- A Tour of My Satellite TV System. Another way to receive TV, sort of like receiving channels with a TV antenna, except the antenna is a satellite dish, and the signals come from space!

Very Cool 😎...Dishes...A real fantastic hobby 😎
Cool system Northcoaster Hobby! It's similar to mine except the C Band dishes.
Thanks for the information. May God Bless You and yours.
thanks for all the videos ...I m now watching my 10 ft mesh c band and a 39" k u band regularly with some great tips ...thanks .👍
That’s great to hear! Thanks for watching my videos!👍
For the Ku Band motorized dish, I would recommend a 100 cm dish since you use a USALS H-H Motor, it will get all Ku Band channels. For example the dish at 0:42 can be installed on the USALS H-H motor, and the smaller once goes up.
A good idea, I've been thinking about a larger motorized dish.
@@NorthcoasterHobby I use a 100 cm mesh dish and a USALS H-H motor DM3800 both from AMIKO, and the LNB is an AMIKO ECO L-408 4 outputs, it does an excellent job especially on weak satellites and transponders. And I installed the satellite dish in May 2018, only the LNB I replaced in May this year. The old LNB is from RT Inverto, and did a good job unfortunately it got short circuited from a faulty receiver.
@@Nicholas_Chris Good thing you changed it.
Northcoaster-How’s everything going?!what a perfetc masterpiece. see you later- 😌
Things are good, thanks for watching!
Hi there, great content, is there a video about a multi-switch setup? I'm very interested in that: 1 LNB and multiple independent receivers (not bound by polarization). Thanks.
I’ll be working on that soon.
At 4:52 there is an antenna near the C Band dish, is that what you mostly use for all TVs? or it's connected to only one TV and for other TV sets you use other antennas?
I'm testing that one out right now!
@@NorthcoasterHobby Will you upload a video on how it performs, in the next days?
@@Nicholas_Chris I'll do my best!
I wish tvs had electronic duplex switching systems in them so I could use 8 outside tv antennas, use ports for each channel scanned in for each market im pointed at.
Hi. Great Video! I noticed that for your own motorized dish you do not use USALS and instead use DiSeqC 1.2. Why is that? Have you create a video on how to use DiSeqC1.2? I would be interested in learning how you find satellites using DiSeqC 1.2.
With DiSEqC 1.2 you can dial in a satellite even if the dish setup is not perfect. USALS requires an almost perfect setup and alignment to be in sync with the entire arc. I am able to pick up some satellites with USALS, and some with DiSEqC 1.2 on this dish, go figure!😄
I do plan a video on this at some point.
Thanks for watching!
What you think of the old timer Chaparral Corrotor dual feed Ku / C band compared to the newest fixed positions lnb's ?
Should work just as well. Except for the fact a polarity control is required on them.
@@NorthcoasterHobby thanks for your reply, what lnb`s with 5g filter you recommend? for Ku and C band
@@franciscocastellanos9157 5G is a concern for C Band, but not with KU Band.

Are the BYU channels on KU on 116.8 west or Cband
KU Band
I know in one of your previous videos, you had an old Pelco heavy duty outdoor P/T mount. Any chance that one or another one might be for sale? I just picked up a 1M uplink / downlink Ku band unit and I would like to motorize it and play around with FTA satellite. I already have the receivers. Thanks
I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to.
Once my home is built would like to set up this kind of thing. Cable here in fl is outrageous.
Cable TV has become way too expensive everywhere it seems.
Have you or any of your watchers tried ( I'm interested in trying ) a double head c band lnb holder for 2sateiltes at once ....such as 101&103? or can you do a video on this ?
I haven’t tried this, but I’ve thought about it.
Do you have backhails from NFL games
Sometimes.
What happened to Nagra, is it still around?
yes
Does the 5G signal affect the C band dish signal there?
We don’t have 5G yet. But I have an LNB with a 5G filter. However in some areas with 5G some C Band users have experienced interference.
WHERE DID YOU GET THE DISH MOTOR?
I got it locally for free.
@@NorthcoasterHobby IS IT A VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL DISH MOTOR AND WHAT IS THE NAME BRAND OR TYPE YOU WOULD ORDER AND WOULD YOU RECOMMEND A PLACE TO ORDER ONE FROM
Can it work FTA in Kenya ?
There is FTA satellite all over the world:

Hi I said I wasn’t going to do another review on the azure shine d-100d. Well I got really got sick of having to constantly realign four separate inb ‘s so I got a hh motor, you have to be careful to get the right size mounting tube 42 mm is the most common dish mount size there also a 50 mm , direct tv-hues net the dish mount’s are larger, you have to get the right size most suppliers will not accept a return if you don’t get it right. Back to review No problem mounting to hh motor the problem that I had was relying on the elevation and declination angle table that comes with the motor, not every manufactured dish is the same they can be different so I trash caned declination angle table from motor manufacture I had to go at least 15 degrees below the motor’s manufactures recommend setting. What I did was once I started picking up tip numbers I would lower the dish elevation them scan. On this dish I am getting amc 21 on the 36 inch dish that I have had for 4 or 5 years can not lock amc 21 , the saying bigger is better on dishes is right, it sounds a bit confusing but it’s not. Hopefully someone may find this declination issue helpful I learned this the hard way. Again all and all this is a good dish.
I appreciate the update. You’re right about the declination angle. It’s different for every motor manufacturer.
Can you receive the NHL?
Only the occasional feed.
@@NorthcoasterHobby the finals have been on ABC 7.1 in NY, but it is very difficult to receive (only 15 miles), so I’ve been watching on the espn+ app. I thought there would be a lot of Hockey in your area!
I had a C Band Dish back in the 1980s and 1990s....I use to get all the networks hbo and sports feeds.... what can U still see on a dish ...

Where is the cable channels like AMC or Live sports
For the most part that stuff is encrypted, but once in a while, cable channels come into the clear for a little bit.
Hi Today I am running an idea of mounting a 39 inch or smaller ku band dish to a tv antenna mast , using the base or foot and offset dish mast. I am going to try antenna cross over bracket it should give enough area to mount a flat plate to bolt to cross over bracket, being careful to get it to 90 degrees horizontal as close as you can , elevation you can do with dish , getting it 90 degrees all the way around is the best way. Ware the rest of the dishes are set up trees are blocking the Atlantic satellite’s I only get one satellite below sea 2 know. Got to get 90 feet southwest to get good shot at Atlantic’ s . Will update if it works. Notice this is for a mount close to the ground not for mounting dish 30 feet off ground.
Interesting RUclips.
