  • Whats the difference between a 22khz switch and a DiSEqC switch? | Free Satellite TV
I explain the difference between a 22khz switch and a DiSEqC (Digital Satellite Equipment Control switch), and how they are used to send multiple satellite signals to your FTA receiver through one coaxial cable.

Just trying to get some feed back on how to isolate dishes? the only way i have found is to use a A B switch, witch means two complete coax runs into the house so if one has 4 dishes then 4 complete dish runs, i cant come up with any other way , witch means you have to use a lot of coax these switches i cant get them to do that.

The switches have to be programmed in the receiver menu. I showed the setup in the video. An A to B switch probably doesn’t have the proper bandwidth for channels to pass through it.

For 4 dishes I’d use a DiSEqC switch. Set each dish up in the menu as I show, 1/4, 2/4, etc.

Hi it appear that the super jack diseqc h-h dark motor doesn’t like these switches almost fried the coax , so to isolate every dish i am going to toggle them with ab switches and deal with all that coax, appreciate your replies have a good one.

Do you have a preference on brands of diseqc switches

Not particularly. I did get some made by Amiko, they seem well made. But the other ones I have are just inexpensive ones from eBay. They seem to work ok.

I have a problem on my satellite disk signal, during day time when the sun I hot I received my signals and strength 100%functioning and when the sun set going down to night time it looses signal and strength. What the problem?is it the lnb? Oh what? please help.👍👍👍🖐️🙏🙏🙏

If the signal works during the day, then I’d say that your dish is probably aimed correctly. Are you getting condensation on the dish in the morning? Cool temperatures at night could cause water droplets to form on the dish surface. This can absorb the signal instead of it reflecting back to the LNB. Also, weather disturbances anywhere else in the path of the satellite beam can also affect the signal at your dish.
