I enjoy watching your shenanigans, Mexico made me laugh and I watched it a couple times. Will be fun to see your NW trip as we will be headed there in July for a couple weeks also. Maybe with a Mopeka tank monitor.
Thank you. If we hadn’t seen your video we wouldn’t have checked them out. We saw they were in New Braunfels and asked if we could swing by while we were at Medina Lake Thousand Trails. The stuff they are working on for the fresh water tanks in the RV industry sounds like it’ll be a great upgrade to newer models in the future.
Great review of the “MOPEKA” products. I would probably add a small piece of “mesh” below the sensor if they were to be left there full time. I would be afraid they would potentially fall off it you hit a hard bump in the road!!! Thanks again and safe travels!!!
Today we upgraded to 5 pack leaf springs. Didn’t film it because it was not fun and we ran into a lot of issues. We finally got them done though. Thanks for watching and you are in the drawing.
Thanks for the great info. I really like the ease and info the Mopeka provides. I was recently camping with my great nephews 4 and 7. My tank ran out about 3am. Needless to say. They woke up to a cold RV
Thank you so much for watching. You are in the drawing. Good Luck! We like watching Mountain Beaches not sure if that was the channel you were referring too. We love watching all our GD family out there. With a channel or not they ALL have good taste😎.
Yes, I like to see what others think of the 5er and what they recommend to get for it. It’s funny, I’ve got almost the same set up as you with a 17 GD and 17 Ram.
It really does suit our needs better. Of course we love the Solitudes and their space. The 303 just fits in places better than our old Columbus did. Which we loved as well, but we were pushing our axle ratings and we didn’t want to purchase a dually.
I first purchase the generation one sensors and monitor a couple of years ago. It is a great product but the placement was very sensitive. If not just right, it fails to get a reading. Some times it would switch between getting a read and then later not showing the level. It also appeared to work more consistently in the morning when the propane was cooler. I upgraded to the second generation sensors this spring and have had much less of a problem with placement and consistently getting good readings. The only issue is the second generation sensors sometimes take much longer to connect even though the settings specify for frequent transmissions. I have not yet figured out why this is. Now that the second generation sensor is available, I would not recommend the first generation sensors. If you have a smart phone, and almost every RVer does, I would not recommend the standalone monitor. The phone app provides so much more information and it is convenient and easy to use. Ther is really no benefit to spending the money and installing the separate monitor if you can use the app. I used the monitor the first day and not at all since then. I was getting about four months out of generic batteries on the generation one sensors. I'm not sure yet on the new sensors. They use the easy to find not to costly CR2032 button batteries. The app shows the battery level so you know if it is time to replace it when filling the tank. After installing the sensor on the bottom of the tank for the first time, lay a straight edge, such as a yard stick or level, across the ring collar and over the sensor to see if the collar is higher than the sensor. If not, then install the feet. I and family members have not needed the extra hight. The generation one sensors seem less secure than the new rounder second generation sensors so confirm it is still on the tank whe filling with propane. I have had them come off a couple of times. Overall it is a great product and I have no regrets buying it.
FYI.... Also have A Grand Design.... Ours is a Momentum 353G.... Now I look forward to your next review for the product you'll be reviewing in a couple weeks for the grill. I saw you response to John Sommerfeld... HEHEHE. We own a BLACKSTONE...
Great review, I just rely on the original auto switch that comes with the rv. I've been rving for 19 years and never ran out of propane, as I check on the red or green symbol.
We have ran out twice at night. Both times in the middle of the night. The refrigerator has a beep when it runs out. It just makes it easier to look at the phone app to see if you need to switch tanks before going to bed. Definitely nothing wrong at all using the original indicator. Thank you so much for watching.
We use only one at a time. That way when we run out, only one tank is empty and we can switch to the full one which gives us time to fill the empty. Because we do that, we still run a tank empty which for some reason always happens at night the alarm on this sensor will at least give us a heads up on when we can expect it. Normally we fill up at Tractor Supply Company as we travel or stop through towns.
I was looking at this "MOPEKA" system some time ago. Now they were great then, but now I see they have gotten better. Now I know Why I've waited. Win or not, I will have the New Pro series on my rig. And now "MOPEKA" is working with manufacturers and coming out with a better way to monitor the water tanks, I will be looking forward to those products as well...... THANK YOU for sharing this info. I have subscribed to your channel because my wife likes you guys and the videos you've put out. After me seeing them, I find them to enjoyable and informative too... We go FULL TIME in our RV the end of June and Look forward to travel for vacations till we retire. Then its to travel the country for what ever our desires bring us. Thanks again and looking forward to your next videos. FYI..... THANK YOU FOR YOUE SERVICE.
Thank you so much for watching and you are in for the drawing. Thank you for supporting our veterans as well. The fulltime RV life is a fun adventure and we have enjoyed it. We think you’ll like it too.
You guys cost me money almost everytime I watch one of your videos! LOL. First it was a toilet seat, then I joined thousand trails, then I had to buy a soft start, now a Mopeka lp tank monitor system! (Unless i win lol) Keep up the videos guys!
We have another product review coming in two weeks. But only if you have a gas grill to use it with. I can’t remember the name of the excavation company I spoke with but your neighbor, John, referred them to me.
We have them on all our propane tanks for the RV and at home. Very handy to monitor with our 100 lb tank for our home fireplace. We haven’t tried a water tank one yet. Please let us know if and when you do. Thanks for watching!
Your a hero--this weekend I'm installing a Mopeka on 2-30Gal tanks. Also, the many comments are very helpful.
We love our Mopekas. They are good for RVs and home tanks. Thanks for watching!
I had no idea you could add the Mopeka sensors to One Control! Very helpful info.
Pretty cool feature! Thank you for watching and you’re in the drawing. Best of luck!!

@@CompassRoadz That just sounds like a “not so fun task” and I would imagine there was some “AF Maintenance Language” used in the process!!!! 🍻
There was A LOT of mx language and I feel our neighbors got a quick tutorial 😎. We have awesome neighbors here.
@@CompassRoadz 😂😂😂 Can’t wait to hear how much better it rides!!!
Awesome info on MOPEKA! Can't wait to try it out.

Did you run out on both tanks? Or do you not have both valves on and so when one runs out the other tank is off 🤔
We don’t keep both tanks on. We just look at the app now and if one tank is low we turn the other tank open before going to bed.
We use only one at a time. That way when we run out, only one tank is empty and we can switch to the full one which gives us time to fill the empty.
