Good recap! Just wanted to clarify though, Persona isn't by Platinum, it's by Atlus and P-Studio :)

Oh, also! Start with 5 Royal, and then move to 4 Golden. IF you like 5R and 4G a lot, only THEN should you play 3 Portable (it's a very cutback and compromised port of the original P3 for the PSP, unfortunately that's the only one Atlus has the source code still for, which is why they are porting that one to everything except the original).
They're all really great games, so you are bound to like them no matter what, IMO, but 5R is the newest, most modern, highest rated (and most popular, for a reason) one; start with that one for sure.

Just happy to help anyone on board with my favorite series :) Persona 4 and 5 are probably the most meaningful experience I have ever had with any media, and I am so happy so many more people get to play them now too. I am happy I get to play them on my favorite system as well.
