When I finally joined the navy to have VA for school when I got out, it was like a vacation having good food and enough sleep.

I am conservative and I am gen z. BUT work and education in the 1900's and now is very different. In the 50's 60's 70's you could go through college with a minimum wage job. Now it would litteraly take 14,000 hours of work over 4 years. So that's not even possible. So to say that your grandfather didnt owe money is different now then ot was back then. The education in the states has also gradually declined since ww2 and I believe that needs to be changed if we would like to advance with our country. ALSO one last off topic note; all of us "gen z" are the most conservative generation to ever live so expect some repeals of certain liberal laws and ect pretty soon Phil! I worked to pay my way through school, and did use some student loans to finish. The first payment on a student loan isn't due until 6 months after you graduate giving you plenty of time to secure a job. I paid for my own student loans by working--by being responsible. I do not understand these people who want everything for nothing.

They compare concentration camps in Germany, Poland, Le Struthof concentration camp in France, etc...to southern border detention camps. Absolutely shocking is all I can say. Most of the millennial generation were spoiled rotten as children, placated at every turn instead of learning everything doesn’t always go their way. Rewarded when rewards were not earned. They would rather be on computers or phones which is not equivalent to actually learning to socialize out in the real world. Sadly, most were not brought up knowing about God orJesus which gives a growing meaning and fulfillment to life. They blame their parents and the whole baby boomer generation for everything. Many were drifters, druggies who spit on soldiers returning from the Vietnam war and called them baby killers. Where was the patriotism? Every generation has had problems, but somehow, as it were, the boat came about and changed course....and again it will change course by the power of almighty God. Have faith

Lord have mercy, back in the 1950 college was actually affordable! College education cost increased so much since then. We need to find a better way to educate the future of America. Telling someone this is how I did it back in my day is BS. The problem is bigger than Millennial laziness or lack of work ethic to not see that you seem uninformed. Help solve the problems your generation created don’t just dwell on your successes. Sorry I normally agree with Phil on most things but on this one he’s dead wrong! I don’t hate any child of God.
