Both would’ve tried asserting dominance with zero acting range! John and Nicolas spent time coping and mimicking one another. Creating characters! That’s acting! 🥂 Edit! I too would’ve love to see that train wreck! 😂👏🏻
OF COURSE! This actually makes so much sense. If you aren't the bad guy for the majority of the film, play it right up to 11 at the beginning then let the other guy worry about the switch!
Nicholas Cage plays such good villains though. I loved Reinfeld. He needs to do more villains instead of having a hero complex all the time. He really made this movie
Snipes and Denzel would be the ONLY other duo that could have pulled this off. But Cage is it, he was the ultimate Castor Troy. Both actors did such a great job.
“I want to take his face - off.” Michael Douglas and Harrison Ford would’ve been fantastic. At the time, they were age-appropriate for a Senior SAC in the FBI and a Criminal Mastermind. Like, they were old enough to have time in with each other and their jobs. Same thing for De Niro and Pacino.
I miss the insanity of the 80s and 90s action movies. Modern days films don’t seem to have as much fun. The last film I saw that had this level of absurdity was Hardcore Henry. Love that movie.
Denzel and Wesley seems good. Deniro and pachino would have been wild but I don't know if it would have hit. Van Damme and Seagal would have been terrible for this. Willis and Balwin I don't think so. I think this was the right combo.
This was the first movie that really made me appreciate Nicolas cage's acting. His shift in personality and mannerisms between roles was so well executed
Sorry but even after hearing all these names of these phenomenal actors, I must say Cage and Travolta still are the best choice for this specific film!
My 10 ten favorite movie of all time and I don't think the other guys would have been as good in my opinion. My favorite part were both actors acting...
Don't get me wrong, I love this movie, I even have it on DVD, and I can forgive the fact that the shape Cage and Travolta's faces are completely different and the face swap would not work in real life, but it still bugs the hell out of me that you can clearly see the stuntmen's faces during the boat chase.
Also pay attention during the beginning scene where they are all in that hangar. I belive it's a swat member that gets shot, (it's been years) but you can clearly see when this person gets shot with a shotgun and they fly up and back, there are like 3 very obvious bungies lift the dude and fling him into boxes. There's multiple in the film but god I love it haha
I mean I think I would have taken Arnold and Sly meeting here instead of the expendables or the escape plan as a first time sharing the screen together just saying
I've never seen this movie and for the DUMBEST reason! My high school boyfriend and I decided we were going to "take a break" and date other people. My boyfriend took this other girl to the movies to see Face Off and I was SOOOO jealous! Of course, the "break" was my bright idea because this handsome guy in college wanted to take me out! Anyway, we got back together immediately because he also couldn't stand the idea of me with someone else. Not sure why I still won't watch the movie?? That relationship ended badly after 14 years because he literally became a crackhead! 😂😂
Cage absolutely smashed this role. He turns it up to 1000
Nic Cage can do no wrong.
He should have won an Oscar for Best impersonation of Nic Cage
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can do no wrong?
You clearly haven seen a lot of his films, he's either fantastic or rubbish.
The Wickerman immediately comes to mind.
Lol
I *think* OP was being facetious.😂@@GazB85
Jean Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal would’ve been such a glorious trainwreck
I'm guessing he wouldve just acted like himself.
Both would’ve tried asserting dominance with zero acting range! John and Nicolas spent time coping and mimicking one another. Creating characters! That’s acting! 🥂
Edit! I too would’ve love to see that train wreck! 😂👏🏻
I'm not disappointed. The first comment under the clip refers to what I wanted to post. 😅
You mean Steven Seagull
Steven Segal would've needed the whole heads transplant, not only the face, to play it.
.
OF COURSE! This actually makes so much sense.
If you aren't the bad guy for the majority of the film, play it right up to 11 at the beginning then let the other guy worry about the switch!
Nope. These two were perfectly matched in this movie! I absolutely love it!
Jean Claude and Seagal in face-off would've resulted in Claude ripping Seagal's head off
😂😂😂
And pooping down his neck !
The road not taken, sound like a good movie
Love this movie. Two of my favorite actors. So glad they were chosen. 🥰🥰
I am intrigued at the possibility of Denzel and Snipes doing face off.
