Ik kan er wel van genieten dat elke voorstelling hetzelfde gaat: de oude vorstin introduceert de nieuwe vorst(in), de nieuwe vorst(in) bedankt haar/zijn voorganger, het Wilhelmus, en dan, ja hoor, de kleintjes (en ook altijd allemaal jongens óf allemaal meisjes...)
Ook leuk om te zien dat ze allemaal hun eigen stijl hebben, zowel bij aan- als aftreden
Prachtig dat we dit allemaal nog in onze archieven hebben om latere generaties ook deel te laten meeneem aan onze gezamenlijke geschiedenis! Bedankt voor de upload!

Prachtige historische reportage! Ik begrijp alleen niet waarom Juliana prinses genoemd wordt in de titel van deze video. Vanaf het moment dat Wilhelmina haar abdicatie ondertekende was Juliana koningin, dus ook al voorafgaand aan de genoemde inhuldiging die twee dagen later plaatsvond.

Bernard heeft diep in zijn hart moeite gehad dat hij achter zijn vrouw stond. En ik denk dat hij op het balkon het heel goed besefte dat het om de koningin gaat en om haar alleen.
Dat was bij prins Claus wel anders. Die lieve schat mis ik nog steeds.
Ik denk vaak Beatrix (die ik nog altijd zie als mijn koningin) ze zal haar lieve man waar ze oprecht veel van hield missen, nu ze van haar welverdiende pension geniet. Had het haar zo met prins Claus samen gegund.

Linda Al Wilhelmina's broers waren overleden en omdat Wilhelima naast Juliana alleen maar miskramen had gekregen waren er inderdaad maar drie mensen in het koninklijk huis.
Dat was inderdaad tussen 1934 en 1938
For many years the Royal Family only consisted of Queen Wilhelmina and Queen Mother Emma. Then when Wilhelmina married Prince Henrik there were three until Juliana came along and there were four. The Queen Mother and Prince Henrik died in the same year within six months of each other and the Royal Family was back to two. So concerned was the Dutch Government that they actually started debating having another Royal Family take over the throne should anything happen to Wilhelmina and Juliana. When Juliana married Bernhard the number rose to three again and then eventually seven as the princesses came along.
