Im not jealous im actually really happy for those kids! Imagine having a carbon Hardtail when you were a kid! That’s so cool! Props to you, Porter! Really cool how much you support them!
Those boys are going to be really good at MTB!!
It's crazy, I wish I had these bikes when I was a kid, I didn't even start riding MTB till I was 12!
@@PorterMTB i only started a year ago, now I think: why didn’t I do it earlier???
@@user51204 dude same
That’d be awesome
This is kinda off topic but i just had the BEST orange ive ever eaten
Dude I’m so happy for u!!!!
Nice
Ok
Let me get one
That’s very epic
I like how he's teaching them right. He could obviously get his kids a full squish right away but a hardtail will teach them line choice and proper form.
You get it! Hardtails definitely make a better rider. I like to have them earn their bikes too with chores and stuff, so they really appreciate what they have!
Ok, I agree about the proper form, but the line choice thing I disagree with. I started on a really crappy specialized fuse 27.5 plus hardtail with a horrible SR Suntour spring fork that barely even worked and the most fun I could have on that thing was just barreling through the nastiest lines I could find. Now I have a Commencal meta am 27.5 and I do the exact same thing. It's just so fun. All in all, I think everyone should start on a hardtail just so that they can learn how to control the bike and how it should feel, but I feel like it really doesn't teach line choice that well.
Awesome bikes my friend. I totally agree on the Magura brakes, the best hydraulic brakes by far and MT8’s and MT7’s, even better. I need to do a family bike check someday.
Thanks! I'd love to see your family bike check as well!
@@PorterMTB he may have the most styling fleet of classic MTB's out there
@Daniel Ayaan uhhhhhh
Hey your the cheap dirt jump dude
I have never clicked a video so fast and loved it so much.
Awesome!!
@Malik’s life of craziness bet
This video has been most useful to me by helping me choose new parts for my first ever full bike build! Magura dropper and brakes are making an appearance, and quite possibly the fox 36!
That's awesome, happy to help!
Owen in the thumbnail is so funny 😂
Haha yeah he's hilarious
The effort you put into these videos is insane! It’s crazy that theirs still people like you!
Finallyyy, thanks so much porter. I have been waiting for this video for so long. Your kids are so talented and gifted. I like to see that none of you take it for granted, but yall deserve it. Cant wait for the next videos
Glad to make your day! We are so grateful for everything we have, we are very fortunate!
Never have I clicked so fast in my life

Hey Eric. It's awesome to see a family who can enjoy the same hobby. You look like a great dad, many people in life can never experience that. Peace and love from Thailand!
Hope you guys had a great trip!! Can’t wait to see the videos! Sad I missed you guys here on the east coast!!
It was awesome, I hope to make it back out next year!
Yes! A video, I have been waiting all week, thanks dude!
More to come!
It’s so cool seeing you teach these guys!! I wish I started jumping that early 🤘🏼
Me too!
What great relationship between a father and son...
He's pretty fun to hang out with!
I love that you're bringing your boys up on hardtails- that's how you learn control.
Never thought about grip diameter, super Dad...
Call me Welch's cause I'm so jelly.
I agree, they will be better riders because of it, and also appreciate full suspension more. Plus it keeps their bikes lighter for now which is important for kids. Yeah the 2.8 tires help a lot with traction and control as well.
Drive safe. Looking forward to watching you guys shred Berm Peak 🤘.
Looking forward to the next video. Safe travels!
Cool bike check vid! Your kids are great. Looking forward to the cross country trip!
Thanks! They are pretty fun to hang out with!
The most hidden and underappreciated channel on youtube. One of the best mtb youtubers
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
@@PorterMTB No problem

Love the root beer color on the Fox 38s the turquoise one is also sick
Me too, I've got the Pistachio color 38 on my Mission, looks so good!
Best mix of bikes and family, great channel
Going to go do something different, but kind of the same at Berm Peak? 🤘
haha exactly!
I am older than both boys and I am stuck with rim brakes, a heavy frame, and a 3x9 drive train, those kids are lucky.
I'm glad you have a bike though! I grew up without nice bikes, and still had fun riding!
@@PorterMTB Yeah, I still make the best of it, I am from Utah and where I live does not have mountains.
I've been waiting for this!!!! Nice Job Eric!
Awesome! Thank you!
Yo! What's everyone riding?? I got a Cube Stereo 140. Also, love ya work mate!!
Sweet, never heard of it lol. I'm riding a Merida One Sixty 400.

Can’t wait to see you guys hang out with Seth. Also Owen and Milo keep that confidence it would be awesome if you hit the airbag.🤘🤙
Excited for your Bentonville video. It was great to meet you and the kids near The Masterpiece!
Great to meet you as well, editing the video now!
Owen: not too (two) much suspension, no pun intended
Great video and super sick bikes! You are one of my favorite RUclipsrs and more people definitely need to check out your channel!

