The worst: I miss the other six. The best: They are each one exploring new areas, new interest, going trought new goals, enjoying life and filling us with so much new music, art and joy.
I love all of Jimin's albums, especially Face. He executed each genre so well. Face, in particular, is an exceptional storytelling album and he ended the song with Set Me Free P.2, which in another way, is a call for deliberation and freedom, and it's a good transition to Muse that starts with Rebirth. In Face, his ability to convey his emotion through each song - starting with betrayal, to pain, frustration, and loneliness, and to deliberation and freedom. I wish I could re-live Face's area.
I love both albums. Face was so good, I loved seeing the "dark" side of Jimin. Face-off and Letter are my favorite on. The line in the English version "I can hear the voices listening, don't know who they are" from Like Crazy, is so good. Muse also, from Smeraldo to Who, with Slow Dance creeping to favorite. And Closer Than This. I don't have the interludes in my playlist, but every other song is.
I'm a little confused and surprised that anyone is surprised by Jimin's success in the US. I know BB#1 is a high bar, but I never worry about Jimin, if that makes sense. I'm in the US, and I sense and see massive support for him. I do worry a bit about charting for some of the other members' solo releases, so I work hard to stream JHope, for example.
The way you spoke about jimin is exactly the way many do, with surprise and doubt, for every other member people start talking with uplifting stats, but with jimin is like a surprise of “wow, I didn’t imagine that” and that’s where people stay. Since Lie of wings era ppl should have known, but that’s why I love him, ppl don’t expect him to do that good.. and yet he does.. always. And FACE was plague with sabotage.. oh, and he is on Hot 100 because of sales and streams, I don’t know from where you got that he Isint doing well with sales when his album is 3 on K-pop this year end with only 5 months of tracking and is doing so well internationally ( not only USA). But negativity is always there when some people talk about jimin 🤷🏽♀️. And I’m truly happy that all the members are doing amazing, the comeback is gonna be FIREEEEEE!!! Can’t wait 😊
I don't get it either. Muse is so great, and I love FACE also. Both represent parts of Jimin. Jimin is the full package. His kind, humble personality and his charisma on stage are top tier. I am not saying he is better than the other members, he is different. I enjoyed each member's solo songs and releases. For me the top 3 soloist albums are Jimin, Suga, and Jin's. Doesn't mean I don't like theother members album, I have bought them all and listen to all of them. I am not big into rap, so I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed all of the rappers albums, Suga/Agust D D-Day spoke to me the most. I loved his concert. 💜 OT7 and 💜 all solos. I am hoping that there concerts will be able to be a combo of solo and group songs, it would have to be a longer concert.
@@karen4624My top albums are the same as yours but with Jungkooks Golden as well. Like you I have bought all of them but they are the ones I loved the most. Like you as OT 7 I purchased everyone’s and have a favourite in each one. OT 7 forever.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
@ Karen jimin just had his hanteo first week sales restored, making him the first one to get 1M and 2M sales, 400k of those are still missing, let’s see wish “real ot7” channel you will see this news. They downplay his achievements from army to weverse to Mr Bang itself. The only ones that actually give jimin his colour a are BTS members collectively and his fans.. (and yes there are amazing army that are true ot7 and love all the votes and don’t shade them). But just listening to this channel that was supposed to be neutral, calling herself true army, the way she spoke about jimin how can you defend him against haters when inside his fandom there’s questioning of his achievements? 🤷🏽♀️.. every member is valuable and amazing and I’m happy that all of them gets 100% positive remarks, but .. 😔.. happy new year dear 🥳
@@katianajacinto8293 It does suck. Ironically, Hybe's rollout for Muse was better than Face, even though he was in the service. He was more assertive this time. I am so proud of Jimin, when he was young and was doing martial arts, he followed through on all of them. In a video, he said he would call his father and say don't worry if I get cut, I will still succeed. And he has. He is so sensitive, he feels so much.
Hope Jin pursues Pop Rock bc agree he can conquer it. His voice and charisma with a band is so incredible and he gained a ton of new fans which is so great. Jin is my favorite but BTS members are all so creative and talented. Very special group
One of the things I liked about their solo era is that they made me listen to different music genres I've never thought I would like, they made me expand my music taste and I really like it. Waiting for the return next year as ot7!!
I love rock, I want to him has his own rock band for each comeback alone from now to forever... He just soooo buried himself in my little rocker hearth. 😊
The surprise of this fandom to his accomplishments is so sad jimin made me a fan I always saw his potential while everyone including yourself saw him as a cheerleader to the group, and yes America is jimins with no help with collaborations just himself and his fans we love and support him and is truly sad that his own fandom never thought of him beyond bts hope this changes but I doubt it 😢
Yes, why would anyone be surprised 🤷♀️ ... within 10 years Jimin showed his versality whether by his solo songs and performances ... let's remember Lie, Filter, Serendipity which were and still are popular among the songs of their albums ... Jimin already exposed himself to became popular, his success was denied by purpose not to overshadow the other members ... ppl just ignore what RM said in an interwiev... this lady made two videos analysing Jimin's songs ... she was praising the lyrics, structure, the way he was expresing his feelings ... I wonder why that is all she had to say about Jimin now ... of course I agree with all she said about others
He is a cheerleader that does not make him less brilliant 😊 I knew that if he wanted he would be huge but always tought he did not wanted all that appart of BTS. I want him to come back and keep amazing us with his voice 🥰 and dancing 🥰 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
by the way, maybe you dont have much time to research, Jimin’s WHO has more than 2 million sales in US already, he is strong in sales not just streams, every week WHO is the best seller and its remixes in AMAZON.
