It will be a trade off more people might stay more than 30 days but some of those that were staying year round will now only stay the 6 months to avoid the new tax rules.

Honestly, people that want to spend more than 2 or 3 weeks in any country for a vacation must have some serious money to spend. Not only the very costly air fare, the costs of the hotel length, the food spent during that whole time, the attractions visited, the souvenirs, the taxi or grab rides, and anything else adds up to thousands of dollars!
For me it's also because I want to return back to the USA home, get back to work and not miss more money, and get back into my circle of comfort back home. For those wishing to live in another country then it's a different story.

60 days is great and my country is on the list but I plan to stay 90 days. Do I still need a tourist visa for 90 days??? Or those 60 days can be extended for another 30 days at the Bangkok Immigration Office???
If not, then can we exit the Thailand after 60 days and enter again for another 60 days? Like a sort of visa run before?
If anyone with visa exemption is flying these days to Thailand could you guys please ask the officer at the airport immigration if these 60 days are extendable for another 30 days??? That would be awesome :) Thanks Arsen for info!!!
