  • Here, I talk about how I choose/edit my boxing photos.
    Note: This is my first video, and I kinda just winged it... haha sorry! Maybe the next video, I'll keep it short and straight to the point.

    Sheesh. It’s crazy to see where some of these fighters are now.

    Hey, good video. Some very nice points made and sharing your personal opinion about what you like/ don't like and why was helpful . I frankly enjoyed the pace. It was slow and in real time, speaking out the thoughts in your head as you looked so I could do the same and this is what it is really like so I felt like you got my journey . Thank you for your generosity. Look forward to another.
    Best with Respect,
    Elizabeth

    I liked your video. What lens do you prefer and with what settings? Very informative for setting up shot. I'm doing my first Muay Thai fight this weekend. Thanks

    Really good video! Your pictures are great! I ve started to take kickboxing and MMA photos two years ago and i could never find a opinion of a professional photographer. Wich lenses do you suggest? Sorry for my english!

      I prefer 24-70mm 2.8 when shooting boxing, or 70-200mm 2.8 when shooting MMA, but its all personal preference. Some photographers even shoot with a super wide lens during a boxing match ;)

    damn man some great shots, id love to get into this but in the UK its tough getting nowhere, emails leading to dead ends or no replys.

      If you know any fighter, start out with them. Just shoot them, and post your photos on social media. Someone will eventually see your work, and "try" you out. Just keep shooting! It's all about networking, just build your network, and you will find that person that will introduce you to the right people ;)

      bstunt I’m glad I found this, You have great advice to give. I am in the “trying out” of photographing a boxer in my city who is super chill and a great fighter. This is valuable stuff. I like the idea of not shooting wide but I’m not used to it haha. No ropes? Got it! Won’t do it next time!

    How do a person get into the business and what camera do you use?

    • @bstunt
      @bstunt  9 лет назад +3

      +Reginald Paige You just need to know one person in the business and network with his people... that's what I did ;)

    Some cool tips.
    What settings do you usually go for?
    Also... what makes you shoot JPG and not RAW? -p

    • @bstunt
      @bstunt  9 лет назад +1

      +Przemyslaw Grabowski You wanna stop the action, so you wanna shoot at a higher rate of shutter speed, I personally shoot 1/800 or faster depending on the lighting condition... I like to shoot RAW just cuz I can play around with the file after, not really ideal to shoot raw, but that's just me, I shoot with 64GB card so i can fit all those photos in there :)

    Pretty helpful, thanks. Did you use a 24-70 in this gallery? Which other lenses would you recommend for shooting boxing ?

    • @bstunt
      @bstunt  10 лет назад +2

      Yes, I use 24-70 almost 90% of the time ;)

      @@bstunt a 16-35 2.8 works great for me. i use the 24-70 also. 70-200 never from ringside

    Do you use a crop sensor camera with the 24-70, or a full frame camera?

    • @bstunt

    great video brother. can i ask what body you shoot with? i shot an event recently and they had these dirty big blue spotlights on one side and yellow lights on the other. was really hard to deal with

    what shutter speeds did you use for ringside?

  • @timshepard9937
    @timshepard9937 8 лет назад

    for MMA why do you recommend the 70-200 over the 24-70?

    • @woolybugger1962
      @woolybugger1962 4 года назад

      70-200 is too "large" a lens if you are ringside.

    what iso and shutter speed do you use?

    • @bstunt
      @bstunt  9 лет назад +2

      +OhMyMilton Normall I don't go any slower than 1/800, with that said, just play around with the ISO, not all venue are the same