I love that the guys have extended their music style. I hate that the toxic ones hate on the other members. I also love how thru their solo's they continued talking about how they missed the others and were wanting to get back together. It showed their love for each brother. ❤ 🫰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
After correction, "FACE" is officially a 2 million seller on Hanteo, with 2,166,915 sales in 2023! This means Jimin was the actual first Korean solo artist to sell 1 million AND 2 million album sales on Hanteo. While a positive move, it doesn't correct for all sales deleted, more than 400k sales are still missing, and nor does it address the impact of the nearly 2 years of under-reported sales. This could have affected Jimin in the year-end awards also.. We still have to wait and see if MUSE numbers change also (the chart froze just like with FACE and there were no new sales in that time.) I cannot wait for a time when Jimin is able to make and release music without the blatant sabotage and mismanagement that he faces, yet all of it gets ignored because the man is beyond successful regardless, the charts will get real funny for everyone.
Jimin's solo rollout was always obvious. Jimin moves in silence, despite what many people maybe think and believe Jimin is extremely secretive, it may not look like it but he's actually the most mysterious member, he only shows and tells us what he wants us know in that instance, he's always off the grid working on his own, quietly. Considering how he's the biggest perfectionist of the group, it should've been clear to people that he'll bring great things. Also Jimin has always been the IT factor, or the Star of BTS, the one who naturally stands out, he's always been the most popular member especially in the west, since the beginning till now, considering the type of numbers his solo's had done in BTS previously, it should've been obvious that he's going to break the charts and he did just that. All on his own, with his songs, telling his ideas and concepts he's dominating the charts and industry and making his own way, as he clearly said he will. People need to pay more attention to what Jimin actually says, instead of the narratives, when asked what he believes in, everyone else spoke about the group, but Jimin with pure conviction said that he believes no matter what, he can make his own way. The man has crazy ambition, for the group as well as his solo's. The group is and has been his topmost priority but that doesn't take away his ambition for himself as a solo artist, which was apparent in his two conceptual albums.
@@nicoleloss7987 He is and he has always been, since the beginning. You're lowkey moving like an anti lol. Jimin has always had the biggest solos under BTS, since Lie which was the biggest solo song on Wings, and 2nd biggest overall, just after BS&T. Jimin is the one member who's actually popular for and in everything, whether that's his music, singing, dancing, personality, his impact in the fashion industry, being the only one that was mentioned in BOF by Dior back in 2018, the most #1 in brand rankings. Jimin was known as the rising star of Busan before he even joined Bighit, RM, Bang PD, Suga and other members have multiple times admitted that it's Jimin who initially brought popularity to the group. While I agree there isn't a lot of difference between the maknae line, when it comes to popularity now but Jimin is without a doubt the most popular member in the US, UK and SK.
@@nicoleloss7987 Jimin is one of the most popular members, depending on the country, he is popular. The Jimin effect is real. He is breaking records right and left.
I love what BTS members have achieved in their solo career and it totally reflects on their individual goals. I see a lot of people talking about certain members being more popular than the others but the way I view it is different. You simply cannot ignore the drastic genre differences between the members. Jimin and jungkook have done extremely well in their solo careers with mainstream pop ,holding their own with pulling in big streaming numbers and sale despite these being their debut albums and songs. Taehyung!!?? Who is doing it like him? Who is pulling in a billion streams for a R&B jazz Korean song? Literally no contemporary of his is doing that. He is on a league of his own. Calling him a star even feels like an understatement .he is something else. Yoongi is an absolute STAR RAPPER. He is a true artist. After his sold out tour and absolute domination at the same I don’t think he has got anything to prove to anybody. Namjoon is again a man who is unrivalled. Sometimes when I listen to RPWP I wonder if Iam qualified to even listen to such high quality music…he has always been the one to add that extra credibility and ART into everything he has done and it shows with all the critical acclaim he has gotten. Jin is a total pop rock star and one of the only bts members in my opinion to completely surrender to the emotions of the genre/song. His sincerity shines soo much in his music as well his promotions. JHOPE was the first one to release a solo album in bts and wow was that the best decision they could hve done cuz tht man paved the way, he set the standard high for all other members to follow. Nobody comes close to jhope’s perfectionism and absolute passion at what he does. I am soo proud of all of them be it mainstream pop, jazz, lowfi R&B, city pop, rock, hip-hop, alternate rap or whatever they do total justice to the genres they chose for themselves. And with members like taehyung and jin I feel music might not even be the only road they are gonna walk on cuz they hve soooo much potential interms of acting. I also feel like jungkook and taehyung especially hve this factor of getting super viral for anything n everything tht they do and sky is the limit for them.Jimin also on a certain scale has this virality factor to him.
You're right, V really is stepping outside of kpop and pop in general. So proud that V is making his mark in the jazz/R&B genre. The fact that Winter Ahead became the biggest jazz debut on Spotify is a huge achievement for a Kpop idol going solo. That he topped charts with 2 winter songs released back to back during a very challenging season is remarkable. And let's not forget that Layover also garnered a ton of critical acclaim (not fan voted). All the other members made incredible achievements, too! My personal faves are Suga's D-Day, RM's Lost and Groin and Jimin's Who.
People should've seen it coming, Jimin has always been the most popular member in the west while also being the most popular one in SK as well, without even trying, the man was part of the pop culture conversations since forever, all of his songs does insane numbers everywhere, especially the US. Promise for example, broke Drake's record and debuted with 8m on Souncloud, that has never happened on that platform, it's still the biggest song on the platform. Jimin is the biggest k soloist on platforms like Itunes, Souncloud, Shazam, Tidal, Pandora, Deezer, not to mention he owns Spotify US all on his own.
Jimin is hands down the most popular member in America, not just USA, but also South America as well. He's the one with the most actual solo achievements from the west, and I agree with Asia, Jimin is the most popular in SK, Japan, Europe, Africa, Russia and some countries in the middle East. V and JK are more popular in countries like China, India, Thailand, Indonesia and other South and Southeast Asian countries. A good look at from where their sales, streams and achievements are coming from will tell you the same.
