Going through AFF was the best moment of my life. I wish I could forget how to skydive and learn it again. Thank you Skys the Limit in East Stroudsburg
Awesome job! I started AFF last Sept. When the season starts this year I'll be on jump 21. I still can't land very well and I'm nervous that I forgot everything but still can't wait to get back in the air! Blue skies!🪂❤️
I had on about 45 days gap and was nervous, I was on jump 15, my instructor came to me and said, you have already done this 15 times, done be nervous, go through Emergency Procedure, relax and smile and arch. Landing are hard to figure out, I had most of my landing standup until, and i was like i got this, then there were days my landings were muddy almost all 4 that day, I was like what d hell. so chill out on landings...

@@РазимГаббасов haha I wish! 😆 I think I’m a little too far from Russia to make the expenses reasonably affordable than in my home drop zone. But I would love to come visit and make a jump in Russia! Looks like the skies and views are awesome out there too!
I read somewhere that if you fall upside down, just relax and arch and u will automatically rotate the right way, and at 5:56 u did just that, and I got to see that its actually true. Taking aff in two weeks, cant wait!
I’ve been an overweight person for the majority of my adult life. However I’m getting my health under control and reaching goals I haven’t been able to meet for years. My goal by late this year or early next year the latest is to be down to between 210-220. When I reach this goal, I want to celebrate with going on my first skydive and would love to get licensed. I’ve been wanting to go skydiving for a very long time but my weight has been an issue. Your video gives me inspiration
@katiebishop-manning8934 my next jump will be one more 360 then barrel rolls and loops. Unfortunately I live in northeast Nebraska so the weather isn't allowing many days there so I might not be able to keep my 30 day currency. Even though the drop zone is 2.5 hours away I still go every time I have a chance to jump. Made the trip yesterday but the fog and overcast never broke for the 2 hours they were calling for.
Hey! In total I think I spent around 4,000. And for me it took about 3 weeks to get my license but I did it during the winter when we were only open on the weekend! I’ve seen people do it in a week and I’ve seen people do it over a couple months. It’s at your own pace.
Have you had any rough landings? I’ve done 3 jumps. First and third I flared too soon. Really messed my ankle up on the first one. Doing my fourth Sunday and I’m a bit nervous.
I actually fractured my tailbone on my first jump from flaring too soon! That made me stand up my landing on my third jump because I did not want to land like that again! Hope your jump on Sunday went well!
@@katiepeachbm it went much better thank you! When I did the second jump they didn’t have any 280 parachutes available. They gave me a 260. And even though that was the scariest jump (me and the two instructors started spinning-one instructor let go and put us into a hardcore spin in all directions. Then I lost that one. Protocol is pull immediately. I did but I was spinning. My lines tangled. I really thought this is how I die. But I got them untangled!). They gave me a 260 for that one. I felt so in control of that one. I slid in on my butt bcuz my ankle still hurt and I didn’t want them to know I was wearing a brace. But I slid on so smooth. From here on out I’m using the 260. Still scared though! It’ll be awhile before that goes away!
On my cat B jump, I got fixated on waiting for the instructor to tell me to flare on the radio, and I never heard it, so I ended up not flaring. I landed HARD on my butt and it caused a minor compression fracture in my L2 vertebrae. Watching this video to deal with the sky diving withdrawals while i wait to go back out after 6 weeks of healing lol @@jwprimetime9795
@@BurninatorTheTrogdor I'm wondering how many days the AFF course or A license takes. I'm from Vietnam, so I need to determine the duration required to complete this course. This information is essential for visa arrangements and booking accommodations.
@hiepnh610 sorry I was joking obviously. If you find a DZ with a lot of instructors and aren't super busy, you can breeze through in a week. Weather is also an issue. I would plan a couple weeks and ask the dz before you book.

Nice work. Stable out of the plane, great altitude awareness, solid progression.
First dive June 8. Can't wait to go again 😅😅😅
Well done Katie! Can’t wait to finish mine after school wraps up
You are awesome! That was truly inspiring. I loved your tracking in those later "G" jumps, and you were just sticking those landings. Very cool!🙂
So cool your instructor/coach fruity looped you on the check dive!!
Great job on all of those jumps! Your landings are impressive for a fresh A license!
Thank you!
Great progress Katie, You made it look easy lol, thanks for sharing #BlueSkies

That’s an incredible goal! And skydiving is a great motivation! Do you know what drop zone you are going to go to?
Awesome !
It's so cool that usa lot can wear a full face helmet straight away.
after AFF jumps we can wear it for the rest of our A license jumps!
thank you for sharing, you made a nice progression. the 8way was kinda scary but well managed ✌
