Me encanta la voz de V y el álbum de Layover en su totalidad me encanto .V es un artista muy completo y le encanta ser perfeccionista en todo lo que hace . En fin todas las canciones de V son muy bonitas y con gran calidad.
Same here Frankie. V’s voice is the one that reaches my soul. Suggest you also check out V’s lives in Tiny Desk, and his live for Blue/Love Me Again/For us in SBS or Inkigayo
The brilliant aspect of this album is that each song is part of a linked short story. Each song represents the emotional toll and different emotions of a breakup of an over time. "Love Me Again" contains references to Nam June Paik, (the TVs), Andy Warhol, ( the sparkling red sleeveless turtleneck,) and the set looks like a cave. I lived near Monmouth Cave in Kentucky and many musicians, such as Yo-Yo Ma and choirs, like to play in caves for the change of acoustics. Fantastic album on so many levels. Happy Birthday V!
@@silviamunoz6863 Sorry! I meant to say I was familiar with musicians and singers playing music in caves, but this wasn't shot in Kentucky! But the Spain cave is intriguing. I'll look it up. Thanks!
The album was perfect as is. It was intentional not to have adlibs background vocals and all the usual stuff artists do. High notes, background vocals and ad libs serve the artist more than it serves the song. V is using the vocals to express the lyrics in its truest emotional sense. The lyrics and the MV’s depict the storyline which is a long lament about the stages of a break up and so the tone and music is repetitive intentionally. V served the lyrics with the vocals and his intention was not to commercialise the song choices he made. He could have done that for the charts but instead he wants to explore his musicality differently. I am so done with same old same old music sung with the as libs, high notes background vocals, electronic sounds etc. That’s why V’s album was ranked #2 on the 2023 end of year best kpop list on billboard. V’s music is a little experimental as he is going for different sounds with his music. Finally, he made these studio version simpler so that he can make different arrangements when sung live as seen on the Tiny Desk and the band Sessions. That’s the beauty of this style of music, the live version can be changed up every time and still sound amazing.
Have you heard blue & grey song? Its should be on v album but bts love that song & used it in BE Album.. Its wrote by V.. Its the song about covid 19.. He had a really burn out that time.. He hardly sleep & more skinny.. He wrote a note & that is blue & grey English version.. By wrote what in his mind he started to be himself again😊
Blue & grey (be album) Sweet night (ost) Both this song he wrote & being produced in 2020.. For me this song have a deep meaning & so beautiful.. Please react to it when you have time.. 😊😊
I just let it play start to finish but “For Us” gets put on repeat often. Loved hearing your analysis. So many cool things we would never had known about the process or recordings. I think I’ve seen Pdogg using that device you mentioned. 💜
I wonder if this is a case of ignorance is bliss. I love that you're teaching us all this musical nuance and things I would never pick up on BUT also because I don't pick up on it I never ever noticed the things that irritate you as a drummer. Slow Dancing is my favourite song from the whole album. Love that you keep it real Frankie, no one will fault you for that when it's backed up and respectful. Thanks for your review! While V has written songs, and was working on an album of his own songs, he ultimately decided to receive songs for Layover.
This is a visual as well as audio feast. V had a visual concept for his album and has MVs for all songs. Although he does write music (Blue and Grey is a perfect example), he received all the songs for this album. He wasn’t happy with the songs he wrote himself and needed to finish before he left for the military.
I don't think he wasn't happy with the songs he wrote, he just wanted them to be perfect. I also heard that there had been some impersonation going on in his company and some of his songs might have been stolen. Either way he's an amazing songwriter, he has writing and composing credits in his latest song, Winter ahead
I think (similarly to JK) Tae asked for songs to be sent that would fit with his album theme... he isn't credited with any lyrics, there is a 'Kim' credited but I think it's Kim Ximya (A SK rapper)... He did begin writing tracks for his solo album a couple of years before he released Layover, but wasn't happy with anything he'd written and didn't want to release it unless he was happy with the result.... (He talks about it on his ep of Suchwita with Yoongi... ) So with the military looming he was basically running out of time... I think his next solo work will be totally Tae...
A person accused of impersonating a BTS member and leaking unreleased music was sentenced to one year in prison. On 19 Jan, a judge in the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Div 27, sentenced Mr A to one year in prison. From Aug to Sep 2022, A pretended to be member Suga and approached Producer B and obtained unreleased sound sources. In November, A pretended to be Producer B and contacted Suga to obtain info regarding the album, release date, military service info related to enlistment date. He also pretended to be V and received more than 10 unreleased music files from other producers (not affiliated with Hybe). This person has committed the crime before but the judge gave the sentence because A was "reflecting" and his family was determined to keep him in check. A is a music producer and has participated in the song production for a famous idol group in the past. He has filed an appeal.
Taehyung already so excited to produce his own song which have 12 song.. He even mention it on his vlive & interview.. That is why he need someone else help producing his album..
Everything you're saying is personal preference but what makes him V is exactly that his choices are different. I get off on the tone and texture of his voice, and applaud his love of jazz. To me it sounds like you're saying some of his choices are mistakes. I have a master's in Renaissance music and would never question another artist's choices. Why do that? Maybe the next album he'll make different choices, I'll be supporting and applauding those too. I really hope you'll check out his acting chops in IU's Love Wins All 🙏💜
I don't know the legalities but could you remix the songs you don't like? I love V's voice. I am OT7 but he is one member that I gravitate toward for many reasons.
Tae made a music video for every track to be watched in order. Definitely worth another reaction.💜
Yep, saved them for another time!

In fact, it's a cave in Spain.

Interesting analysis. I know at times the audience can be tough but keep saying your piece. You educate in ways other reactors don't.

What a great point. He connects with so many people for different reasons. To me, that makes him a top tier singer and performer.
Exactly!

I could but unofficially, to do it properly I would have to get a license from Big Hit. :)