@@BTSISMYHAPPYPLACE4VERYes, born and raised in Boston, I've been following BTS since 2015 and it's always been Jimin. While I agree that JK is the one who's being promoted in the US rn, with all the collabs with artists like Usher, JT, Charlie Puth, Jack Harlow, Latto, Major Lazor, DJ Snake, Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran with all the promotion and everything, but despite all of that, Jimin is going toe to toe with JK all on his own, with almost non existent radio, mostly Korean songs with minimal promotion. Not just right now, even before Jimin's always been the member that's been part of the pop culture conversation since forever, whether that's him going viral for his red carpets, reactions or the whole fiasco of multiple people getting thousands of surgeries to try and look like Jimin for clout, are few of the examples.
For me each member has such a great talent individually that we didn’t really see it coming. The range of music that we have witnessed through BTS solo’s is astounding. BTS are artists and I have stopped thinking of them as K-pop artists but really talented artists. RM said it that they should (and probably will) do unit songs together. He already called out the units. Remember when he was with Jimin talking about his album. We got a heads up. I love all their solo albums. It did take a while to understand jack in the box but I eventually did. Love love ,love all the solo albums.
I can't stop thinking of the song Spring Day in association with the recent tragedy. I would like to suggest it's use as a filler in all our playlists. My heart goes out to all those affected 💜💔💜
I love that they are getting to do things they want. If solo fans listen to the members they all have said what they do strengthen them as a group & how much the members love & support each other & how proud they are of each other
Speaking from an American point of view, Jimin is just different. That's the US connection, he is different from what the US has in his "originality" ,style, voice tone, etc., while some of his music totally fits the pop/r&b genre, he is just such an original and not to mention but I have to, his talent yes but his extreme cuteness mixed with such sexiness is just an irresistible combination.
I respect Tae for going with his passion and not worrying about popularity. This shows a true inner strength and he should be proud Joon knocked everything out of the park! He truly showed he is a world class artist. There’s nothing I could say that hasn’t been said by all the critical acclaim he has received. I can’t imagine what he will give us next but I can’t wait I’m happy Jk got to take the rest he wanted during ch2. He told us that’s what he wanted to do & he deserved it after working since 14 years. I’m disappointed the way scooter and BPD took credit for his solo works. Yes they were heavily involved but it didn’t need to be mentioned in interviews like it was Hobi!!! Wow! Another one who went out of his comfort zone and was outstanding!! It’s a shame the treatment he got tho. I wish he stood his ground and didn’t give in to the whingers. Can’t wait to see what he has next & see him up on stage again Yoongi! He surprised me. His tour was epic but I didn’t expect it. Only because holding a tour as a rapper isn’t easy. His set list was spot on!! I LOVED it! Jimin. If you have been around since the beginning or close to it you would be aware Jimin doesn’t do anything without careful planning. He was popular in the US very early due to his unmatched aura. Nobody can change things up like Jimin. He’s going to be a force in the future and I’m so excited to see what happens with him next. Jin! What an INCREDIBLE artist. His growth was the biggest out of all the members. His confidence has grown and it shows. He no longer needs to lead with his WWH to cover his shyness or lack of confidence. His growth has my jaw on the ground I have followed BTS on tour around the world flying around anywhere I could get a ticket. We haven’t seen anything yet. When they return to the stage as 7 with the solo experience behind them we will see some of the greatest performances in history Solos ugh! They are destined to be part of the fandom & it’s crazy to think the members would not have them. Solo fans exist for all groups/bands. But the toxic vile fans are completely unacceptable! It’s quite funny to see they all say the same thing about mistreatment etc but sad they really don’t have enough respect to listen to their favs that they love the members and they’re a family. It’s also weird they want to control them and don’t respect their decisions The worst most harmful part is shippers. I understand it’s part of kpop (still weird) but the company and or the members need to put an end to it now. It’s completely out of hand and where most of the vicious hate comes from. I still don’t understand how a company the size of Hybe (i know bts are BH) cannot remove all of the disgusting vile yt channels that blatantly lie and spread fake information provoking hate. This is a huge downfall 2025 is the start of BTS conquering the music industry and I’m excited
I really love Joon and V and Suga solo work. I stream hope and Jin too, because I feel they are neglected and i like their rock throw back style. A few of jimins and JKs songs are okay but they feel too commercial for me.
Shippers are mentally ill to be very honest with you. I feel like even if hybe came out with a statement denying everything they would accuse hybe of being homophobic and South Korean societies low acceptance of lgbt community being the reason for members denying things. That is how out of touch and insane they are. Every time the maknae line mentions each other shit hits the roof I’m soo sick of shippers. They cannot even interact peacefully because of these degenerates. Eventually when members finally settle down with their real partners is when these roaches will cease to exist I suppose.
@ While Joons Indigo was quite commercial RPWP was anything but & it ate!! They all had mainstream pop style songs but other than Who i found Jimins album to be less commercial with Face Off, SGMB, Rebirth, Alone, SMF Pt2
Молодец , Чимин, впереди планеты всей. Все места, все награды его. Осталось только за малым, выйти на большую сцену и исполнять свои треки вживую. Пока помним только его энкор😢
I don't think that it is any of the member's responsibility to pave the way for anyone else. They have already done enough. Let them be free to do their own thing as they wish.
I think there is also one positive side about discovering one of the members as GP. When you like it, you can become more curious about BTS in general. At least that happened to me. When I saw "that that" and fell in love with this song, I saw the "prod. and feat. Suga of BTS", then I thought to myself: If this guy makes such a great song for another Artist, how good must the songs be, he created for his band...- What can I say. I was right. Devoted Army since💜
All 7 have the wow factor. But it was J Hopes LOLLAPALOOZA concert that surprised me. Not that he is a truely great charismatic performer but the scale of that success. The 100,000+ Chicago audience did not thin in the final quarter on a Sunday night. His concert was mainly in korean. As for Jimin. I like watching vocal teachers reacting and they all pick out Jimins voice. I was impressed how much confidence and control he took over the songs themselves. So I was not surprised by Jimins success. Just his creative growth, in other words as a mature artist.
One small correction, that night was Hobypalooza. 😊 I was so elated to be abble to watch live 😅 I think he was the most surprised of all of us when he saw ARMY being there for him in such numbers.
