  • INCREDIBLE IKEA HACK with GOVEE RGBIC. Welcome back to Dadskillz for more DIY and tips, I was blown away with the results of this one!!
    IKEA are one of my most frequented stores at the moment, so combining them with my favourite RGB manufacturer was an easy decision!!
    The IKEA peg boards I used were called skadis.

    Question, how long is the cable from the rgb part to the wall plug, cause my peg board is kinda far from an outlet and I don't want any exposed rgb

      Well I guess I am quite late for your questions but anyways Govee is selling a RGBIC LED strip with usb plug that means you can just go and get a portable charger and stick it behind the Pegboard and plug everything in! But really important the portable charger must be relatively thin everything over 2cm is to big

    Nice video. I was quite surprised with the vacuum hack for the drill, thats a clever idea. Actually Ikea sells a connector piece to join Skadis panels together. It would've made things easier placing the leds and then hanging the boards on the wall.

      That sadly doesn’t work when you put them side by side. Found it the hard way.

      Nice video! Any tips on using LEDs on shelving units? Or just general tips on using them anywhere.

    • @dadskillz
      @dadskillz  2 года назад +1

      @@VideoPixelStudio all I can say is you want to see the light they create not the strip itself, so if the will be Visible use some track with a diffuser strip on the front. Try and stay away from strips with remotes as you may end up with loads of them and govee are just about the best at the mo.
