I’ve just bought mine the road legal one from drop the hammer Manchester and I’m 16 stone and have got minimum of 27 miles to 35 miles on a single charge so far
I wish these could attach to car charging outlets. I know you can get an adapter but you still need to use the slow ass original charger no fast charging mode. Maybe one day
I have one myself, the red switch is just a fuse and it's a safety measure, you only turn it off to take the battery out, and back on once the battery is re-installed, the longer you own it too the cords get easier to take apart so it becomes less hassle over time
you can buy switches... the light is such a small power draw it wont make any difference on your total ride time.. idk I was using my surron as a light when my power was out and had i used 1% battery in 12 hours
The range is the killer and an hr to add just over 25% is not ideal but hopefully the battery tech will improve and makes bikes like this a real alternative for the 200 plus mile per day trail rider, that is if they can fit a clutch to it lol, great vid jim but my ebike can easily do 50 miles on a charge and I can ride far more legal trails .
Range should be about 40 miles with a 90-120 minute charge time from empty to full. The bike was new, and I'm told that the battery needs to be 'run in' before it reaches peak capacity.
I’m looking to buy one of these but being in uk makes them illegal to use in any public place, sort of sucks because it basically applies exact same rule As having a petrol motor cross race bike doesn’t it?
guys wearing 30 pounds of gear or more and wonders why its bad range like common dude !!!!! and max load capacity for the surron x is only 220lbs so if u fat u gonna get poor mileage regardless your driving style

Have u been able to make the headlight less bright or get it to dip? Mines is eye level with car drivers and its blinding them 🤦🏻♂️
On average speed?
Gr8 video Paul! I'm just about to start my Surron journey
I got approx 20 miles on my first charge using eco mode only - but there are some steep hills in my area.
Did the range improve over time ,between brand new and a good amount of charge cycles?
How is the sur Ron for a bigger guy? I was thinking it might be too small for me
Na m8 u good
Im atleast 200 pounds "ima bigger guy " and i still have a blast

Well you can get a variable charger and charge at a little higher amprage and charge it faster shaves roughely 1 hour 30 min off the time
@@kingkazuma2568 Ahhh good to know i thought the original charger can go 0 to 90 in around 1hr30? is that not correct?
I think their is a varible that works woth the stock battery
Do you have to switch the the red button off when you charge it are just when you take battery out to charge?

If you want a pedal kit on a Sur-ron you can’t be trusted 🤷🏾♂️
What you mean you can’t be trusted
@@urbancyclist6134 if you put a pedal kit on a E moped, you can not be trusted.
@@Jason-nosaJ I haven’t put one on . That’s the mileage running on its own steam. Well better than my kuberg that only does 14 miles tops.
It makes it legal on the sidewalk and everywere
@@curtbrick2995 only in America.
Do you know if you can dip the headlight? Mines always seems to be in high full beam

Get a rail tidy on that asap bro looks daft with that reg and light on back wheel I bought a tail tidy for mine before I even got it 🤌
nice bike is this one road legal in uk please ,had full car license since 1990 do you need take bike test? thanks
need ur CBT mate
Where did u buy this from I can’t find one in the uk any where
It was a demonstrator from surron.co.uk
Yo, Finnegan, did you try English Electric Motorco? Or Left Field Bikes? I think the 1st has them in stock and the 2nd is due a delivery in August.
What brand/make is that headlight?
Sur-Ron.
It’s the road legal version of the Sur Ron
Wait so what’s the range ? Is it 27 miles ?
your suspension looks like it isnt fully setup properly

what do you mean by hr and 25% ?
You for sure want the tail tidy

As having a petrol motor cross race bike doesn’t it?
The bike in the video is road legal.
Where can I get those headlights
They were factory fitted, so I assume direct from SUR-RON.
Can these be delivered to the us?
Yes.
Is this ep or sport mode
Sport.
@@WiltshireByways thanks for the reply🤟🏼

So if I'm only like 135 lbs I should see faster speeds and longer ranges?
Thinking of getting one.
I saw on lightly used only $4,000.
How heavy is the battery
16kg.
Nowhere near worthwhile at the present time due to poor battery life.
Cool wip though 🤘
Exactly. I mean, he’s walking the damn thing home. No thanks. I’m from Chicago and all I need is the battery to die in a bad part of town.
You can sell the stock battery for around 1500 and buy a 60v 70AH for 2100. It Will double the range to 100miles+ at 20MPH
How long does it take to reach 100% battery charge. To do just 39km on 80% doesn’t make this a viable alternative
It should do 40 miles (64km) on a charge, but as the bike was new the battery hadn't been run in yet. Empty to full is about two hours.
WiltshireByways will Paul continue to use the Sur Ron and give an update on the charging times and if the the range of the battery improves
@@gnarlybadger690 No - he only had it from the importer for a couple of days.
I think your battery is not very good mate I can go a lot further than that I weigh 11 stone and ride up and down dale
One's riding style matters the most
What was the error ?
Kick stand sensor
Put on all that gear just to ride on the road.
We rode on dirt earlier in the day.
72volt with 100ah will last longer
You have to change the whole setup of the bike to fit that kind of battery.
🤨🤨🤨🤨
Pedal kit and EP MODE 👍🏻
The pedal kit doesn’t actually move the bike
@@ProMountainBiker there are kits that move the bike!
