Sadly, not always true. There's an agenda online of men who think it's all about being rich and good looking, and it's not the case. Does someone have to find you physically attractive? Yes. Do you have to be the best looking person in the world? No. Paying attention to your grooming, clothing, attitude and even working on your confidence are all ways you can do to become a more rounded person and have a better dating (and dating-app experience!) + improvement in life. Take responsibility for yourself! James
I don’t want to steal the spot light from anyone’s comments but I would just like to share what happened to me maybe less than 30mins ago. I matched with a girl on hinge-we exchange a few text and she asked me to call her. We speak for about 10mins. Solid convo flowing evenly between the two of us. till she asked me if I got vaccinated. I said no but not for the reasons alot of ppl might not. I ask her back if she did she says yes and adds that she wasn’t a fan of it, okay I didn’t think much of it after a few more sentences of us talking she says “ I can’t date someone that didn’t get two shots booster or even one shot”. I was taken back by this and replied saying why should the relationship solely only be on the vaccine. She couldn’t answer the question and The convo was dead after that. Am I wrong in this story?
Okay so Hinge literally only shows me obese women. Im not exaggerating when I say thats all it shows me. Im not even talking chubby girls, Im talking full blown morbidly obese women, like the kind of obese that would be considered a disability. Its really odd.
I don't know the details of how their algorithm works, but here's what I did. I set my preferences to a reasonable age range and started at 1 mile radius. Swipe through the first batch which is for some reason presented as least appealing to you. Eventually you will hit the profiles you want, then increase the radius like 1 to 2 miles. Rinse and repeat lol. I know it sounds like a shitty thing to say, but they definitely categorize people in attractiveness with the low presented first.
I've heard that you can help hinge know what types girls you like. If you click the three dots on their profile and click "I'm not interested in the person" it might help the algorithm. Also when you get a match that you like, swipe right on the chat a d click "we met"
My chances are way better IRL too. I've noticed though that my standards are higher on dating apps, and I think that most girls are experiencing the same thing. Gotta remember that we're genetically wired to find partners IRL, so there are probably all kinds of subconscious, mental mechanisms working IRL that help us but that don't work when presenting yourself on an app.
I think I need to just try and meet people IRL. People are so cold on the apps but it’s ENTIRELY different in real life. Only problem is..how to meet them
I’ve been on Hinge for nearly a year and I’ve had less than ten women ‘like’ any of my profile first. Never got a date or anything near a conversation of such subject. I sometimes think that my profile isn’t visible or I’ve been shadow band for something. Hinge has opened my eyes to the amount of strange looking women there are out there. What the heck is with women saying “I want someone who can make me laugh”, oh, have I got to be a stand up comedian now? Something that also gets on my nerves, is that I specify that I’m straight and only interested in women, but I occasionally gets a load of transgender or gay mens profiles in my feed, seriously WTF?! I also can’t max out the ten likes per day, there’re simply not enough women I find attractive. I X women who look delusional, fish face pouting lips, materialistic or high maintenance. Is this really what todays modern women are like?
I hate getting the trans and gays in my feed! So annoying when I specifically signed up for women. On another note, it sounds like you might be a good MGTOW candidate.
Hey I’m a girl and came across this video - I thought I’d add what works for me. 1) yes good photo’s count. 2) I don’t know if this is just for me, but showing some sort of humour pulls me straight away. 3) putting photo’s of you and another woman is a turn-off. 4) people who are vague on their profiles, I scroll past as I don’t put any trust into that person as they seem closed off. 5) I love a random and unique or quirky/funny prompt answer and also a voice note prompt really helps, as we women love a good voice. 6) most importantly don’t be boring conversation wise when you do match with someone. As in - don’t just stop at hey, you ok? Good, how are you? Try take the conversation to a deeper/funnier place. 7) try and secure a date after you feel a vibe with the person.
The thing is, you say stay away from boring conversations, whereas the only thing that majority of girls/women write is ‘hello how are you’ or something just as banal.
Unless you are an extremely good looking guy on an app, good luck getting a decent looking girl. Most girls on the apps are looking for validation and won't respond. Also, I like how we enter a height but we can't have weight requirements.
I’m just struggling with being ghosted a few a few lines back and forth. Even if I ask for a date or move it in that direction. Then you’re left with a graveyard of messages that just makes you feel so utterly worthless to look at.
Hey do I have to pay for hinge as a man? Also I see you can only like a girls picture on hinge compared to bumble. Is it worth paying for or I should just stick to the free version? I’m looking for a Christian woman
I hate it when guys says they don’t use the app much, it’s a lie and so lame. If you want my phone number just ask for it, but don’t like like you can’t open an app on your phone everyday.
How would I set up a photo or a picture that would not be a selfie that wouldn't look manufactured or like posing. What I would be thinking of would be possibly like a candid picture that someone else would take of you while you were in the moment. What's a guy to do who doesn't hang out with people who constantly have their phone out snapping pictures for Instagram and Facebook?
Ha! Being a heterosexual male, this video is mostly aimed at those in a similar position. Maybe I should create more videos designed for gay men dating?
Hey mate, I was just banned for no apparent reason. I treat everyone with utmost courtesy. My suspicion is someone I met years ago reported me 3 days ago but I have no recourse. Wondering if you might have any connections in hinge that you could vouch for me. Happy to hop on a call with you

If you had 1 date a month, this will help you get 2, etc etc. (not actual numbers, but you get the idea) James

1.Be good looking
2.Be good looking
3. Be good looking
4.Be good looking
5.Be really rich if you arent good looking
6.Have to be jacked or have tats
7.Skinny and bigger guys get ignored
