It's worth mentioning that the 'Work 1' outlet is for humidification and 'Work 2' is for dehumidification. The advice on sealing up the sensor was super helpful, thank you buddy!
ArmchairWarrior go eat a deadly mushroom, asshole.
Great video. I own a few of these. I've had a ton of problems with this company saying that these are not accurate at high humidity and just trying to blow of my purchase. I ran two of these hanging in my fruiting chamber within an inch of each other and I was averaging a 10%+ difference in readings. They care more about an order number than the fact the probe isn't fully insulated or is accurate. Typical (it's your fault, not ours) business response trying to not take responsibility when the product is bad. I would honestly never buy a single thing more from a company that tries to shift blame on an incorrectly made product. Even though it says it's rated to 99% humidity good luck getting them to take responsibility for not working in high humidity environments. When this one burns out I'll just go back to making my own humidity controllers that work correctly instead of buying more from these guys to save a bit of time.
Do you have more info on how you build your own? That sounds cool!
This controller works great. I have. My tent set up with the dehumidify work2 on a turbo exhaust fan. If the humidity goes over just 1-2 it will kick on and gets in under control in under a min. Otherwise ur just waiting for water to condensate
Dude the best video on this controllers ever. I truly appreciate it this. I hate when people make videos reviewing them or explaining it and half ass it lol
Thanks again
Did alot of things like that. Some times you wanna quit and hang it up. But you just get through it.
Dielectric grease (disc brake silicone grease) is great to preserve the contacts of the connectors.
Does this module shut the humidifier off when it gets to its set humidity?
Brilliant humidity calibration hack.
I don't want the alarms to start at all. Can you turn them all off, but the switch will still work?
That's what we have hey Eric we have the same model ihc200 inkbird. We don't have the exposed probe to put RTV over. Must be the newer models are different I'm guessing?
same thing with me. i think they updated the sensor. looks like our version is better protected, but i don't know how to replace it if it stops working
@@joeholmes4711 You actually have to open the sensor cover to access the probe and add RTV to seal.
@@mmmoz1How do you get it open? I’ve been trying and the thing won’t budge.
Thank you sir… I had no idea how to use it.. Their instructions were not the best
hose down the sensor with "Corrosion-X" it will extend the life dramatically. This product is designed to water-resist electronics. :)
Thanks for that calibration idea!
I missed that part in the settings and was wondering already why it works so smoothly but I can't get more than around 93% and already suspected a faulty sensor.
Just trying that method.
The sensor has little to no accuracy above 80%, it is not the correct sensor for high humidity unfortunately.
What kind of shoots are those?
How does one switch between work 1 and work 2? The light below the screen is always lite for work 2 no matter what I do
I do not know why a humodifier cannot get wet or els it malfunctions?
I wonder if i fried mine when having to much humidity in tent or something,
alarm goes off pretty quick and I dont know what to set it to not.
I can't connect the humidifer to the inkbird, no green lights are showing. Initially the 2nd light was on but isnt that specifically for a dehumidifier? Please help
Thank you! This video helped a lot 🍄♥️
Hey Eric, I've watched this video more than once. My question is what are the best settings for growing Lions Mane? Also curious about why my ink birds are showing different indoor humidity? Ones for CO2 the other for humidity. Thx
#MushroomFantasies
How do I change mine back to work 1 from work 2
My work 2 is not turning on my dehumidfier anymore wonder if it malfunctioned the light cones on but doesnt turn anything on. On work 2 anymore
Super helpful thanks
what type of sensor do you use if the original breaks down? saying it's inexpensive, maybe you can write a link to aliexpress or ebay? the original costs 15-20 Eur.
Thanx for sharing..wish i would have purchased the one with Wi-Fi..
Thank you for great information
Thanks big help
You mentioned using "rtv" to seal up the probe. What does rtv stand for and where do I find it?
@Alex M Thanks for the info!
Thanks, great video!
Is it possible to disable the alarm?
You can just set them really high for high and low for low and it should never go off.