You can't measure success just by hits on American billboards. I wish JK and Jimin their success, but with rap line and Taehyung, it doesn't even make sense. Their music is not pop, and in the case of a rap line, it is also impossible to rap in English because their music is full of metaphors and Korean wordplay. Rap is primarily based on words. Even very few American rappers have reached the top of the hot 100. But this does not mean that the rap line does not have success, they are also regularly the first in sales on itunes in many countries of the world, J-Hope sold out the festival, Suga has a big sold tour and when he does big RM concert, I have no doubt it will be the same. In addition, the music of a rap line has great respect and praise from global music critics. Taehyung and Jin are also very successful. And the main thing is that no member made a below average album, all albums are good, in their own style.
Leo mucho comentarios de solos 🤷♀️ Afortunadamente la competencia que ponen entre los miembros es solo de ellos. Los chicos se comportan como familia y se apoyan entre ellos. Los que se sienten Army apoyan a los 7 por igual. 💜
From BTS' solo era, I really enjoyed waiting to see what each individual member would present to the world; what is their own artistic style and where they individually want to take their music. I enjoy music of many different genres so I have always enjoyed the rappers individually because their styles are so different but all hiphop ... and conscious, the only kind of rap that I will seek out and listen to purposefully. The vocal line gave us pop, jazz, and rock with great lyrics and awesome production. Plus they all are genuine and relatable people AND you can tell it from their interviews and from the way they speak about their music. I'm glad I found them! #BTSComeback2025
I really like how diverse J-Hope has been in his solo work. I think a lot of people were surprised by Jack in the Box. So unexpected but very good. Looking forward to whatever he has next.
What I love most about BTS members' solo music is how each of them brings something completely unique to the table. They’ve all explored such diverse styles and genres, showing parts of themselves we might not have fully seen before. It’s so inspiring to see how they pour their emotions, stories, and creativity into their solo projects-it feels like they’ve truly found their own artistic voices. Honestly, I’ve loved every single album because each one feels so authentic and personal. But, if I had to talk about the downside, it’s definitely the negativity that comes with solo stans. It’s so frustrating to see people tearing down other members just to prop up their favorite. BTS has always been about teamwork and unity, so it’s sad to see their solo work being treated like a competition. And then there are those other K-pop fans outside the fandom who try to dismiss their achievements or act like their success isn’t well-deserved. It’s unfair because they’ve worked so hard to get where they are, both as a group and as individuals.
I love the 7 members and i have my bias im not called my self army since 2020 i have my own reason, when they (bts) on their solo era there's a lot of army shown their true colors , towards bts members, how can they say they support 0t7bequally but itts different to what their action, theyvjust fucos on one member and the fandom cant even stream one member song ?? Its crazy right!
Yes, I agree with you. They used Jimin for Angel and he could be given more lyrics. Angel Pt 2 brings in Charlie Puth but I don’t think it did well except for Jimin
Forbes called Jimin the most successful soloist, listed Jimin higher than JK. Look at the actual charts and stats, Jimin has far more actual solo achievements to his name, especially in the US.
Agree... solo fans are fine. Solo stans are the problem. In Chapter Two, I love that they have all come out in their own styles so confidently, successfully, and unapologetically. They are being themselves... or at least the them at the moment. I love that they are never afraid to change and try new things. I love that, even on their own, they stay versatile and change things up between their solo albums and even within a single album. It has been a fun and busy two years. At the time, I was most surprised by Hope with Lolla! I mean... just wow!! And I wasn't sure what to expect with Jin but it wasn't what he gave us. Another surprise that I am enjoying so much. I hope they come back and somehow find yet a new sound that they haven't explored or that is completely them. I also wish ARMY would pull itself together and stop recharting Dynamite and/or Butter like they are today. I am glad for what the song has done for the fandom, but they didn't write or produce it and I know RM struggled with the success of it because of that. I wish we would let it be the success it is and work to push their own creativity and merits way past the success of those two songs. But that is just me voicing my HOPE on this New Year's Day for the Future of our boys. Either way... they are a success already and everything else that is Yet to Come is just the Butter on top. LOL. Enjoy your efforts, perspectives and insights. Thanks for sharing them with us. Wishing you a 2025 filled with comfort, joy, and the safe return of all our boys from their service.
Heres the thing, when I here someone saying this on member is the best and most successful, I just tell them that that isn't actually, necessarily true, because each member has set records, won awards, topped charts, etc..... Not to mention they all have millions of fans, and huge popularity. So these people can claim what they want, but they have all been incredibly successful, all in their own ways, and often times different members have even had other, different achievements than even the other members. So it just depends more on what is specifically being referred too. Because for instance someone could say Jimin, or JK is the most successful, just look at the record they have set, the album sales, and top spots on billboard 100...... which is all great for Jimin and Jk, but than I also just say ok..... but at the same time Jhope and Suga, have also both been hugely successful , and they have topped charts as well. Jhope is actually the only member to perform to a crowd of over 100,000 people as a soloist. And Suga had a sold out solo tour. And both Jhope and Suga's albums are actually more critically acclaimed. Then after saying this these people really dont have much to say in regards to these valid points I have just made. Because these things are also true, and just goes to show that more than just one or two members have been hugely successful, and often times other members have achieved things other members have not. It just depends, largely on what is being referred to specifically. Because clearly there is more ways than one to be successful, obviously... Lesson here, is they have all been hugly succesful in their own right. and just because this one members has success in this one area, that doesn’t mean that the other members haven't been just as successful just in a different way, in a different area, so too speak. So honestly we need to have respect , and realize that each member is a force to be reckoned with, and they all have achieved amazing things. Not just one or two of them, but all of them!
I don’t agree Jhope & Suga’s albums are more critically acclaimed than the other two. It depends on each preference. I listen to Jhope & Suga’s certain songs only because I can’t appreciate their kind of songs, maybe later.
