    Awesome conversation 👍🏽Does this apply to a recording engineer as well?

    • @WhoIsAlexElliott
      @WhoIsAlexElliott  22 дня назад +1

      Yes it can transfer to that also. If you can also learn some prod it will help you when recording musicians and artist which can lead to traditional music producer roles 🫡💯.

    All great advice but the problems where I live (Australia) is that not many Artists want to pay because they are broke, not many if any become popular enough to live off their music and also the times we live in with inflation make these people even more broke so they don't have much time outside of their 9-5.

    • @WhoIsAlexElliott
      @WhoIsAlexElliott  21 день назад

      I understand. That’s why a lot of people move location or even country to better pursue their career. If it’s something someone wants to pursue seriously then it helps to move wherever the action is. There are buzzing places in Australia.
      Also you don’t want to be working with too many people who don’t pay cause it can also mean they don’t take their art seriously. Don’t fall for all the excuses. If they come to your studio in fresh clothes and £100+ trainers talking about they can’t pay. They are lying and being cheap. They either don’t value you or don’t value their art to invest in it. Either way. Work with someone else. 💪.
      Even if they just pay the price of an Uber eats mean £20. They should be in the habit of paying something. It also shows you that they have intention to make their money back also

    Alex, just off-topic, whats the main difference between p42 & p44? I tried p42 but want to switch to p44 because of the clipper.

    • @WhoIsAlexElliott
      @WhoIsAlexElliott  22 дня назад +1

      P42 I feel offers beautiful midrange smoothness as an option and can get also get dirty but the P44 can get absolutely digusting. BOLD AGGRESSIVE & with clipper you can push things further 🙉🔥💯

    I guess the finishing and engendering can only be sold as a service if the person actually has music that sounds well engendered and finished? Can I engerneer yes, am I sonically as good as your skill? Probably not so I should ask for a lower price?

    • @WhoIsAlexElliott
      @WhoIsAlexElliott  22 дня назад +1

      Yes that’s correct so your focus should be on making your stuff sound GREAT! You can invest in building the skill long term, it won’t be overnight. Finishing is like the end game, final Boss level. But it’s made up of several different skills like Mixing, Production, Vocal engineering etc. Build with people around you but be borderline obsessive attaining that quality. Then people will notice and ask you!
      In the meantime tracking vocals is a fantastic way to earn a steady income whiles practicing at the same time! I started off charging £5 per session in my late teens just so I could get some food.

      @@WhoIsAlexElliott In your opinion where is the best places to meet other producers and get circles of like minded people who all do music and all help each other out? Im talking physically because there hasn't been much meeting of anyone doing music and when I do meet them they are basically a let down IE not that dedicated. A guy recently talked the talk and We started collaborating then He didn't brother following up, then I found out its because He is more into football then music.

    • @WhoIsAlexElliott
      @WhoIsAlexElliott  21 день назад +1

      @@HOLLASOUNDSonline is still the best. Or people who you meet at uni or your local area. The main thing is getting your best music out there and then people will reach out to you.
