I remember reading that there was some beef between Parker and Sam Pura when recording Proper Dose a few years back. Not really sure what it entailed, but almost certain that's the reason they didn't go back to him for this record. Unfortunate since Sam is a really fucking talented producer/engineer, but I must say I'm really happy with how this album turned out. Been a fan for 12-13 years now and I'm just stoked they're back releasing new tunes for the world.
Yup! Parker and Sam would butt heads a lot. I work at a music shop and a guy who produces with Sam and has done stuff with TSSF says that they would have tons of disagreements which slowed a lot of the production process down. Sam was a really organized and technical guy and Parker was a spontaneous and creative through the mess kind of guy.
All those variants remind me of the Comics from the 90's. There was a huge collapse after the variants held up the industry for 5 years. I hope records are not on par with that.

I think the only album I know by them is Under Soil & Dirt.
the Album "What You Don't See" is probably what made me a fan. SICK songs
