Yep, way groovier. Joey was a unique drummer, but he still played with a rigidity. Eloy has a touch of Tomas Haake to his style which makes the groove flow much nicer.
Jay: completely removes or replaces double bass sections because they're too difficult. Eloy: adds MORE double bass because it's too boring. These two guys are in completely different leagues.

I would like to say that Jay was a really good drummer for SlipKnoT, talented and also with great creativity, it was a good replacement for Joey (RIP) even though Joey will be forever the best and no one will replace him, I was "happy" that Jay was keeping the same line that Joey started. That being said, I feel kinda sorry for Jay because the beast that is now blasting the drums, is eclipsing his entire carrer in SlipKnoT. Eloy is in a league of his own and in my personal opinion, one of the greatest drummers out there, and certainly, the one with the best technique, speed and heavyness in SlipKnoT.
Eloy is a drumming prodigy, it’s probably not fair to compare them at all. He’s in a different level all together. I’m just excited they have him onboard and can’t wait to hear him on the next studio album
Jay swung a lot. Human feel. Pretty sloppy. Eloy hits harder, he’s a machine. The ghost notes are sick.
i have been saying this - Just like Joey, Eloy got the groove, they both can make a heavy beat funky and dancey, I might even argue Eloy is the funkiest among all three of them. Jay's touch, feel, choice of drums and cymbals honestly make him a perfect rock drummer, I hope for the best for him.
Yep, way groovier. Joey was a unique drummer, but he still played with a rigidity. Eloy has a touch of Tomas Haake to his style which makes the groove flow much nicer.
Damn I thought that was Lars for a second it was jay
It was Lars with a wig and a mask 😂
Jay: completely removes or replaces double bass sections because they're too difficult.
Eloy: adds MORE double bass because it's too boring.
These two guys are in completely different leagues.
Monstro 💪🤘🔥
I knew before that Jay is really sloppy when it comes to playing double bass. He finally got noticed because Eloy is a milliom times better than him. Glad he got replaced. made the rest of the band rush all the songs because of his changing Tempo. Eloy will make Slipknot better again 🤘
I hope that SlipKnoT keeps this line that they seem to be following, Im sure Eloy will bring some really tasty stuff, lets hope for the best 🤟
Jay is a great drummer, no doubt of it, but Eloy and Joey are in another level. There is no comparison. Beside of that, Eloy made me love Slipknot again. I hope they record some new stuff soon.
JAY IS FULL OF TRIGGER, DISSIPATOR, ETC, AND YET THE SOUND DOES NOT COME OUT SYNCHRONIZED, ELOY CASAGRANDE WITHOUT METROMETER, WITHOUT TRIGGER, WITHOUT HEATSINKS, WITHOUT SAPLES, WITHOUT EFFECTS, ONLY HIS DRUMSTICK AND HIS STRENGTH, AND THE DRUMS SOUND LIKE THE GODS
I’d bet he still uses triggers for the sound of it at live shows so it sounds nicer. They can only do one round of the song live so it’s a good tool to have.
@@13_cmi jay? yes , suicidal tendences yes
Hahahaha Jay doesn't use triggers, better report bro.
Main difference is eloy can do all this and that double bass with no triggers lol
I get all the praise for Eloy, but how long can he keep this up? This looks very physical.
Not being a big fan of Slipknot, I'm excited to see what Eloy does to their sound.
Honestly they do so much, I don't even know if they're playing the same song
Eloy eh insano!!!! ninguém supera ele ... nasceu pra tocar bateria!!!
@0:59
Eloy alllllll the way
Joey would be very proud of both of them.
Night and Day difference.
Eloy is the best Slipknot could afford! It's just a drum machine!! And, with all due respect to Joey and Jay, Eloy is several levels higher!
Ok. Now we have a veredict. Next contester for Eloy...
Eloy is really BEST 👍!!!! 🎉
Jay is just sloppy.
Straight outta tempo
Eloy is on a planet of his own. It's incredible. He's as tight as a drum computer and every hit is clear and loud, even his ghostnotes. Just in-sane
Eloy definitely encapsulates Joey's playing in these songs. 🤘🏼
There is a rumor that the obstetrician at the maternity hospital first saw the cardan, and only then Eloy.
Profissional x amador
Jay rushed too much the tempo
No contest. Eloy clearly crushes it. No slight on Jay, but he’s better suited where he is now.
Jay's had the burden of having been compared by two other drummers - one when he joined the band & now after leaving the band. nonetheless he was kinda a new face & he did his time well with Slipknot
Eloy hits the drums like they owe him money.
Eloy e um alien
What a lucky bastard, Slipknot always got a great drummer
Eloy ❤
Jay is way cleaner than fraudloy but I guess that’s why he was kicked 🤷♂️
Yawn. I remember when troll bait used to be believable. Now you kids just try to say anything to elicit a response. Boring.