@CCL1218-s8z See what you aren't understanding is that Critical Acclaim comes from Music Critics, Reviews, etc.... This is not an area that depends on each and every persons perference. And on the well known and respected website such as Metacritic, this is where you can go to see what each critic has said individually about that music album and see the score that that specific critic has given that album. And metacritic takes that information, those scores and averages them to give that specific album a final altogether score. In fact just having an album be ranked by metacritic is a pretty great achievement. Honestly, as far as I am aware before Jhope had "Jack In The Box," I didn't really hear of anyone even related to kpop actually making it on to metacritic at all. Now I am not saying that it didn't happen, I am just saying what I had generally understood, and of course I could have been wrong, but I truly don't think I am that far off, either way. And this is a specific reason that when Jhope's "Jack In The Box" made it onto MetaCritic and also got a high ranking of 87, based on 6 critic reviews......Army was estatic, and I think many of us were surprised but very happy to have seen it happen. Also from what I know about Metacritic, is that not all albums get a ranking either, they have to have a certain amount of critic reviews to even get a metacritic score. Sorry to ramble, I was just trying to give you more information to better understand what I am speaking about. But I can say this, the problem with your comment is very clear right from the start. Whether a album is critically acclaimed or not is not up to just anyone in the generl public. In fact these music critics or just regular critics that review the albums are the ones that give these albums their critic reviews, rankings or scores. No offense but in this case specifically, when it comes to the critical acclaim of an album, your person preference is not a factor. So in full honestly your comment doesn't apply because it is simply incorrect from the beginning, with in the basics of how critical acclaim even works. It doesn't depend at all on each persons personal preference. And incase you want to put all this together, you will be able to see for yourself, that Jhope and Suga's first albums, Jack In The Box & D-Day both have higher critical acclaim shown by the overall Metacritic scores for each album. Infact of all the solo era albums that have a Metacritic score, RM, Jhope, and Suga have the highest critically acclaimed albums, with the highest critic scores of '89' (based off of 5 critic reviews) for Suga's D-Day, and a score of '87' for both Jhope's album Jack In The Box, and RM's album Indigo. (both those albums have that score of '87' based on 6 critic reviews) So theres some more information, and specifics directly from Metacritic. So I hope all this can help you understand more about what Critical Acclaim is, in general.
@@CCL1218-s8z ok well I tried to write a comment giving you quite a bit of information on understanding more about how critical acclaim works, but I think Youtbe must have ate it, because I can't find it now. But long story short. Your comment doesn't actually apply in the way I think, you think it does. Because Critical Acclaim comes from music critics and their rankings, reviews, and scores of certain albums, etc..... Music preference in general isn't what is really used to determine an albums critical acclaim. Not that it can't play some part, within the reviews and scores of the critics, because it can, but in general that isn't what a critics review is truly supposed to be mainly based on. It is supposed to be more professional and technically based than that, to try and put it in a different way, I just hope I am explaining it right. Because when looking at the big picture it can be a bit harder to explain in great detail in a comment like this on RUclips. But I digress. So again, just going by what you have written in your comment, I think you may simply not quite understand what Critical Acclaim is, because sorry but when it comes to whether or not an album is critically acclaimed, your personal preference isn't actually relevant.
Jack in the box was critically acclaimed album and raking it as top 10 rolling stone #9 which is highest ranked album by K-pop is a testament to how good the album was creatively. The fact Hobi did OTS with THE j.Cole that everyone love and respect is HUGE and hip/hope core fan in US loved him after checking his other albums . I remember a wave of reactors getting to BTS just purely out of OTS collaboration . Also, HOTS and him actually being head to head to well know dancer and giving them run for their money as pro dancer is something all of us are in aw of . Lastly , lollapalooza was a historically moment hence everyone in K-pop is aiming to go to a festival nowadays after Hobi became a headliner and made it a thing
Yes, exactly. J-Hope has the reputation of being the biggest coward in the group (because of vermin, being scared and stuff) but he's actually very brave in his career, he's the first BTS to release a full album, he's the first to perform alone in front of a huge crowd, he's experimenting with his music and he's not afraid to reach out to respected major artists.
Suga is not getting credit for his music and all his accomplishments for BTS.His songs got awards for bts. Why do some Koreans hate talented people? That guy needs to be celebrated. Just look for his concert in the US. He would be celebrated if he happened to have been born in the USA. Come on. I like Suga no matter what .
Jimin and Jin surprised me bc I didn't think back in 2022 that they'd do solo projects. So happy to see Jimin in a new light bc I didnt know the ambition was there to write. He has grown between solo 1 & 2. To learn that these solos were planned as chapters, it seems, and made so close to one another is amazing. Solo 1 was: this is what I can do. Solo 2 was: this is where I'm at. I think Angel from Fast & Furious was really good bc he participated with other American artists on a soundtrack. His feature with Taeyang was so good it seemed like Vibe was his song. I think these collorations added to his own portfolio. SUGA blew me away bc I didn't see a solo tour coming. To think that a rapper could do a 2 hour concert on a sellout tour was inspirational for the members & other idol bands. For SUGA it was probably the natural next step on the list. The whole D-Day cd is just powerful & no skip. Despite RM being the leader & main writer, j-hope is the most ambitious bc he can see the path of establishing a solo career & fulfilling goals as a member. He always has something to say & does it with his own flare. His path is always solid. There was no other time, no other band that could approach solo projects as they have. As they usually plan things 2 yrs ahead, I think these solos were in the back of their mind much earlier. How work as a band & impending solo artists blended together is something unique to them and their teams put forth with a solid foundation. The ones they looked to for guidance were always themselves. Other idols now have the playbook to help navigate. If anyone paid attn as HYBE was taking hits (seems calculated on some levels) in 2024, it kept its cool and pushed forward. Its biggest band kept quiet (mostly bc of their MS), but they've seen the road bc they started at the bottom. They've experienced the highest of highs & remain humble.