Thats so epic!! U must be so excited!! I'm so happy for u and ur kids!!!
So excited to see you and Seth together again!
Yay , I requested this months back and finally it’s here
You should give Owen a dropper post. It would help him out a ton. Keep shredding
I think that’s the fastest I’ve gone from another app to yourube
lol same
Holy nice bikes
Man you are my favorite RUclipsr
That's awesome, thank you!
I was waiting for a video like this, awesome video!!!
hey man.... love ur family vibe...!!! keep up the great work...
Thank you! Will do!
Excellent video, though I have one suggestion. In the video description, would be great if you listed how much each upgrade cost approximately, to give the less knowledgeable to mountain biking an idea of how reachable a goal it would be to upgrade their own bikes with similar products.
That would be a good idea, could take a while though!!
Eric, nice bike checks and nice changes/upgrades to all the bikes, bet the boys bike's get some jealous looks from other kids you meet on the trail. Can't wait to see all the vids from the trip and what you got up to at Berm Peak. Hearing you say that you're running Milo's 2.8" tyres at around 15 PSI though, that made me cringe, as that's about what I run my 2.8"s at and I'm 6'2" about 180-185lbs geared to ride, definitely think you can drop those pressures under 15 PSi, probably closer to 10-12 PSI for his weight.
Thanks! On the pressure, it definitely depends on what casing the tire has. Milo’s are pretty light and thin, so 15 works pretty good, and even at that he’s still pinch flatted the tire a couple times when going fast! If I went to a thicker casing it would be heavier for him for handling and for climbing, so this is the best balance I could find.
Yup, was just thinking I should probably caveat that by saying depending on what tyres, casing and rim width you run. Also, the pressure gauge you use could read different than mine and I might be running higher or you lower than we think, important thing is we use the same one every time and have consistent readings - FYI I use a Topeak Smartgauge.
My experience is with Maxxis Rekon 650Bx2.8" 3C EXO, which is a 120TPI casing and the Schwalbe Nobby Nic 650Bx2.8" Speedgrip, EXO TLR casing and I run 35mm IW or wider rims. I'vce had some ring dings/hits, but only ever 1 caused a flat and that was on a 29x3" CST Proto tyre, all my other Maxxis tyres have taken the hits like champs and they are a fairly decent weight. These are run on steel rigid or alu HTs. BTW, couldn't find any 2.8" version of that tyre, only saw 2.6" or are those early release version? ;-)
Damn, Owen’s drivetrain is cooler than mine, I have a 1x12 sx eagle. You guys are awesome btw
Thanks!
I have a 2016 dB mission 2 and it is the juiciest mtb I have ever ridden
That's awesome!
Hi I’m 14 and I love your channel just subscribed hope you reach 1 mil also do you think you and the kids could do a how to Video on clearing a jump?
I have a catch that I put 29er wheels on, love it.
Love Owen’s fade to black shirt
Im gonna do my best during highschool to provide my future children an actual mountain bike.
Awww that's such a motivation, thank you man, I'm in secondary school too, and you just motivated me to study hard now..😭🙏 thank you so much for such a heart warming comment...

This guy needs more subs than Seth. Great Video!
Love both of their channels, definitely deserves just as many subscribers 🙏
I wouldn't say he needs more than Seth but he definitely deserve more that 1,000,000
Haha thanks! No one works harder than Seth, but I'm definitely stoked to see the channel grow!
YES, I’ve been waiting to see the kids at berm peak
It's coming!
Yes, wanted this for so long
can't wait for Bentonville
His kids have better bikes than the ONE bike I have lol
Anyway, great video!
i really like full suspension bikes but wow that's a nice hardtail
Milo’s style is pretty sick!
I'll let him know!
Bentonville is amazing , if you have time though there’s some really nice trail in Rogers and Fayetteville also
I have been waiting for this!!!!
Owen n Milo are gonna make a tremendous buddy cop youtube channel when they're older, Milo trying to be serious and review products while Owen sets up pranks on camera.
Hahahaha this is awesome. I'd definitely watch that
I saw you in Bentonville AR a couple weeks ago. You were at the peddlers pub
Yeah!! That was some good pizza, I can't wait to get back to Bentonville next year!
Wouldn’t it be cool if they made fox forks in straight Steerers, Owen would be let’s say, a whole new type of crazy
Airbag! Yup... Airbag..... so awesome!
love your videos, really sick bikes goodluck at berm peak
Love Owens shirt!🤘
Me amd Owen are soooo much alike when it comes to biking
You must be awesome!
You have nice bikes😁
Thank you, we are very fortunate!
Can’t wait to see you guys at Seths place. Should make for a good video
At :40 that looks a lot like puke hill. Your son's a boss for taking that on. I only make it up like 60% of the time.
My brakes don’t work so I have to stick to scootering for a while but I’m having lots of fun
yoyoyoyooy sick you got some really nice bikes that's pretty sick Love ur channel!
Owen looked so proud when he got the poop on his tire😂
What size is Milo’s frame? Small? Still seems a little long for an 11 or 12 year old. My son is 11 loves your videos and after seeing this one wants Milo’s bike!
It's a size Small, definitely a little on the long side, but it works. He's a little over 5' tall. He can handle it well and has room to grow.
"okey dokey" is very common to say in sweden i i love it
Congrats on 100k subs
My 6 year old would go nuts for that 24 sync'r.
you know you've tought him right when hes wearing a metallica shirt love the vids btw
I ride a Schwinn boundry and jump it all the time wish I had a good bike like that
Heck yah dude I just got a hardtail there the best!!
you should eventually make a tutorial video and put in the discription is the link to the brakes
