He's lucky to have such a devoted daughter.
Sad that Sandy's gone; sad that Phil's gone; sad that Snowy's gone.
The good thing is that the music stays around.
Slán leat. And stay proud! ;) x

The melancholic and sensitive Phil. A beautiful melody and tribute to Sandy Denny.

One of the best compositions in the history of Irish music - thank you Snowy. The very best things are always left somewhat hidden, as treasures that are buried, but one day these treasures will be uncovered in all hearts. I particularly like the instrumental version of this, though Phil is all heart and who could give it such soulful lyrical accompaniment as he? Your spirits are forever touching our hearts in Howth; you sail in the winds now and flow in our seas, moving us always. So much respect, and the sadness... rest in peace Snowy, soft, beautiful, humble man... till we all meet again.

Glen Keogh Glen I've just posted this to Facebook, had never seen it before, it brings back so many memories. Myself and a good few mates used to head out to see Snowy and Clann Éadair most Sundays, after playing for St. Vincent's in the morning. Many is the Sunday dinner that was missed back then but it was worth it because we used to love hearing them play and sing. A girl, Siobhan Moore I think, used to sing with them and gave us our first introduction to the wonderful songs of Sandy Denny.

I was lucky to see Sandy perform twice and her music and words still impact us for live. I wonder if Sandy's and Trevor's daughter Georgia (who was one years old when poor Sandy feel down the stairs and died a few days later) ever heard this tribute song or for that matter, what her thoughts are today of "the Lady".

There's an extra layer of poignancy in the line "Sandy, is more to life than this?" and the words about reincarnation when we listen to this with the knowledge that Phil Lynott would be dead within a year and a half of this performance. Perhaps he sensed his fate.

KennBurch you are an idiot you haven't a clue! Two best friends making fantastic music and I Bet you couldn't even sing a note yourself and if u did it wouldn't be half as good as this peace of gold dust! Jealousy is a terrible thing! Hate to be u haha

I was complimenting the song and Phil's performance of it. I wish Phil Lynott was still with us, and respect that, 'til the end, he was trying to get clean and healthy and start touring again.