I think there’ll be more casual fans who just click with 1 mbr fm Ch.2 mbr solos-and may or not get into BTS as whole group; that’s OK. I think non-toxic solo fans are rare. I have no quarrel w/them if they don’t drag other mbrs AND don’t disrespect BTS as a whole. WHAT’S REALLY NOT OK WITH ME ARE SOLOS WHO *CLAIM TO BE “ARMY”* & (1) who disparage other mbrs/BigHit/Hybe; (2) don’t support BTS in at least one of following ways: streaming, buying album on their own or with help fm funders, RT/reply to posts on different platforms, share what they love about BTS with family/friends/neighbors/co-workers, vote if they can, etc.

The solo stans who are always complaining about everything don't care about their music or content, they're just selfish people who wants attention and be the number one on everything, and they're using the members to fullfill their egos.
Nope. Solos are fans of members, not of bts. Why cant you understand that? Solo and group are totally different concept and sound. Even army has their favorites thats why theres always been visible popularity gap between ml and hl.

I love your analysis and analogy that is why I subscribed to your channel. Most of my subscription doesn’t cover this type of channel. Talking only. But you have this ….. it ……. which does not make it boring. I just heard you reading my statement about V from one of your life. I think. Or other episode. I was shocked. Nicely shocked. 😊 Happy New Year. 🎆. It will be here in 3 and a half hour. Florida 😊. Ops. Two statements 😊😊
NamJuni documentary won in Europe wich was amazing. Also, SUGA won the Golden Rap performance award for HAEGEUM; J-hope won the Golden hip-hop award & the Golden K-Pop music video for ARSON; RM - INDIGO won the Golden Pop award for best K-Pop album of the year & COMEBACK TO ME won the Golden underground record of the year, also "Groin" and JungKook - STANDING NEXT TO YOU won the Golden Pop song of the year; Taehyung - won best artist of the year. 💜
Not this user deleted her original cmt where I corrected her that this award was a scam but reposted the same cmt to exclude Jimin. Again, those who read my cmt, this Pop Golden Award is a scam. Don't engage with it because you don't want to be scamped out of your money. It's a show created by a family with a greenscreen background. Last year, they advertised on their website and even created a RUclips trailer stating that they would invite all nominees and winners to their awards ceremony in Los Angeles, USA. This helped motivate many fans to download their app. However, it was found that they had lied about the ceremony and held it online with a green screen. While they do post photos of their physical “trophies”, there is no evidence that these are actually sent to the winners. This award show has no recognition in the music industry and is not covered by any major media sites. So be a smart online user and don't engage in the future. It's not worth it.
No Jimin's awards were not last week. Do you not remember the impact he has had on BTS. Listen to RM's talk with Jimin. Jimin was not mentioned in the above list of awards, which is a disrespectful thing. They all have their merits. Don't leave one out because of your opinions. It is childish. These are 7 talented impressive artists.
@johnmacinnis9325 are you telling me or the other commenter? FYI, the awards mentioned above are recent. Jimins awards were a few months back, and WE KNOW. I have been an ARMY for 8 years. And PLEASE STOP creating things on your mind that Jimin is hated. Jiminie is loved a lot. Just because YOU don't see his name, It DOESN'T mean he is hated. So STOP HARRASING PEOPLE. this awards are to tell Fairlane about the recent winners of LAST week, not the year.
Jungkook works well in the US commercially as you say and I agree but also because he sings very well in English and he knows how to sing with English linguistics to the degree that many who aren't Armys don't or wouldn't even know right off the bat that he is not English fluent but that mainly could become a hindrance though to him, say if he went all in as a solo artist so I don't believe personally that he would do that completely without his group attachment anyway.. Even Jhope said he could not ever fully enjoy many winnings for example in the beginnings because on a wide range, he simply lacked knowing enough English on a broad scale around the world to even fully enjoy everything.. However Suga is very strong on his raps being approx .95% in Korean , and rightly so if he chooses since he is a Korean artist, however it is true, although he is a phenomenal artist in and of himself, but US wise with hip hop and crossing over completely, breaking through the stereotypes continually will be highly challenging.
No mention of Jack in the Box's critical acclaim. It was also on a lot of year-end lists and #9 on Billboard's year-end list, the highest ever achieved by a Korean act.
really she didn't mention Jack In The Box and it's critical acclaim? Oh wow, ok, that's weird the most critically acclaimed albums that I am aware of is all by the RapLine and this includes Jhope's, Jack In the Box. At least last time I look at metacritic that was how it was.
Yes, I was also surprised by this title waiting for "the worst" part ... so what was the worst by her opinion 🤷♀️ ... reading between the lines while talking about all of them, I think that I understood and I am surprised on the base of all hers previous videos about each of their solo albums
Honestly, I dgaf about someone's tastes. I listen to music by MY ears, not through someone's. Critics are just people with their own preferences. Music should bring you emotions and thats it. So, Imho, the best solo albums are: golden, indigo and dday. The rest have some good songs though. The only album i dislike as a whole which is rare but what can I do is rpwp. Not my style at all while indigo and mono are my lane.
Well, hybe put bts credits on seven. It was very questionable move and disrespect towards jk. Solos were the ones who made hybe stop doing this sh!t. Also the army narrative - no matter who wins, its bts award - is also very disrespectful towards members. Solos dont lie, they support who they claim while army are shallow and play favorites.
and you said Jungkook needs radio to be stable on hot 100 explains the collaborations. Hmm, from the stats of seven last year there were days or weeks that total streams were outnumbered by radio plays. So i thought he is the mainstream international star here in US?