Nah fr 😂
Bruh.
Ooh with Denzel as the Bad Guy
If there's ever a remake of Face Off, I'd like to see them in the movie.
@@gator9339That would be awesome and if they wanted to make it a comedy then Chris Tucker and Chris Rock 😂
I like it that the narrator says "Steven Seagull"... I remember that being a line in a Steven Seagull movie. "Little Stevie Seagull"...
Just the usual signs of AI narration, unfortunately. Incorrect mid-sentence pausing, too.
I joke saying Steven " Kegal"
Nicholas Cage plays such good villains though. I loved Reinfeld. He needs to do more villains instead of having a hero complex all the time. He really made this movie
honestly Sylvester Stallone and Schwarzenegger would've been the best choice. With the stipulation that they have to talk in each other's voices lmao
😂😂😂
The movie would've turned into a comedy so fast 😆
Definitely one of my all-time favorite movies. It was so well done! ❤❤❤
John Woo for you
Oh, Denzel and Wesley would have been something out of this world.
Snipes and Denzel would be the ONLY other duo that could have pulled this off. But Cage is it, he was the ultimate Castor Troy. Both actors did such a great job.
I actually like this movie, but if it was Denzel Washington and Wesley Snipes, this movie would have been on a whole another level of excellence!
Bro that Denzel and Wesley face off would have turned it up!
Face-Off was pinnacle for both actors!
Bruce Willis and Alec Baldwin would have been interesting if Alec was the villain
Yah.
He definitely would hv been the villain. Has Bruce ever played the bad guy?
Baldwin would probably have pulled a 'stunt gun' on Willis, and it would have been game over !
Jean Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal could've given us the MOST EPIC BLOCKBUSTER MOVIE review by Space Ice
Lmao ikr
I love this comment
Such a great movie. They worked perfect together
I miss movies like this
I wish they made every version with each pair and released them all at the same time.
I miss the insanity of the 80s and 90s action movies. Modern days films don’t seem to have as much fun.
The last film I saw that had this level of absurdity was Hardcore Henry. Love that movie.
That last point is very Interesting because I always felt bad for Cage getting trapped in prison while Travolta's Castor has all the fun.
They should have had a movie where ALL of those dudes swap faces with each other
Washington and Snipes would've been awesome
"Seagull"
Seriously..how is this not top comment?
Denzel and Wesley seems good. Deniro and pachino would have been wild but I don't know if it would have hit.
Van Damme and Seagal would have been terrible for this. Willis and Balwin I don't think so.
I think this was the right combo.
Perfect! I love John as a bad guy! Broken Arrow? Favorite Film! Nick? He’s the ultimate as always and forever!
I fucking love Face Off
robert deniro and al pacino look vastly different😂 hollywood typecasting
There's the case of the half a foot difference in height casting Arnie and Sly. 😂
😂😂😂
One of the best action movies of all time!
This was the first movie that really made me appreciate Nicolas cage's acting. His shift in personality and mannerisms between roles was so well executed
I would like a Face Off starring Whitney Houston and Pam Grier.
Whitney was a terrible actress, a great singer and terrible actress. Pam Grier is a legend.
I am all for a Face-Off sequel where Robert Dinero and Al Pacino trade faces
Too late
Lmao.
Van Damme and Seagull? Hahaha What a wonderful wreck. I doubt you'll ever see them in the same room. Seagull is a hack, Jean is a champion.
Only combo that could have pulled it off for this movie... perfectly cast💙
Bruce and Alec would’ve been a good mix too
Wow, that list of might-have-beens. Central really has mastered the art of interchangeable casting.
Sorry but even after hearing all these names of these phenomenal actors, I must say Cage and Travolta still are the best choice for this specific film!
I can see Vin Diesel and the Rock.
If the script said they could fist fight each other for real by the end maybe.
I've always felt that whatever character Nicholas cage plays, he's playing a character doing a Nicolas Cage impersonation
My 10 ten favorite movie of all time and I don't think the other guys would have been as good in my opinion. My favorite part were both actors acting...
This may be an unpopular view, but I like Steven Seagull.
😅
You ain't the only one. Segal might be an egotistical weirdo, but he's never boring 😃.
