This was my first blind cologne purchase as a young man. It brings back so many good memories, and I am so happy that my first purchase was such a Homerun.
Dylan Blue shines the absolute best in cooler weather, so many people just wear it in hot weather and honestly it can be too cloying and overbearing in the warm weather. This stuff was made for crisp and cool weather.
I bought this on Saturday first time, I was truly amazed how much compliments I received. It smells so good I was constantly spraying thinking I can't smell it but people told me all night how wonderful I smelt!
@rummanrad3496 I spray on my skin and not on my clothes. I spray about 8-10 times total. But if you spray on clothes, your clothes will still well like Dylan blue a week later.
I recently gave a decant of Dylan Blue to a co-worker who is getting into fragrances. He and his lady really enjoyed it... they bought a full bottle. It's a great introductory fragrance.
Any good fragrance is timeless. I recently bought a bottle of CK Obsession and it's still fantastic in 2024. I like Dylan Blue. Pretty much anything Versace is great. I love their offerings.
It was given to me as a birthday present a couple of years ago. I had sampled it at Ulta before I got it and didn't like it. After a couple of years it has really become a "Go-To" scent for me. I love it now! I usually get compliments when I wear it.
Is it suitable for all climates? I reside in India, where the humidity is higher. I have reviewed numerous opinions on Armaf CDIM and made a purchase without prior testing. Unfortunately, I was dissatisfied and found the scent unpleasant. Therefore, I am concerned whether this one is similar.
@MidhunGKurup-i5r... completely different scent profile despite both strong on citruses...u have Lattafa Soumon Platinum a chlone of Dylan blue...even betterand super cheap but Dylan blue is still very affordable for a designer fragrance...
Still a favourite of mine today after collecting fragrances for 2 years now. The only fragrance I’ve worn at work (in my luxury hotel) that I’ve had guests chasing me wanting to know what I was wearing. It’s gorgeous stuff.
Been wearing this for years. I’ve tried so many other designer fragrances and always find myself coming back to Dylan Blue. It’s easy, cheap, and gets compliments. A flanker would be SUPER interesting though.
Tested out Dylan blue. The initial spray down was great. Nice and fresh. But the dry down to me was soapy/powdery. I'm glad I didn't blind buy it because it did not do that great with my skin. Good luck to everyone else, though!
lol that's not dylan blue at all... soapy and powdery? nah man you tested a different fragrance.... Dylan blue should be heavy ambroxan bomb in the opening with citrus and then dry down to a musky & woody slightly green cypriol/papyrus/incense dry down However some people do say that Acqua essenziale blu was powdery and that was alberto morillas first creation before dylan blue which he copied when he made dylan blue
Dylan Blue will always be in my top 5 until it's dethroned. If I have to pick 5 colognes my 5th will always be it. It's the one I recommend to people the most. Especially to people just starting out or don't have much to play with. It's price point and versatility make it a no brainier. It's also safe pick in most cases. Performance is good too
Although I agree and really do like Dylan Blue, I prefer pour homme, that speaks to me more and works better for my skin “chemistry.” And I get alot more compliments with this than I do with Dylan blue lol.
I used to hate it but it’s grown on me a lot …. 21% oil volume is solid for an edt …. I like layering it with other stuff too and the price to quality is pretty unbeatable
Bought myself this again, because everytime I’ve gone to do a training course where I’m showering multiple times a day I’ve worn Dylan blue, so had to pick up a 100ml for my next course which is 13 weeks long, can’t justify spraying my other more expensive fragrances multiple times a day
It's my go, too. I'll never forget when I wore Dylan Blue at a strip club this past summer, and one girl asked me and a buddy of mine if one of us was able to go in a VIP room and my buddy pushed me to go with her, so I went in and afterwards, she complement my fragrance.
lol... This is my SOTD actually... it grew on me, because initially there was something I wasn't to fond of. so I let it sit for a while and MAAAAAAN! its in my top 3 dumb reach frag catagory.
Dylan blue scent profile is gorgeous but I tried a chlone of it Lattafa Soumon Platinum and I must say its even Better a bit fruitier and and slightly sweeter compared with the original and better performance, sillage strong first 2 hours...price ridiculously cheap i. Europe from 15 to 25 eur 100 ml...