Nope - it’s Jimin in the US, by millions, and also the UK, most of Latin America, Russia and others. Who alone is now the largest streaming “K-pop” song in history on Spotify, passing Butter, over 237 million Spotify streams today and growing. The next is Jimin’s LC with I believe 114 M and Seven is like 105M. Except for bTS, no one else has broken the 100M US Spotify barrier. Jimin is also first soloist/lead Korean artist to exceed 1 billion on- demand streams in US (that’s not just Spotify, but YT, tidal, AM, Deezer, etc. and any time a listener chooses to listen to a song rather than a platform’s playlists). Jimin is actually closer to BTS’ total US streams than he is to the vocalist below him. I’m not trying to be in your face, but it’s well past time (years in fact) for people to recognize who Jimin is and how much he’s loved and supported in US and in many places around the world. I wish for all the members to experience the same. Happy New Year
@@Rory_Elder_28Yeah, you do know that you are not completely correct, and shouldn't try and pass on your opinions or what you think is correct as fact, And also you shouldn't pick and choose what facts to mention too intentionally mislead others, thats dishonest as well. So don't talk about others recognizing such things when you are the one coming off as a toxic solo with false information, because truthfully Army aren't going to pay you much attention, and obvioulsy with such false or misleading info, this is a good thing so just let it go and move on, or go tell someone else who doesn't know better, because that crap just doesn't work here
Nah, you're an anti fr. The company didn't even do the bare minimum for Jimin. The only member they moved for is JK, from Bang PD and Scooter providing him an entire album full of western collabs with artists like Usher, Jack Harlow, JT, Latto, Major Lazor, DJ Snake, Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran and many other to managing his promotion that lasted for months, with massive playlisting on every platform, covers and what not. On the other hand Jimin, especially Face was sabotaged left and right, his sales deleted, CDs never restocked, versions split, His songs were not even sent to the radio despite their being a massive demand, and the company did nothing. The audacity to credit the company for Jimin's success, he's the most successful soloist according to Forbes, and he did that all on his own.

@stargazing2628 Yes agreed, listen to RM talking to Jimin about Jimin's stage presence that helped propel BTS. They are all great. Disrespecting Jimin is disrespecting them all.

As they say, 'Jimin can't sing and most of the numbers of his streams are fraudulent.' Rest is history. If you knew, you knew. 'He owes his success to his solo fans and can't win an award if its not fan voted.' I pity him for being called 'fraudmin' on Twitter every day.
You are sad. What have you done of note in your life. Have you ever read the story of Jimin's life? No, probably not. Just a sad, unhappy person with an opinion, but no actual quantifiable data.

V@katianajacinto8293 he's still missing sales
Jin’s live vocals for HAPPY were phenomenal!! It was a really good album
I love rock, I want to him has his own rock band for each comeback alone from now to forever... He just soooo buried himself in my little rocker hearth. 😊
The surprise of this fandom to his accomplishments is so sad jimin made me a fan I always saw his potential while everyone including yourself saw him as a cheerleader to the group, and yes America is jimins with no help with collaborations just himself and his fans we love and support him and is truly sad that his own fandom never thought of him beyond bts hope this changes but I doubt it 😢
Jimin was the one that brought me into this fandom. His voice and the way he dances.
He is a cheerleader that does not make him less brilliant 😊
I knew that if he wanted he would be huge but always tought he did not wanted all that appart of BTS.
I want him to come back and keep amazing us with his voice 🥰 and dancing 🥰 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
This fandom is not surprised, one person is surprised.
by the way, maybe you dont have much time to research, Jimin’s WHO has more than 2 million sales in US already, he is strong in sales not just streams, every week WHO is the best seller and its remixes in AMAZON.
True' ❤
I love that the guys have extended their music style.
I hate that the toxic ones hate on the other members.
I also love how thru their solo's they continued talking about how they missed the others and were wanting to get back together.
It showed their love for each brother. ❤

Well said
After correction, "FACE" is officially a 2 million seller on Hanteo, with 2,166,915 sales in 2023!
We still have to wait and see if MUSE numbers change also (the chart froze just like with FACE and there were no new sales in that time.)
I cannot wait for a time when Jimin is able to make and release music without the blatant sabotage and mismanagement that he faces, yet all of it gets ignored because the man is beyond successful regardless, the charts will get real funny for everyone.
Jimin is not the most popular member.
@@JoonJune-rw8xp i remember a video where RM said exactly that. He said he didn't think BTS would be as popular without a Jimin
@@nicoleloss7987so who do you think is the most popular? who won the MAMA global fan choice? is it somebody else?
Very well said.
Jimins is loved in the US his voice is unmistakable and that is appreciated in the us
You're right, V really is stepping outside of kpop and pop in general.
Jimin is good but he is not the most popular in Asia or America.
@@stargazing2628How do you know this? Are you from the US?
@@BTSISMYHAPPYPLACE4VERYes, born and raised in Boston, I've been following BTS since 2015 and it's always been Jimin.

If solo fans listen to the members they all have said what they do strengthen them as a group & how much the members love & support each other & how proud they are of each other
there's something when he dance or sing i can't take my eyes when he dance solo or with bts group my eyes only focus on Jimin
JIMIN is America's biggest crush and we, as his fans, are a FORCE to be reckoned with!! #JIMERICA
💜💜💜👏👏👏
I respect Tae for going with his passion and not worrying about popularity. This shows a true inner strength and he should be proud
Joon knocked everything out of the park! He truly showed he is a world class artist. There’s nothing I could say that hasn’t been said by all the critical acclaim he has received. I can’t imagine what he will give us next but I can’t wait
I’m happy Jk got to take the rest he wanted during ch2. He told us that’s what he wanted to do & he deserved it after working since 14 years. I’m disappointed the way scooter and BPD took credit for his solo works. Yes they were heavily involved but it didn’t need to be mentioned in interviews like it was
Hobi!!! Wow! Another one who went out of his comfort zone and was outstanding!! It’s a shame the treatment he got tho. I wish he stood his ground and didn’t give in to the whingers. Can’t wait to see what he has next & see him up on stage again
Yoongi!
His growth has my jaw on the ground
I have followed BTS on tour around the world flying around anywhere I could get a ticket. We haven’t seen anything yet. When they return to the stage as 7 with the solo experience behind them we will see some of the greatest performances in history
Solos ugh!