@@PrinceofTroy-kx3nkHis earlier movies were decent
@@jesustovar2549 ikr. Nico, Above the law, Hard to Kill and of course Under Siege was truly badazz action films.
Good ole Steven Seagull
They had originally cast Jackie Chan and Jason Statham but decided to go in a different direction at the last minute. I'm not sure why.
Jason Statham wasn't even an actor, back then.
This movie is perfect just like it is.
No they did it right with these two.
Don't get me wrong, I love this movie, I even have it on DVD, and I can forgive the fact that the shape Cage and Travolta's faces are completely different and the face swap would not work in real life, but it still bugs the hell out of me that you can clearly see the stuntmen's faces during the boat chase.
Agree
Maybe they swapped faces with stuntmen
Also pay attention during the beginning scene where they are all in that hangar. I belive it's a swat member that gets shot, (it's been years) but you can clearly see when this person gets shot with a shotgun and they fly up and back, there are like 3 very obvious bungies lift the dude and fling him into boxes. There's multiple in the film but god I love it haha
Obviously what we needed is pairing up De Niro and Arnie
Some of these parts would have been phenomenal! But John Travolta with Nicholas Cage... superb!
Arnold and Sly 😂😂 that would been cool
Brilliant film !
"Diiiiieeee!" - Face Off
A masterpiece
But, Nick is so good as the villain!
I'd love to live in the alternate reality where Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino played the dual leads in this movie
My favorite movie !
I wish they made the movie with all of those lineups. AI Nerds. Get on that
Feels like the studio wanted the most similar actors they could find. Im surprised they didn't want Booby D and Joe Pesci😂❤
Arnold and Sylvester would have been Very Interesting 😅
i loved this movie when i was a kid lol
FYI: Whoopi Goldberg and Verne Troyer were considered for the parts
JCVD and Steven S in face off defimitely would have been interesting
Aww yes Steven Seagull
They picked the perfect 2 people for this role. Any of the other choices would have been a flop, with the exception of Stallone and Schwarzenegger.
Excellent movie!!
Segal. Not Seagull.
Al Pacino and Denzel Washington
I'm imagining all these other pairs 😅
I always think of Patrice saying this is a good movie then being convinced it was terrible in 2 minutes by Jimmy. O and A was the greatest.
Love this movie.
I knew this was a highly realistic movie when the wife didn't recognized hubby's ick😂
I love this movie dude
I'd have liked to seen Stallone and Wesley Snipes
Steven Seagull.
The girl featured in this clip is uncredited in the movie.
Did you know that Nicholas Cage's real last name is Coppola? His uncle is famous director Francis Ford Coppola!
Anyone but John Travolta
Joe Pesci
Steven seagull😂
Arnold is alot taller than Stallone. That would have been easy to figure out
Steven flock of seagulls
I would have loved to see Denzel and Snipes that would have been awsome but the time was too early for 2 black lead actors.
Pacino and DeNiro in another film together?
Love this movie
Jean Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal is NOT in the same category of the other pairs. That pair would have killed that movie
I remember that blonde haired choir girl was a real hottie
It was a stroke of cinematic genius when they decided to get the two biggest overactors in Hollywood to act like each other.
This movie is so far fetched and silly, but I love it.
The story is mid at best. But these two are a joy to watch. You can definitely tell they enjoyed swapping roles.
I mean I think I would have taken Arnold and Sly meeting here instead of the expendables or the escape plan as a first time sharing the screen together just saying
Actors and egos villian no hero sign me
Awesome movie
I’m glad to see they didn’t go with Steven Seagull
I've never seen this movie and for the DUMBEST reason! My high school boyfriend and I decided we were going to "take a break" and date other people. My boyfriend took this other girl to the movies to see Face Off and I was SOOOO jealous! Of course, the "break" was my bright idea because this handsome guy in college wanted to take me out! Anyway, we got back together immediately because he also couldn't stand the idea of me with someone else. Not sure why I still won't watch the movie?? That relationship ended badly after 14 years because he literally became a crackhead! 😂😂
They chose right.
Arnold and Sly? Make Tony Danza Pollux, and there'd have been the most incoherent movie ever
Phs...im sure Bruce was good enough to play with Denzel... cmon...