This is a perfect instructional video. I mistakenly put the HD on 20!!!
Thanks! Yea 20 would be one heck of a swing.
I was sitting there convinced I had purchased a defective product. It works as it should now. Thanks for tip re sensor. I moved it upwards so as not to get it wet.
Can a person use is to control a dehumidifier in a grow room
Yep
I did not calibrate out of the box but I have 2 hygrometers that read about 12% higher than this so I moved it up 10 because that’s the max I could do, is that good or is it calibrated out of the box and my 2 hygrometers are wrong?
Is there a way stop the alarm from functioning? I don’t want it going off at all. Please let me know, thanks
Evan Posteraro set it super high or super low
couldn't you just set the alarm value to something that is unlikely to ever be experienced?
Some people seem to have success with this unit. But for my needs the humidity i need is too high and it beeps all the time and the sensor will go bad like he said and it will have an error mode where it stops working. As you can see this dude has all the problems most people have. I sent mine back. Not good for gourmet mushroom cultivation. Dude literally shows you how shotty this product is. Dont do it, find something else or have your humidity on a timer once you have it dialed in. He is doing this video as an Amazon affiliate... that is where I got mine. I don't mean to ruin dudes livelihood but I came here to solve my problem only to see someone else struggling. If y'all can make it work GREAT 👍. BUT not my experience.
Did you find a better solution? I'm a buy/build once and make it work kinda guy so any help would be greatly appreciated
Eric, I am trying to find the video where you mentioned you wish you had setup 2 fruiting chambers instead of one. Do you remember saying that? I am trying to find it because I need to know why :)
to experiment? To have two different micro climates that are specific to each strain of mushroom? To avoid contamination? Easier to clean?
Do uninstalled fogger also...,
Use compressed canned air to clean out your sensor get it up as close as you can just spray the hell out of it
Good video. Thanks
Could you give me a link for the probe cover thing you said you need to stop in corroding can’t seem to find it
any type of silicon sealant will do such as clear window sealer, he was specifically talking about high temp automotive sealant RTV Silicone
how to use with dehumidification?
WHAT do you seal the sensor with? "R2D"?
Can you set day or night humidity ????
no there is no light sensor.
Great video man - Just curious tho were you able to calibrate the other unit you briefly showed in your video? why did you stop using it?
ive got one heading my way to control both temp and RH but curious if it even has to capability to be calibrated..... anyone know??
Hey Cyberspoon did that unit have RH Calibration in the end and how did the unit perform for you? Cheers.
@@027fuckoff hey yeah it's been.... ok. I don't think the RH sensor is very accurate tho. But you can offset the reading for both temp and RH. It takes a bit of trial and error to get it dialed in for your set up/specific species etc...
You can’t calibrate a hygrometer that way. You need to make a slurry out of salt water and seal (as best you can) the sensor in a bag with it for 8-12 hours. It should read 75% humidity.
The problem I’m having with mine is that it is just reading error and beeping and it won’t let me adjust anything. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome! Mushroom lives at stake
Good tutorial man.. But, I cannot change from Celsius to Fahrenheit.. lol I reckon I missed it ????Would somebody please guide (re-guide me) ?
tread1367 its the program step that says C or F ;)
TY SO much brother...
The sensor lasts a few months?
HI! great video! Instructions were not very helpful. what did you use to seal the probe? how to apply?
Wait, the humidity controllers probe piece will crap out if it gets condensation on it? Say it aint so.
You would be banned from reddit for saying "put it in rice".
lol what? It works?
@@MyersMushroomsFarms That's what I said, but if you go to any "computer tech" forums and mention something like: "Hey, just put your wet phone in rice", they will ban you because its supposedly proven it doesn't work.
But then they try and sell you this (or have you pay to use their) electronic humidity control box.
I've never had any problems with rice.
Followed your instructions all it did was fuck up my humidifier and leave it stuck on alarm high.
You're alone on this one m8
My thought: If you make a video of how to program "anything" you should explain also the part that you don't use..."don't worry about" ...then why is it there? (PP)
