Another perk about renting trucks is that they are often cheaper than an SUV since they aren't as popular. As long as you don't need to haul around more than four people, it's the best bang/buck!
Another good parking tip is to drop everyone but the driver with the bikes and luggage at the terminal and then go park - offsite or long-term doesn't matter as much. When you return, go get the vehicle while the rest of the party is waiting on the luggage. It may take a few minutes longer, but it's less hassle than trying to put all that luggage into the parking shuttle.
That's nice to know about delta. Southwest charges $75 each way if your bag is over 62in in total dimensions which is pretty much impossible unless its a kids bike. If I ever fly with my bike I will be sure to look at Delta.
It’s usually $100 or more to rent a nice bike, so the bike bag pays for itself pretty quick, plus you have your own bike! On the other hand it’s a great way to demo a new bike if you’re in the market, and if it’s a 1-2 day trip it’s probably easier to rent!
I read that commercial flight cargos are pressurised. The max your tires/fork/shock/seat post will change by is 3-4psi - not worth deflating definitely not worth taking your tubes out... 👍🏽
Hard to say in a comment, lots of factors including your tire casing, what terrain you're riding, how much you weigh, riding style, etc. I'm usually in the mid to upper 20's for PSI with Kenda trail casing and orange seal sealant, I weigh about 190.
I hope I don't overstep here Eric, but I advise people NOT to put their tools in their carry-on (unless they're less than 7 inches long). I made the mistake of forgetting to put a few of my tools that were 7.25 inches long back in my check-in bag for a return trip and put them in my carry-on bag instead. They confiscated them at security and I was out $150 worth of tools. Moral of the story: Short tools for carry-on or put them in the check-in bag.
owen is awesome I hope he doesn't cringe when he's older and he watches these videos i wish i were like him lol

That’s so cool to hear, thanks!!
Good stuff. Was fun to watch.
Love the golf bag idea!

Looking forward to the Owen reaction video when you show him the “Can’t Touch This” video for the origin of Hammer time 2:07
Good to see he is a delta flyer best airline for sure
Haha nice I just got new grips too but I only hade them for 2 months.
Nice to see you guys back uploading videos
i love all of your viedeos they are so awesome you are the reason why i started mtb
Nice video, Great Family and you are doing great job as parent
This is amazing timing as I'm looking to fly my bike to Whistler this summer as opposed to rent out there this time around! Thanks for the tips!
Dang, with a whole family of bikes, that's quite a job! Nicely done.
Great video. Competitive cyclist is awesome. They have everything and they will answer all your questions.
I hope it’s not questions related to terrorising small children and eating them.
Sometimes it is about terrorizing adults. 😂
That was great Eric, hope y’all had a great time.
Hey could I ask you a question???
Traveling with bikes can be hard but with Eric Porter, it seems and must be pretty easy!
100th!!! Nice video dude!!! :D
Great video with a lot of detailed info! Thanks! I'm about to buy a bike bag so I can fly to SC and *hopefully* BC later this year.
Did you have to pay the oversized fee and overweight fee on delta with the Thule round trip pro Xt bag?
I would love to know this too. No idea how I get my 30lbs+ bike into a bag and stay under 50lbs...
Imagine not having a diamondback. I have one and they are so strong and deffo recommend for others looking for a new bike!!
Would you consider coming to Alaska and making a video on Palmer AK the bike park has some trails and a jump line
Thule and POC, quality from Sweden 💪🏻💪🏻🇸🇪😃
Haha I love Owen! Great video 🤟🤙👍
Second like, clicked immediately. Great video, Owen always cracks me up😂😂😂
For some reason your videos weren’t showing in my sub box, but I’m glade they are now.
*glad. It's glad not Glade, Glade is a brand of air freshener
Great video man
Good stuff! 👍🏽
Never flown with my bike, but it looks like it has mellowed out than in the past. It was easier to always find a legit place to rent
How do you carry the full face helmets is it in your bike bag
Traveling with bikes vs renting it out. When do you know? I tend to rent bikes (full sus like mine) less hassle. But of course it costs more I think

You have to deflate and take out the tubes? Spend half your holiday putting it all back together then taking it apart again
No way, I don’t deflate the tires! With the golf bag you need to sometimes cause it’s so small
I read that commercial flight cargos are pressurised. The max your tires/fork/shock/seat post will change by is 3-4psi - not worth deflating definitely not worth taking your tubes out... 👍🏽
Make sure you check all your tools bc things that are considered weapons(like screwdrivers) in carry-ons can be pulled by TSA
Good point!
Good point!
Love ur vids
Nice video concept
Are your magura brakes the 45th anniversary ones with those orange caliper rings? And if not where did you find those rings
These aren’t the anniversary edition, but Magura does sell those rings in 12 different colors I think!
It helped a lot
Hey 1 question, what do you recommend with the tire pressure and tire sealant?
Hard to say in a comment, lots of factors including your tire casing, what terrain you're riding, how much you weigh, riding style, etc. I'm usually in the mid to upper 20's for PSI with Kenda trail casing and orange seal sealant, I weigh about 190.
Are you going to upload a vidio about riding berm peak
Definitely! That’s the next video on the channel!

That’s so awesome!
Great video!
Hey Eric nice video
do the airports count a cardboard box as a bag? just wondering i don’t have the budget for a $400 bike bag lol
Actually I’m not sure, probably depends on the airline, there must be some sort of size restrictions.

Would a 26'' DR bike work?
I meant XE bike
Next up: How to convince your parents to allow you to travel with your bike 😂😂
Story of my life! 🤣
Nice 🤘❤
Google algorithms must have clued into my families trip in 3 months and my need to bring bikes to keep everyone occupied.
Wen r u next uploading
Why do bike bags cost so much?
Yeah, unless you regularly travel or are going to be gone for a long time it's cheaper to rent or demo than bring your own bike.
MKII on the emulator? i highly doubt Seth owns an SNES or Genesis copy

Owen and milo need their own channels
I second that idea
Nice

I didn’t know bikes could fly!?
Hey Eric what’s up
My dream

Milo
Damn those are pricey travel bags!
Yeah they aren’t cheap, but it’s cheaper than renting a nice bike for a week at your destination!
I wish
Your son is awesome haha
Anyone want to buy my Sync'r 24 ???
Ok now how to fly with your dirt bike
Man without TSA you'd have half as much to talk about and such easier travel. Good info though
