Hi Alexa, now that RRR is available on Netflix I see a lot of positive reaction of US audiences on twitter for the movie and discovering the magic of Indian movies. What have been your experience like now that many people are liking RRR.
Hello! I personally haven't really experienced anything new about it besides a quick interaction with a stranger at the re-release showing they had beginning of June where at intermission we stood in line for the bathroom and they said they'd already given it 5 stars in letterboxd! It has been really cool to see so many news outlets, celebrities, and reviewers who normally only discuss Hollywood films talking about an Indian film though. I'm currently kind of waiting now to see if it will lead to more people watching other Indian films, which is what I'm hoping for. So far it's still just been people talking about RRR, which is a great film so I'm all for talking about it more, but I hope the people who liked RRR give other Indian films a chance now too. That's why me & Sri made a podcast episode about recommended films to watch if you enjoyed RRR, we sadly don't have the biggest reach there but hopefully we could help 1 or 2 people find some other Indian films they'll enjoy.
