Viva La Film yea I do have one. Just search @davidkaneiwa, but I’ve never actually shot with film before, so it’ll probably be a while before I post anything, and when I do it’ll likely be on a different account. Of course I’ll let ya know about it when I do.
The FM2 is an awesome camera. I bought mine new in 1984 and I still use it. I lived in Sydney back in 2016. The best photos of the opera house can be taken from the walkway on the Harbor Bridge.
Another great video. Never shot the FM2. I used to own an original FM. Great camera and the one I had I had a whole new shutter put into it. Kind of regret selling it sometimes. The original FM is a bit of a strange camera. There is literally no model branding on it anywhere. I did not even know what model I owned till I had the shutter replaced. The only indication of what model the camera was is the serial number starts with FM. Nikon's marketing department must have been asleep that day.
Hi Jose Martin Juarez Vargas, thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate your support, it means so much to me! Where in the world are you from? And do you shoot film?
I had a one as bought it 2 months ago, it is amazing when I received my first pictures which are taken by FM2, not only the memorized that both of the "feels" and the results are fantastic amazing.
Viva La Film nothing at this level but I like to focus on landscape photography but also enjoy street photography. I'm still using my old Canon 60D. Do you have an IG?
Very, good video. The 1st Shot, of the Lone Seagull amongst the, pigeons ( on the floor) is.....My Favourite. Although, you did well with your whole roll! I,agree with the advice ref....UV Filter and Lens hood, also even try...A Yellow plain filter, it will do a great job. I, love....The Nikon FM2n have had one for year's, i personally think it's..The Best Manual SLR ever ! You, have another Subscriber!
I have a fm 2 with a 50 mm nikor lens f 1: 1.2 and a Vivitar Zoom lens 70-300 mm. Bought it new in 1980's from New York. Exposed some 12 rolls initially and thereafter lying idle. Double mind as to whether I should start using it again in today's time and age or dispose it???
Have bought an FM2, can't wait for it to arrive! Do you know if the Nikkor lenses that mount on this camera are available new, or do you have to buy a used lens for this? Great photos, btw, really beautiful!
Awesome Video you got some incredible shots with the FM2 and you nailed the sky such a good gradient As always keep up the good work great video and love the bike what do you ride :)
Hey Garth, thank you! ...My FM2 is my absolute favorite camera to shoot. I also love riding my bike but I don't get to do it as much now that I'm a mum, so I take any opportunity to do so and document it :)
Incredible!! How do you metre for the shots that have sun in the background? Those were my favorite shots! Would appreciate if u give some tips. Thanx in advance Keep up the good work!
Vne R hey I’m so sorry for the super late reply, I completely missed your comment and I just saw this. I normally shoot 1 to 2 stop compensation over, depending on the difference between the shadow and the highlight detail
Excellent episode! Really loved the videography including aerial shots, and especially nice photos taken on the FM2. Nice bike btw 😁 Developed at Rewind?
Your every welcome. It's really worthwhile, using even A UV Filter is...A Must! Should you even scratched your UV Filter, it's far cheaper too replace the filter, than buying A, new Lens. Hope this helps.
That is a bit of process. First you need to have taken the images on your roll Of film and have had the roll develop at a lab, some labs will send you the scans by Dropbox or something rather and they can be opened on your phone and share online, other will only give you negatives and prints, that you might need to digitize. I hope this helps, I suck at explaining
Love the FM2, great photos and my favourite is the ferry coming into dock with the Harbour Bridge in the background ... wow!

Viva La Film yes but did you expose for the shadows or the highlights.. I’m thinking of shot 1, Sidney Opera House. Lush image BTW
What do you do to digitalize your photos? Do you print them?
I got my own Pakon 135 scanner and used to print with canon printer
What Lense was on there?
Nice video, treat yourself to an inexpensive UV filter and lens hood, they will protect the front element of the lens and help with contrast.
Hey thanks! I might, I just really love how light and compact it is without it but you are right it would protect that front element
That lens is sharp like hell. Which one is it?
Is the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 AI
Hi, lovely video and well done! Can you tell me what the music is, so easy to relax with!
Thanks 😊, sorry for the late reply

Cool
Thanks 🙏🏽
how do you transfer the photo to your phone?
That is a bit of process.
First you need to have taken the images on your roll
Of film and have had the roll develop at a lab, some labs will send you the scans by Dropbox or something rather and they can be opened on your phone and share online, other will only give you negatives and prints, that you might need to digitize.
I hope this helps, I suck at explaining
