Hi, thanks for the information. Please if I have a PhD from Malaysian University in the exemption list. With the 6points from this route, can I apply for SMC 6 without a job offer or employment?

Does the qualification and skilled job has to be under the same role or it can be different as long as its skilled one ?

Am trying to claim my 6 point from CAANZ, the requirement just say Membership with Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand. I have a provisional member not the full membership, can i still claim this 6 point with provisal member?
Do i still need a work experience or job offer in NZ to apply if I already got 6 points from above?

Unfortunately for most roles provisional membership is not satisfactory. So it likely won't be enough, and you'll need membership. Once you have that you'll have 6 points

CAANZ only recognise full membership within partnered oversea accounting bodies.

We are offshore and applied SMC in Nov 2020 (160 point system) and cleared the case officer queries in the last week of Sep 2023, would we be granted RV or JSV for New Zealand

It depends on what your application contained. If you applied based on enjoyment then you should be looking at an RV. If you applied without employment then a job search visa.

I am an Australian qualified secondary school teacher, with a Masters in Teaching. I only have 5 months work experience in Australia so far as I have only recently received my teaching registration. Can I get the full 6 points for the skilled migrant category based on this ?

So you would have a couple of options. Your qualification would give you 5 points, as would registration in NZ. Either way you'll need one year of experience in NZ, so you may want to talk to the teaching council and registration in NZ, and you may be eligible to apply one year after you start working in NZ.

Likely only if the pay was 2x the median, as there would be no points from the qualification and no registration requirements. So probably not unfortunately.

Hi..
I started my skilled work in aug 2023 with median wages $30 level 3 job but my employer did not increase my feb 2024 median wages which is around $31.61. Can I still claim 1 point for 1 years experience for SMC VISA..
