Minus the crime, Newburgh provides a phenomenal view of the Mid-Hudson area at different angles. Don't care for the restaurants by the water, the views are just gorgeous and like no other.
Crime in the City of Newburgh isn’t high. It’s lower than it’s been in 20 years. It’s so low the police pull random ppl over for none violations in hopes of finding something.
I grew up in Newburgh. Its definitely not as dangerous anymore. Right on Courtney Ave
By south junior high. I would never go back...but the crime definitely tampered down.

My auntie lived on Courtney Ave. I lived on Monument st. Then Bridge Ave. I do want to go back and visit Newburgh one day. I haven't been in a while
It even seems a bit tamer now than when you commented 3 years ago. People just trying to live life. But definitely some streets you don't want to be on at night still.
It's not that dangerous as it used to be. Newburgh ny has it's ups and downs. I unfortunately graduated from nfa 2021 but I'm ashamed of it because has done alot of messed up things. Basically the main reason for alot problems. Right now I'm just making awareness videos and protest, of the school because alot of people need closure. In Newburgh there are good people
There are *great people , you have nothing to be ashamed of 😮💨 People make decisions which cause them to grow & evolve which is fine. Everyone made odd choices in life , nothing to be ashamed of. Be proud of what those choices made you ❤️🔥

@Zain Hector there was a kid that graduated from a high school in newburgh and said "i just realized there's a lot of shit that happens outside the school that the district doesn't tell you" like shooting threats, but they don't cancel school because they wouldn't have a school since there would be too many days off and the school can't go i to lockdown every 2 hours because they keep hearing gang fights and gunshots outside
It's the amount of run down buildings and scarcity of jobs though. The youth have less to look forward to

The building on the right in the thumbnail now has a ramen place called District Ramen. They are really really good japanese ramen. Crazy it's in the ghetto though. I don't mind. You can park at the DMV lot and walk down to the corner where it is.

@@DanielPerez-ee3wp don’t do it unless you know exactly where you are. You end up on the wrong street or corner you’ll have issues. The city is full of thugs and low lives. The city gets more dangerous every day. Thankfully i live in the town section, still not far away enough... need to move further away

There are certain streets in Newburgh you gotta be aware of. I should know I’ve lived there my entire life. Like William Street is one of the streets that you should probably avoid

its bad. the town of newburgh is to the NW and N. is alot nicer and includes upscale community "Balmville". to the W and S is New Windsor and is also suburban normalcy.

Not all parts of the burg is bad. Born and bred since 72. I stayed in the heights but moved to meadow hill. It is all of what you make it. Every town has it's issues

@@nylesprintit really doesn’t……newburgh isn’t as bad as people make it seem. The only people who get caught up in the shit in newburgh are literally people in the drug or gang scene. A regular citizen can walk through any neighborhood in newburgh and wont a damn thing happen to them.
