Don Corleone towers above all other film performances, of all time; it has become part of world culture. The rest on the list are memorable for Brando's presence, but many are now unwatchable relics.
should've been 3 Oscar Best Actor wins 1. Streetcar 2. Waterfront 3. Godfather Brando was clearly robbed in 1951 for Stanley Kowalski performance!. its theone that changed acting forever.
Yeah, I guess you could say he was robbed, but the Oscars are rather famous for that. And you have to admit that the prize going to Bogart was due to happen even though “The African Queen” is not that great a film (IMO).
Not the highest-rated, but here my favorite Marlon Brando movies: 10. The Godfather 9. Desiree 8. The Fugitive Kind 7. The Young Lions 6. On the Waterfront 5. Morituri 4. Burn 3. Julius Caesar 2. Dry White Season And my most favorite - 1. Guys and Dolls Yup, I like him most as a young, romantic, clever, and funny leading man - so handsome and so delicious!
Too bad Bob's on holiday now! I guessed you were going to do Brando when you said you were planning a video on a favourite of his. I have seen 16 Marlon Brando movies. The lowest ranked film I have seen is Reflections in a Golden Eye. A lot of Brando films I have seen I admire more than enjoy (eg. On The Waterfront). My favourite Brando films are Teahouse of the August Moon, Guys and Dolls, Sayonara, Julius Caesar, The Young Lions and The Wild One. Favourite posters and stills are the two portraits with cats, A Countess From Hong Kong, Reflections in a Golden Eye, Teahouse of the August Moon, The Young Lions, Sayonara, Guys and Dolls, The Wild One, Viva Zapata, Julius Caesar, On the Waterfront, and the final still.
Hi Flora, I finally upload a nice big Brando video and Bob goes on holiday, I mean what are the odds? :) I've beaten your tally this time, I've seen 20 of the 38 films on the list. Favorites include The Godfather, On the Waterfront, Julius Caesar, Mutiny on the Bounty, Superman and Apocalypse Now. I added an extra Brando/cat photo with Flora in mind, and cat lovers everywhere. [wink] Thanks for commenting, always appreciated, glad you liked the posters and stills. More expanded videos next week.
The top films are pretty accurately rated, although Superman is a bit high on the list; Reflections in a Golden Eye is rated too low (directed by John Huston and co-starring Elizabeth Taylor) and so is One-Eyed Jacks; I appreciate the video, nicely done.

I still have yet to see The Godfather, or any of the sequels, and I highly doubt I ever will. Even Brando's acclaimed performance offers no initiative. I simply refuse to watch, knowingly anyway, a movie that glorifies and romanticizes organized crime and then makes heroes and elites out of those who participate in it.
Actually, I kind of admire you for the position you’re taking. But Godfather 1 may be the best film ever made. Do you want to miss out on experiencing it?
A matter of taste, but I'm with you. There's enough violence in real life, I like to think movies as an escape. I don't go for those that glorify organize crimes or adultery. Thank you for standing your ground.
I don't know, really, it is just an exercise in education. If you just see the world as black and white, good and evil, then you're just missing out on all the grey. Godfather not only exposes how a crime family may have ran back in those days, but it also exposes corruption on all levels - your judges, politicians, you name it ... it was all in the grey. If you refuse to watch Godfather based on your view that the world is all fine and dandy, that everyone is squeeky clean, then my friend you don't live in reality.

Greatest Actor of AllTime, Thank You, Marlon Brando. 🙏 RIP

The academy didnt want "abusive husband" to win the oscar. 😂

Candy is extremely amazing performance.. no one can be sharp and funny and weird at the same time. Only Brando can do that
I love Marlon Brando!!
Yup, he saw all humans equal. A great human.
me too! he was the best actor and soo GORGEOUS 😊😳
@@StupidLoveActually he did! I think he tried to help out ppl as much as he could
The Appaloosa is a great film. Brando is OK in it but the cinematography and directing are top notch. And John Saxon's performance is nearly flawless.
Many great films the one I best remember is the Godfather.
Brando made some great movies but The Godfather is my favorite.
Small role in The Score. Loved it.

"Reflections in a Golden Eye" is ranked 30th here. LOL. His work there is the best film acting of the 1960s.

REALLY! Try viewing reviews/opinion from COPPOLA, the director & other RUclips reviews, its just so INTERESTING!

Why do you feel the need to announce this? Just because you're cutting yourself off from the culture, do you think people care?
