Robb Mariani's "Low Patrol" 1974 Ford W9000

- Опубликовано: 31 июл 2014
- Former American Trucker TV host Robb Mariani brought his hotrodded cabover, which started its life back when as a Tennessee Highway Patrol mobile command unit, to the Crossville, Tenn., edition of Overdrive'd Pride & Polish series. Here he walks us through some of the many modifications, built in concert with Lincolnton, N.C.-based small fleet owner Brad Wike and crew. Search for the rig on overdriveonline.com for more on the truck.

Absolutely great style . This is old shool trucking. THX for sharing really puristic
nice to see what was done to the truck since i saw it in American trucker on TV, very nice and stands out, I like it and the idea behind it 10-4
This guy comes off a lot more like a sports fan than a motorhead
Awesome job Robb ! Bring back " American Trucker" !!!!
International Truckers
That 9000 is just ridiculous ,nice truck Robb!
Badass little cabover Rob the show still on the air. Being a retired/disabled towtruck driver ,just love the show also
Keel up the great work!!!!!!!!!!!!... oh and btw please KEEP IT BETWEEN THE LINES......
Love the truck Robb!!!!!!!! Love your show American Trucker. When ever you bring it back, I'll gladly let you feature my custom Kenworth W900l.
Nice to see 90% of the video is close ups of this guy's face and like barely any of the truck and no wide shots, well done!
she is awesome! one of the classiest trucks ever built!
Beautiful rig. Well done Robb. Loved the W9000 and the Dodge cab over of the same era.
Cabovers are the coolest. I wish they would come back in the U.S. Europe only drives cabovers.
Wish I drove an American cabover in Germany the European trucks suck.
That Ford on Breaker Breaker was one mean cab over!
I saw that episode on American Trucker...you also got to start a part of the Baja race....glad to see you got the "ol rust bucket" finished👍
Bring back American trucker🗣️🗣️🗣️
I would pay for this guys flights to my joint and shout him a baggy of coke... Imagine him on the rack... What a mad dogg dude he just goes and goes with talking. Not knocking him either lol I find it fascinating all the quirks of characters you meet in the transport and logistics sector... I am quite simply hooked working in this field.
Rob, I remember that episode of you going ape shit over that old ford in mexico :) LOL
Often wondered if you ever got her completed, & a fantastic job you did! She is a beauty! :)
Love the cabover. My brother drove one back in the day for LJ Navy in Huntington, WV. Cool job on it...especially the square stacks...I just love those. Hope to see yours in person some day. Come to Ohio. Porter Bros.
The chopped top and paint job is nice. And then he opens the door and all that bright blue gave my optic nerves color overload!
HeyDude93gt have nick
chris Votran big
Outstanding job! Love to see the mundane transformed into magnificent, not another one like it anywhere!!
Enjoyed American Trucker. Glad to see your project finally finished. Hope to get mine finished someday.
keep it up robb. every one is about the new trucks the older trucks have the class and history.
Beautiful truck 💕
LOVE THOSE CHROME DAYTONS!!!!!!
One of the best rigs I have ever seen. Great job!! From, another Wisconsinite
That is TOTALLY COOL !!! One guy asked about the tranny. Dimes to donuts its a Road Ranger 13 speed. And the rear gears
are probably 3.55:1 .... I think that just rocks, and my keyboard and jeans are wet with drool. The workmanship and colors
are NICE. LOL... love the Winnie comment. More true than a joke, that's for sure. The one thing I loved about those Ford's
is the air ride cab. It sure made working a lot better. Well, yes, you had to have those name tag letters. That's the sweet
spot. The icing, no less. Very cool Robb. Thanks for sharing.
Great job!
That's a sharp looking Cabover, and I do remember the show American Trucker. Nice job.
I am in total Awe!!! That WT is Sick as Hell
Hey rob I drove one just like that model only a day cab 35o Cummins I was 18 and now 55 and still at it keep up the cool videos
I miss that show. Needs to come back
The host killed it. If it had a better host it would have lasted longer.
Love it! Glad to see it completed. Would've made a great episode.
I remember watching the episode of American Trucker when you went to Mexico in search of parts. Its good to see the finished product. Miss the show btw...
this truck is bad ass i like it ....
What a truck, great job Robb.....now that you have it complete maybe come back out with American trucker!
Terrific pride of ownership.
That looks really good I rember that truck I believe used sit in Sanford FL 15 st 1792 for years I believe Rob used live there and used to play together in the e late 70 s
I would love to see this truck in person.. Looks beautiful as far as I can tell in this clip..
That's the biggest baddest blue oval I have ever seen!
Robb bring that awesome truck to the Manton Mi truck show
Love to see it going down the road
Gorgeous truck!!!
that's a nice truck very nice paint job interior sick
He said "I and We" a lot. I bet the only thing he did to the truck was to sign the check to the shop that did all the work !!!!!
James Potter yes he did do that its on tv he was on a show called American trucker and it showed it
disagree, there is episodes when he was working on trucks, you got too see a 20 minute show focused on this truck, were he had to be hosting his own show....Robbs knowledge on trucks far exceeds most people.
Robs and his buddy brad did alot of work to that truck
looks good rob.
great job !!!
great job she looks great
I hope you filmed some of those trucks in the background. They look badass.
sweet ride!
love it! but you need a wide angle lens bad! rob did a great job describing what he did to the truck very very clean! love the square stacks
I am not a ford man but that is one bad ass RIG it is something different out side of Peter and kenworth...
A1 GREAT LOOKING TRUCK...

