Hi Siân!! Amazing tutorial, you always give so much information & it’s so so helpful.. Deeply appreciate everything you do.. With all the alterations, the dress fits you so phenomenally…. 💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
It’s so inspiring to see how you change patterns to get them where you love them. It gave you a beautiful dress! Love the fit of the bodice, the roomyness of the sleeves and the swush (no idea how to spell that) of the skirt! 💕💕😽💕
Informative & helpful! I always learn so much from you. Thank you for all the time and hard work you put into the videos! You are Greatly Appreciated 💙
Thanks again for another thorough tutorial! I’ve seen instructions for eliminating back shoulder darts through the creation of a shaped yoke. (Essentially it’s dart manipulation so that the midline of the dart is moved to the armscye and aligns with the yoke line.) Maybe that would be handy for future versions of this dress, so you don’t have to worry about nesting the darts in the burritoed yoke?
Lovely! I did my first continuous lap last week on a blouse, the Burda pattern I was using was very vague in the direction..... needless to say 5 tries later I managed to get the little bugger to work. You did an excellent job explaining! Wish I had seen this first lol
Gorgeous dress! 😍 Thanks for the detailed explanations of the techniques you have used in making it. I am unlikely to make a shirt dress any time soon, but some of the techniques are applicable to another project I have in mind, so seeing them done has been very helpful. How many hours did this take you altogether, do you know? I am in awe of the fact that you took an already complex pattern and added yet more complexity with the back yoke etc. There's dedication for you! 😯
I filmed over 3 days, it always takes longer to film a sew-along plus a bunch of hand sewing in this project. There’s a whole series of mini tutorials for all the different techniques of you wanted a particular one 😊
New potential seamstress here. I will be teaching my daughters.
Thank you for sharing! I learned some valuable techniques today!
stunning, such a well done tutorial, you are so helpful! Blessings!
Love it. Never made a dress before, currently at pillowcase level of sewing so might be a tad ambitious for me 😆
I think really y take a pattern follow instructions yet you turn that work to a couture level garment fab😍
I can see were I'm going wrong with my cuffs opening now such a tiny detail but not clear from diagrams and written instructions so thank you 💝 xxx
Hi! Just felt I had to tell you how really excellent your pattern re-styling demonstration was. Really excellent young lady!