Unfortunately it's been reformulated, but it still smells so good, super underrated, my most complimented fragrance, I'm 21 and my hot female coworker (she's 38) really likes it.... So I recommend it 😂
@claudexlucien maybe i got unlucky, my first bottle (200 ml) lasted me for 2 years, it was really strong, the new one i bought 3 months ago (also 200 ml) and it Has no projection i had to spray 25+ times to even get some performance, the bottle is already empty, maybe next one will be better
@@burskixpompa2886Bro 💀. If you are spraying that much you are genuinely nuking your nose and causing olfactory fatigue. That fragrance has ambroxan and will project even if you aren’t detecting it. If you spray 8 - 10 times max (two on each side of the neck, and two on the back of each hand or forearm) you are going to be set for the next 24 hours for real. I have family that wears it as well and you can pick it up in their scent trail 12+ hours after they applied it in the morning. Try using substantially less (like 4 sprays) of your current batch for a while and see if you can get wafts of it later in the day.
IMO, Profondo Parfum is a similar DNA and style with a superior blend and quality. Definitely a bit more expensive, but I think it's the better way to go.
My 100ml bottle is on the way. It's a LOT more expensive in the UK. $50 for a 100ml is crazy cheap. The UK equivalent price as standard for the 100ml is £87/$112. I paid £39/$50 I think from what people have said, Dylan Blue is probably into the low levels of what a EDP would be rather than the advertised EDT. How else would it last as long as people say? EDT's don't last 10-12 hours.
Dylan blue is so good, worst thing is you get nose blind within hours, not sure why. Its not the same with ysl y or eros and so on. It does last long 8 9hrs

Dylan Blue is very good. But Versace Pour Homme is the real classic. Cheap, similar to Chanel Allure Sport, ladies will always love it more than Dylan Blue. Etc
lol is that even a real question? eros flame is so bad, I love the eros EDT/EDP/Parfum but the flame and energy are by far the worst eros and some of the worst versace fragrances. Stay far away from those.... Dylan blue is great so get that or if you can find any dylan blue alternatives like acqua essenziale blue/bvlgari aqva atlantiqve then go with those since they're discontinued but smell the same.... or you could try something a bit more different like This is not a blue bottle 1.1 which is like dylan blue but some added honey in there
Fragrances with heavy doses of ambroxan are somewhat off-putting to me. And the opening reminds me of Vicks VapoRub. It dries down to a pretty decent fragrance, but I think it's somewhat overrated, and actually priced about right for what it's worth.
I bought this fragrance blind, and as soon as I gave the first spray, I immediately got hit with a deodorant vibe. Maybe a nice deodorant, but still… a deodorant. A few minutes later, my wife came close and, with a look of disgust, asked, "What did you put on today? Smells like Degree for Men." I have 200ml bottle of which I've used 100ml+ and can say that this thing is brutally REFORMULATED. Longevity is 5-6 hours max with moderate to soft projection for 2 hours in hot weather. It's good but like most fragrances it's overrated and overhyped. For the current price it's good.
I mean seriously guys. I went to work using top niche frags, i barely get compliment. But when i use dylan blue, everybody said i smelled fantastic and asking for what i use during that day.
Don’t listen to what others say about them being very similar. They are not. Ferragamo Blu is much sweeter and less smokey with a strong lavender and tonka note, much better for cold weather. Whereas Dylan blue is more smokey and citrusy with hints of sweetness in the dry down, overall way more shower gel like. I think they’re both worth it and amazing scents if you like blue style frags.
@@eriksotelo3 lol nobody should listen to you because acqua essenziale blue definitely does smell like dylan blue.... Alberto Morillas literally made both of the same fragrances and he used the same ingredients and he purposely made them smell the same because acqua essenziale blu got discontinued so he made dylan blue as a replacement. Also the only difference is that acqua essenziale blu isn't as much ambroxan, although it absolutely smells worse than dylan blue because there's a horrible green smell in the dry down. Some people also say it's also powdery, even though I never got the powderyness from acqua essenziale blu... technically I do think that bvlgari's aqva atlantiqve was a little bit closer to dylan blue just I can smell a difference in the ingredients they use where as alberto uses the same ingredients for his creation.
I bought it, 2024 release, but i was pretty disappointed wearing it. Yes, its long lasting, but its not as good as people say it is. I sampled it multiple times. But honestly i didnt like actually wearing it (with 5 sprays). I ended up selling the whole bottle.. If i could turn back time, id rather get y edp or adg parfum, or something else, but not this blue fragrance. I think its overrated.
Dylan blue is a banger, compliment getter. Fresh clean shower gel. Good for almost all occasions, signature scent worthy.
Just wear shower gel then
Shower gel doesn't project like this
Use cremo vintage suede body wash and then spray this. Pure magic
@ u think it projects ?
I can’t smell it even on me