Wrong!! The big grill letters were on them up to 1971, I had one. Those aren't trim rings either, they are split rings and they keep the tire on. California wheels. This guy's a tool.....
Chrome Dayton's are the shit!
sick Ford Rob
Nicee. Much respect
I came here to look at the truck & all I got was look at me look at me look at me........
This would be a really cool video about the truck if we could actually see the truck, not shoved 6" from this guy's face the whole time...
Aaron Miller My thoughts exactly. Shoulda been off camera narrating 30 seconds into the vid.
I agree ☝️. This ass, thinks that we came here to see him taking sh...🤮
cool truck
Robb love that rig looks sweet! what the heck is going on with ur show Americain Trucker? Miss your show.
Robb Mariani? Where did you go? Let's do more American Trucker.
Three semi trucks,I want.
1. International KB 11 or 12
2. Ford WT9000
3. Late 1950s to early 60s White freightliner cabover.
Cool!
COOL , COOL, COOL!
Took serious work to resurface cast daton hubs for plating ... Nice
nice job rob good to see that you finished up the truck. WHAT ABOUT THE SHOW? will we ever see it again? best of luck and keep on trucking!!!
Beauty
Nice 9000!👍
Wow he finished it...
Well done . You made 90'welds on the pipes . Nothing you did here was hot rod my buddy couldn't do in his garage
who made the grill it's awesome
lets hear it son
Looked at this again...still like the truck...quite classy, smooth and with attitude. Good job. It has a Cummins now? Guess I have to watch it again to see. Here’s the $Million question...do you have a special trailer that goes with it? Maybe a pup trailer would go well with it. Good job, Dude!
The trucks great. I used to drive for a living. Don't let Jan Michael Vincent get a hold of it !
so where is a video of the truck?,more than the wheels and letters
I've never seen chrome daytons before is this the only truck that has them or are there others
all that work and all I see is the hose clap
What happen to painting it back to Factory Ford Paint Scheme as you stated before? Which also brings me to ask CHOPPED top?
sucks that the top got chopped like that.
nobody has built square stacks.....seen plenty and not that custom square is readily available. We have done one with triangle stacks with triangle covers worked out pretty sweet.
When is he coming back on TV??
тнaт'ѕ мy υncle
Twin Cobras? Double the shitty radios
i almost like that truck until i seen you
Should be on the next transformers movie
hey Robb can you make a video with the truck and not you, lol
Is this what became of the W9000 from the episode where he went to Mexico? I was hoping for a full restoration, not this.
makes me think i wanna Jack this truck and joyride round the truck stop throwing rocks at the ho's
why chop such a rare truck..😣
Geile Kiste
Had to take a shit,wad I mis?
Show me the truck!!!!!!!!!
Cool truck, bad video. We want to see the truck, not his face.
futboleroR10 he’s a good guy trying too tell facts
An original W9000 with 53,000 miles and he ruins it by doing that. Why!He showed pictures of what the truck looked like originally on the show he should have left it that way.For a guy who gets excited about old trucks he should never have done that.Practice what you preach Robb.
shouldnt have chopped it they ruined it
Maybe this guy needs less Red Bull?
Bad sss
Rob used his TV fame to build his own truck for little cash out of his pocket
He’s a tool but the truck is cool
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
Its a ford.so what
