I've been a cameraman for many many years now. Boy oh boy did I underestimate how difficult making good clips with a gimbal is. It's a tool that can help you out massively, AS LONG as you know how to use it properly.
Ah, the blogger is like a caring father figure helping us! These 5 basic gimbal techniques for beginners will help me take my journey to the next level.
Ive noticed, the heavier the setup, the less micro jitters you get unlike a super light setup. Though its also alot more exhausting to work with it. Im always finding the balance between this. Im using the RS2. Good video!
Thanks Peter! How about turning on camera sensor stabilization? Some recommend turning it on, and some say it makes things worse. What do you recommend?
All these videos are great but it would be good if an explanation of what mode is used at the same time for best results. Unless it's just me but I'll try all these but unless I know which mode is good for the situation then my footage still turns out like crap. I'm a newbie along with many others.
Hey Peter ! Great Video, loved it ! Quick question your Weebill S what is the side grip you have on it? I don't find which one is compatible with the Weebill S thank you !
Great tips as always Peter! I own a Weebill S but I haven't had the chance to practice so often. Next weekend I'm going to shoot a dance group, any advice on certain gimbal moves?
Hi Peter, Thanks for all these great advices. I just bought a Weebill S and in your opinion is it better to get first the Handheld Gimbal Grip with Cold Shoe or the small rig to attach the monitor ? Thanks !
Peter, how do you do the focus pulling? I usually shot by hand with manual focus because my A7II's autofocus abilities are a little bit shit. Plus I can't have the effect of layering something in front of what I want to focus on. Now I have to touch the focus button on the back of the camera or slide the focus ring. Besides that i need to adjust the variable ND filter all the time, hence touching the camera on the gimbal everytime. How do you overcome this?
Hi Peter!! Thank you a lot for all Your work! I’m loking forward to enroll in the academy! One quick question, when balancing the gimbal with the camera mounted in Vertical, I really can’t get it stable, since the weight is further from the mount plate it’s always tilting... do you have any advice? Or maybe would it be interesting topic for a video how to balance the camera on a Portrait mode for social media ? Thank you so much!

How about walking on an uneven path such as in a State Park?
Fantastic wisdom. Thank you! I have a brand new gimbal and have been practicing and frustrated with the learning curve. This stuff is crucial 🙏
Thanks a lot for videos boss !
I just begin un video but I want to do 20% photo as well. Which budget camera do you recommend ?

Good tips! I just bought RS2 and I just want ask,how I do a orbital (parallax) move and lock the Pan axis?
Great tips as always Peter! I own a Weebill S but I haven't had the chance to practice so often. Next weekend I'm going to shoot a dance group, any advice on certain gimbal moves?
I would use the paralax effect and som low push in and pull out. Pow could also give you some great shots.
@@PeterMakholm thanks for the advice!! Sorry to ask but what's "pow" 😅
@@RDNYSANCHEZ pow is where the gimbal will move freely on all axis.
@@PeterMakholm thanks a lot Peter!!

Might need to upgrade to some equipment to better suit your type of filmmaking. I see this is 9 months so I’m im sure you have buddy!
@@LefontLeeFilms I need to upgrade my camera probably, so nine months same stuff haha
