re struggling to balance gimbal
You could always mute it and put the subtitles on? 🤷🏻♂️
@@MisterHenryI think he likes the music :)
@@xPerry23x 😂🤣😂
Is this possible with rsc2 and a cage
I’ve been struggling to balance it vertically I don’t have the ronin vertical Mount I’ve got a cage instead
Not got a rsc2 I’m afraid.
But there is already Vertical Mode option in Gimbal why need this vertical mount plate?
DJI RS3 Vertical mode requires us to tilt the gimbal forward which makes it heavy. And at least as a beginner I feel the panning motion is hard in RS3 Vertical Mode.
Aldım ama rsc2 gimbıla uyumlu deyil
how much weight could it take with vertical mount ?
About the same as without the Vertical mount. 3kg
Music?
Too quick for me
what 's the sound bruh
This video is terrible me explaining
