      To be fair, the bond company will usually give a courtesy call the day before and day of but they do t decide where to convene

    Not many motel rooms have ceiling fans like that and all the decor on the walls. He's purposely trying to block the background, that's why he's standing.

    What a horrible human being. Not only is he a liar and doesn't see that the judge sees liars like him every single day but he is a bully of the worst kind. the judge should automatically revoke his bond, get a cop out to get him and then he'll have his ride to court.

      She did revoke his bond (sort of) The Sheriff doesn't work that quickly, and his bond agent is responsible for his appearances. He hung up, and called his bomdsman to stall a couple days, so he could get clean. Then, turn himself into jail, and cry the victim...

      I know for a fact that You are making a lot of assumptions mostly that this individual is a liar. You don't know that everybody he says isn't true just as you don't know that they are lies. It interests me that he managed to get hold of and use a digital key to get into the court on the day. He was supposed to only use IF HE WAS IN CUSTERDY. They don't supply these keys easy in this situation they are meant to be more secure. So I believe someone other than the defendant screwed up this one, then the judge can't deal with him and sort out the attendance later? Why what real difference to her.

    I'm so sick of defendants who whine, have tantrums, come late, not showing up at all..... when they're lucky it's on zoom! I feel like people have become so disconnected with what a real court proceeding feels and looks like! It's called, in person! where you can wake up five minutes before logon, and think you're all good!

      I had some one let me when I locked my purse phone groceries etc in my running Porsche so I could call AAA in the Texas summer .
      I still thank God I didn't strap my toddler in first before before putting groceries in the car.

      If his parents were going to give him money for a hotel room, but didn't have money to give him for food, instead of getting him a hotel room, that he moves all his stuff into and nails it to the walls, they would have him stay with them, sleep on the couch or floor where he can still eat their food. If he were moving all his stuff into the hotel, the intent would be to stay there for several months at least. They aren't going to spend that kind of money instead of having him stay with them and feed him. Of course he's lying like a rug so it's not going to make sense.

      I was thinking that as well or at least make him show the room, go outside and show the judge the sign of the hotel to confirm where he is at. When he is caught in that lie, send the deputy to give him a ride to jail.

    Since he didn't show up by the end of the day, the judge called the motel where he's supposedly staying. Needless to say, he wasn't there. She also inquired as to whether their rooms have ceiling fans. They don't...

    As if a hotel has all that stuff on the walls. He’s got some nerve to speak to a judge that way when she can easily have him escorted back into prison. I hope she does hold him in contempt, he doesn’t deserve to be out if that’s how he behaves. 😮

      He doesn't need to be held in contempt he's on bond and arguing with the judge she just said at the end I'm revoking his bond.... boom he now has a warrant and will be arrested qnd set in jail till the judge is ready to see him in person!! Lol

      She needs to be a McDonald's employee.

      Spent 10 minutes arguing with a full docket when she SHOULD have immediately given him 2 options.
      1. Get his ass there before closing.
      2. Face a contempt charge AND a bench warrant.

    It’s telling that his parents did not want him to stay with them ( and paid for the hotel so he would stay away) and that all his friends are incarcerated. He must be a lot of fun to have around!

      Bail bonds operate on fear and intimidation. They will give out demands and will threaten with jail, or repossession of property. Most inmates don't have money, and the bond sharks know this.
      They also threaten with warrants...stuff that they have no power to do.

      The court clerk schedules the date and time for court and the bondsman is on the hook for the bond and tells their client to make sure they appear and with Zoom now acceptable due to Covid, he should be considered as appearing in court ... this is his 1st court hearing so Zoom imo is acceptable.

    I seen this on another video and the judge actually calls the motel and ask if they had ceiling fans in any of their rooms. They told her no they didn’t so she now knows he was lying about where he was at.

      On another channel, they showed the judge actually call the motel he said he was staying at and proved he was wasn't there at any time. The hotel said he wasn't registered there and that they don't have ceiling fans in any of the rooms.

    This guy is such a liar. He wants the judge to believe that his 80 year old parents would rather spend money for a hotel than have him sleep on a couch at their home, and of course someone is in the hospital dying. The more he talks the he more proves he is lying.

      Literally everything he says could be true, so what? Bond has two purposes, protection of the public, and to ensure the defendant's appearance in court. If the defendant is saying that he can't afford to appear in Court as ordered, then the bond must be revoked. #notlegaladvice

    If he's in enough trouble where he needs to be seen by a judge (and his other "social support team are incarcerated") then he demonstrably has no interest in following rules or the law. I'm betting he knew he had to be in person and he just decided he wouldn't, using all the excuses that he spewed during this video. I guess it's David Brownlee's world and the rest of us are here to stay out of his way.
    It's also an amazing coincidence that so many of these criminals ALWAYS have a loved one in the hospital, or they're going to a job interview right when they need to be in court. It's almost unbelievable! 🙄

      Mom's in the hospital. Dad won't answer the phone. Their both in their 80's. But they paid for a hotel room for a month, couldn't afford a 5 dollar hot pocket, Dad moved all his belongings to the hotel. They didn't want their baby boy anywhere near their house. 😢😂

      On RUclips, we get to see the good bits. Her day in court is probably normal most of the time. What she is doing is giving him every opportunity to repair, so when she throws him in jail for bond violation/contempt there is no basis for appeal.
