Because the developers recycled the voice clips. That's why Heihachi sounds like Jack. I think Namco didn't had enough money at the time to add in more voices for half of the roster. Games had small budgets back then.

@@crashpal I wouldn't call it lazy. 3D was difficult to make at that time and Namco only allocated small budget for the game. Tekken 7, now that's lazy because it compromised many elements in the game.

Yes, Kunimitsu was originally designed as a male character. I'm not sure if she's supposed to be transgender, or if her birth gender was simply retconned by the designers and players were supposed to pretend she was female in the first tournament. But, yes, Kunimitsu was originally portrayed as the brother of Yoshimitsu.
@@Rromantiq I hear pressing triangle while playing Galaga means you shoot faster, I've never actually tried it though, I think if you press select that restarts the game of Galaga. Hope this helps
I did it with king and it worked people say can not get the big one they say that you couldn't do it but I did do it I proved them wrong I unlocked heihachi in Tekken not once not twice not three times not four times not five times not six times but seven times I done it
@@Euro.Patriot In any Namco fighting game you have always been able to change the music in game from Arcade to Arranged even in Soul Blade you could do this. Also you can tell this is PS1 because if it was Arcade the character models would have moved if I selected them also the music on some stages are choppy which only happens to discs
Yeah you can play as the others too. Everyone in this game has a counter part which is why all extra characters are clones in this game except for Paul, he's the only one without a clone.

In the ps1 version you can unlock the sub bosses by beating their respective character King unlocks armour king Law unlocks ganryu etc You unlock heihachi by beating arcade mode without using a continue and you unlock devil kazuya by beating the galaga minigame at the loading screen.
Worst game in the series in every way. However I still play it along with all my other Tekken games. I think 4 and 5 are the best in the series. I haven't played 7 I just know the story in it and what happens. Tekken as with most other fandoms has a cancerous fandom with mostly idiots who hate on Jin and hate some of the best games in the series because of bullshit reasons like less characters ( though most of the characters that didn't make it in to 4 sucked. ) They also bitch about anime like characters " like Lucky Chloe or Asuka but seem to misunderstand how anime like the Mishima's are. Basically a group of idiots who are never satisfied with anything and will always find something to bitch about despite the fact that Tekken is the best fighter series.
Namco should go back and remake Tekken 1-3 with a comprehensive and detailed storyline. I say this not because i'm so into the big trend these days of HD remakes of old games or because i'm just nitpicking, but because those games are the foundation for the whole story, yet those games really weren't story-driven. In the case of Tekken 1, it was practically an exploitation game, then they slowly began to build a loose continuity after that. It really wasn't until Tekken 4 that the series began of a sense of continuity. I love Tekken 1-3 conceptually, and i'm sure others would be interested in revisiting the first, second, and third tournaments.
@@Supertron1 Fighting games have minimalistic approach when it comes to story, aside from few ones like SNK or ArcSys games. But it doesn't mean they are terribly written. They are still far better than recent Tekken games when it comes to writing.
The graphics looked great back in 1995 or 1994 since this game was based off of the arcade’s engine. During that time most of us were playing the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo.

It's Devil Kazuya but this is the only way you can fight him in arcade mode with Heihachi. You can unlock him but it's ridiculously hard too.
