Great jams! I also had a Digitech 50 as well as the 150 back in the day 😄! Have also seen various Tank G reviews, and it seems like a great deal! 🤔🤟🎸

Haha the digitech club! Yeah over the years I had the RP 50, 55, and 1000. We've come a long way!

Lester when you mentioned the RP 50.. it brought back some memories.. some good.. but mostly bad.. having to scroll through that thing.. ugh.
Kids are so lucky these days.. WE had to work for our tones back in the day 😜🤘

Hey Lester, did you try out loading self-trained new amp models into the Tank-G?
I think THIS is where the Tank-Gs REALLY shine!
Yes, you can train your own neural net models and load them into the unit! And there are plenty already available. The Tank-G runs under the names Playwell, Lekato and the developer of these units, M-Vave. The devices should be technically identical, just rebranded, and you can use the software from M-Vave, including SincoANN, for all of them. With the actual M-EFCS you should be able to load AM2 amp models into the machines. The Firmware updater should identify the unit as Tank-G V1 or V2 before it does its duty. I would try this out asap. Because this is, what makes this thing super-interesting, loading in amp models of every hardware unit OR plugin you have. (Or models you can find on the web.)
(For training of VST/plugin amps, you find a video on youtube that has instructions to train them on google colab, plus a link for the according training software...)
For me, this is the best feature of them all, I can train my DAW amp sounds and carry them to the gigs and rehearsals - in hardware!
Opens up a new world. Love my Tank-G. I have the V2 from M-Vave but thinking of getting a second one, and why not a black unit this time? 🙂
(Uhm, yes, this makes the unit similar to a Tonex or Kemper, actually.)

@@LesterMitchell Not only that, but the Brazilians have already figured out how to use Neural Amp Modeler captures on the device! You gotta do an update video testing this out, perhaps try loading Ola Englund's free Randall Satan 50 NAM profile and one of his free Hesu 2x12 IR's! Keep up the good work Mitchell! \m/

Great video and pedal. I ordered mine recently and look forward to using it on my European trip. BTW, you mentioned that you used only your pedal for the final song... where did the drums come from? Does this pedal also have a drum machine?

    • @LesterMitchell
      @LesterMitchell  17 дней назад

Thanks a bunch my friend! Ah, sorry for not clarifying in the video. No drum machine in the pedal. When I make songs for these review videos I have to use my drum software addictive drums 3. Hope that helps!

I bought the playwell version, love it, but wish it had better effects, I’ll use the chorus but would have rather had a flanger instead of tremolo

    • @LesterMitchell

Understandable! I'm just happy it has reverb, delay and chorus. That's all I ever use half the time lol. Actually I rarely even use chorus but still fun to have

Hey Lester, sorry I haven't been tuning in to the lives lately, been having abdominal pain. Found out I have gallstones so now I have to wait to be referred to a surgeon. Healthcare system's awesome here in the US... not! Anyway, I have a mini version of this I got on Amazon called the micro-rig. It's got 8 amps and 9 IRs too but it doesn't seem to have as much gain as this one and the low end is flubby. I boosted it with an overdrive and it seemed to have helped but I think this one sounds better. As always the jam was awesome, and it's nice to see someone playing 9th chords and augs in their videos instead of the same old-same old LOL. If I'm not in the live just remember I'm still watching and giving a thumbs-up. \m/

I got one and seriously sounds great, it won’t beat out a pedalboard but the cases where you want to have a small rig or wanna play through headphones (which this is Bluetooth and you can listen to music and play your guitar at the same time all in your headphones) makes this worth buying in opinion just because of that. If you do get it, I’d say the Bogner amp and cab 7 is the best combo in my opinion for you get the widest possibility of tones

    • @offclphiliprosa
