I'm so glad to see you're leaving Woody intact. Labs tend to be very non-confrontational (there are always exceptions to any breed) and very naturally socialized. He reminds me so much of the last dog in my care (a Black Lab, actually so dark brown that he looked black), who would, of course, find females to court, but even then, he was very gracious and would dance and do things to impress them. It's very obvious that you're very good with him. He glows. I have immense envy.
I take Andy to home depot when its monsoon time or snowing and we cant go out to the forest... but he LOVES gloves, so I can't walk down the glove aisle or else he will snag a pair!
I have a lab , she’s training to be my service animal and it’s nice to see another lab that’s does somewhat of what she does . She’s very social but she does pretty good in stores she doesn’t mess with people Unless they mess with her . But cause she’s becoming a service animal I’m trying to teach her ignore people even when they’re trying to get her attention. She’s big and she’s scared some people already cause she’s very excited but they take it agression . It’s a stressful task but worth it when I see her improvement

I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen dogs in Home Depot and I’m an old guy. And those were service dogs. There is a restaurant close by that has outdoor seating that I have taken him to where I could sit well away from people. Some people are not dog people and I don’t want to put someone off. But that’s just me. It doesn’t bother me at all when I see someone who does have their dog with them in a store as I am a dog fan but it’s rare I see it.
He did really well for a young pup on his first trip to a big store.