It’s also weird they want to control them and don’t respect their decisions
The worst most harmful part is shippers. This is a huge downfall
2025 is the start of BTS conquering the music industry and I’m excited
@
While Joons Indigo was quite commercial RPWP was anything but & it ate!! They all had mainstream pop style songs but other than Who i found Jimins album to be less commercial with Face Off, SGMB, Rebirth, Alone, SMF Pt2
❤EVERYTHING you said about V, 100% on the money! Our smooth jazz king!
Jhope, Suga and JM & JK are completely different. So u cannot compare solely by sold out concerts etc. each solo has different concept & fans
When I saw "that that" and fell in love with this song, I saw the "prod. and feat. Suga of BTS", then I thought to myself: If this guy makes such a great song for another Artist, how good must the songs be, he created for his band...-
What can I say. I was right. Devoted Army since💜
I agree. They used Jimin to attract people in Angel
I first so baby JIMIN❤ video maybe 2014 and i was introduce to bts because of him
I hope Hybe gives him better resources in future projects like actual stage or MV.
More likely hybe will use bts to promote the other groups.
All of them, they great equally 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I love BTS, but i have my biases ❤
I really like how diverse J-Hope has been in his solo work. I think a lot of people were surprised by Jack in the Box. So unexpected but very good. Looking forward to whatever he has next.
💜🫶🏻 Happy New Year 🥳💜
I see many comments were removed.
I love all the solo releases. Each pursued different genre, thus we cannot compare them with each of them.
Quick correction. I think you just misspoke
Bing Crosby not Bill Crosby
Yes, I agree with you. They used Jimin for Angel and he could be given more lyrics. Angel Pt 2 brings in Charlie Puth but I don’t think it did well except for Jimin
I disagree with u. Data said that JK is the most succesfull korea solo in US and also in the world.
Heres the thing,
when I here someone saying this on member is the best and most successful, I just tell them that that isn't actually, necessarily true, because each member has set records, won awards, topped charts, etc.....
Beautifully expressed I concour 🤗👍💜
(both those albums have that score of '87' based on 6 critic reviews)
So theres some more information, and specifics directly from Metacritic.
Come on. I like Suga no matter what
.
WHAT’S REALLY NOT OK WITH ME ARE SOLOS WHO
*CLAIM TO BE “ARMY”* & (1) who disparage other mbrs/BigHit/Hybe; (2) don’t support BTS in at least one of following ways: streaming, buying album on their own or with help fm funders, RT/reply to posts on different platforms, share what they love about BTS with family/friends/neighbors/co-workers, vote if they can, etc.
21:55~ about Jin

The solo stans who are always complaining about everything don't care about their music or content, they're just selfish people who wants attention and be the number one on everything, and they're using the members to fullfill their egos.
Nope. Solos are fans of members, not of bts. Why cant you understand that? Solo and group are totally different concept and sound. Even army has their favorites thats why theres always been visible popularity gap between ml and hl.
@@Лена-р6я3и ? I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about those solos who are always complaining about everything and insult other members. They're not fans, just selfish people. Some reading comprehesion next time pls.
But i love theme all ❤❤❤ JIN ❤ RM❤ SUGA❤ JHOPE ❤ V❤ JK❤ BABY JIMIN❤❤❤❤
I would love some movies from them.
Love them all
I love your analysis and analogy that is why I subscribed to your channel.
Ya, it’s like Jimin is not part of BTS. Always forgetting to mention the awards he has received
@CCL1218-s8z OMG, these are recent awards from last week. Do you ever care about the other members? Stop it already.
Even without Collabs he did well, look at euphoria,my time
No mention of Jack in the Box's critical acclaim. It was also on a lot of year-end lists and #9 on Billboard's year-end list, the highest ever achieved by a Korean act.
It was a phenomenal album; it blew my mind
really she didn't mention Jack In The Box and it's critical acclaim?
Oh wow, ok, that's weird the most critically acclaimed albums that I am aware of is all by the RapLine and this includes Jhope's, Jack In the Box.
At least last time I look at metacritic that was how it was.
Don’t call any worst. Bad word choice.
The worst was solo stans accusing ARMY of ignoring their bias and HYBE of sabotage.
It has been ridiculous and exasperating!!!
@ you making up your own facts!!!!
Really naive of you to think that any of the seven would let things like those you claim slide !!!
Just to say #SolosAreAntis
and you said Jungkook needs radio to be stable on hot 100 explains the collaborations.
Happy New Year
@@Rory_Elder_28 😂😂😂🤣son muy toxicas y alucinadas cuando se trata de su favorito
@@Rory_Elder_28Yeah, you do know that you are not completely correct, and shouldn't try and pass on your opinions or what you think is correct as fact, And also you shouldn't pick and choose what facts to mention too intentionally mislead others, thats dishonest as well.
So don't talk about others recognizing such things when you are the one coming off as a toxic solo with false information, because truthfully Army aren't going to pay you much attention, and obvioulsy with such false or misleading info, this is a good thing
so just let it go and move on, or go tell someone else who doesn't know better, because that crap just doesn't work here
For real I disagree with the way she puts it
JK is the most succesfull solo. Its not Jimin. Company made it up and make fraud stream for all jimin solo.
Suga is my no:1 Bias in BTS,
Jin is my no:2 Bias in BTS,
JHope is my no:3 Bias in BTS.
But l love all the members and cheer for all 7 members. l love it when Jin, Jimin and Jungkookie interact- they become chaotic and l love it. Yes, l love all of Our 7 BTS KINGS equally. Waiting for June 2025 to see them together.🫰🌹💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🌹🫰🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Yes you love all members of BTS but forget Taehyung 👏👏👏👏👏
Why solo stan always mention Tae like he’s forgotten?
Cos you say you love 7 then mention by name 6 very specific..
I pity you.
This channel is awfull and downgrading jk success solo activities... so sad
Thank you m"am for appreciating BTS. They have reached their heights through sheer hard work. I think it is unfair that they receive such flak. So happy that Hybe Corporation is standing up for BTS and taking action against the haters.
Happy New Year to you m'am, to Our 7 BTS KINGS and to Hybe Corporation.🙏🫰🎄🎄🎄
