Guys, remember these are Olympic records, not world records
Sebastian Sanso pretty sure nobody else can break these records other than olympians...
@@xotixlol5763 Well, the world record is 2.45 meters , which is significantly more then these jumps, so....
@@xotixlol5763 bruh you stupid
@@arlekin1976 any athlete can break a world record at any official tournament, but an olympic is just too special. Not all athlete can compete there, even a world record holder.
Xotixlol wrong
First dude cleared it by a mile
Camera angle.
@@thethirdman225 that was not camera angle
@@thethirdman225 bruh XD
He cleared it by a mile with most of his body but then put his feet were slightly displaced and any higher he would have knocked it down.
Personaron The Great Look at the other angle of that jump and while its a very good clearance, it’s not exceptional.
First guy had so much room, could’ve easily cleared 2.4
At 0:30 he barely skims his backside past the bar on the way down, and certainly would have taken down a higher bar. Yes, he could have cleared 2.4, but the bar would have needed to be a few inches forward.
@@distorteddan6801 His hip almost touches the bar so no
It’s hard to believe that someone can jump a foot over there own height..amazing.
I can jump high and I can easily jump over a foot of my height because im small
@@sports4eva798 that first dude tall so makes it harder
@@sports4eva798 but that’s not how it works because being small is also a disadvantage In high jump
Their
Bro I am in 7th and my max is only 4'4 💀
at 2:23 theres a ghost riding a bike or something on the bottom right corner
It’s a camera flash
I think it’s a lens flare
I think it's the DEBIL'!!
@@ronniebillhicks LOL! ;-)
Its an easter egg d creatir of dis vid put it der
0:10 secs when you're a little far from the door but someone holds it open for you.
😂😂😂
😂😂
LOL
Am I the only one who would prefer the commentary rather than the music.., and given this is the official Olympics channel i dont see how that would be difficult
Yes i agree
For that 10 sec game...they did a many years of practice...
salute _/\_
It's not a 100m race, u have at least 30 sec here as u have at leats 3 jumps
1:34 I see you cosmo and Wanda you two think your slick🤣🤣🤣
Lmaoo haha
I wonder where Timmy is at?🤔
Where
The runup in the Seoul games was so short they had to start on the grass 😂😂
Great Jumps by all of them. High jumps are a treat to watch.
Still an Olympic record holder for 25 years! Respect from Russia
I remember your Russian named Vallery, something, held the record for years , maybe till the fossbery came along!!
Unfortunate Javi the Great never cleared more than 2.34m in the Olympics. Nearly 30 years on now and he's still the only one to have ever cleared 8 feet.
2:14
Lips: yeah! Yeah! Mdfckaa!!!!
Was about to comment that also... Maybe all the olympians think that, but I would guess most of them does not shout it out load...
When you're not afraid to be yourself is when you're most incredible.
that first dude had more to spare!
Javier Sotomayor in the crowd yawning 😴😂😂
Yeah but he was on coke
Drouin's jump is the most flawless execution of a fosbury flop I have ever seen.
So what do you think about Artur Partyka's jump at 2,37 m (the first one in the video)??
@@robertbaranski3963 bro he said " flawless ". Even imo Drouin is flawless. He's using a orthodox technique.
I love that little "john deer" trot they do before they take off. lol
Sotomayor 2.45 m
Amei esse vídeo, nunca esperava assistir um show desse muito obrigado.
These guys jump higher than i grow
I mean considering the world record is like 8 feet... hahaha
...that makes no sense
Not at the Olympics but in Salamanca in 1993, Javier Sotomayor set the record of 2.45 m! The current record holder ❗️
Much Gratitude
I love the different run ups.
This is IMPOSSIBLE. Great applauds to all athletes
1:54 I swear I thought I was watching Tosh.0 doing a web-redemption
he said thats whats up i think
Wow! This is awesome!!!
The jump of the canadian looked so natural! That was amazing. Now, I'll go back to reading Hana-Kimi. I came here because that sport is pretty focused there.
Bro and I was proud of my 1.37 scissor kick jump
HELP
Wow that’s insane
That is so cool!
Nice vid
WOW awsome!
The way they jump and fall back first amazes me! I wonder how hard it is to learn how to jump like that
this is what im watching to avoid my homework
fantastic ......
I'm not going to lie they had us in the first half
Nice records new ones to be set
Nice update
VERY COOL
The record at my high school in Wisconsin by 1974 was 7 foot 6.
You mean 6'7"
It is true that Charles Austin is the Olympic record holder, however the highest jump recorded was performed by Javier Sotomayor , 2, 45 meters . And on top of that he had jump more than 2,39 in more than one occasion.
For all of their hard work....
Who else loved the music
Hey Charles Austin is from my hometown Van Vleck we have a huge sign saying his name and medal
There’s a video of Kenyans in high school jumping this high and landing on their feet 🤯
I was looking for this comment istg
No. These people here are jumping like 40cm higher.
They are jumping about 1.85-1.95 max. Which is impressive, dont get me wrong, but these are 40-50 cm higher. Thats a lot for highjump
@@christopherstein2024 still, the Kenyan dudes are barefoot, some where random in nature, staying up right, did you watch the video? They treat it like a frickin hurtle. It’s insane
1:41 is it just me or does this man look like a jumpy character in a video game
Wow 😍
Wow it's ossum
Who is here after watching kenyan school high jump
Lol me
Wow
Me too
Looks to me like the world record of 2.45 will be there forever
How much feet is the world record of high jump?
Bashim jumped 2.43 and he tried 2.46 a few times but no luck
@@zottirgen He is Barshim
@@zottirgen Barshim almost succeeded
Nice
the canadian's jump was the coolest B)
Partyka BEST.
Look how Charles Austin used his hands till last nanosecond before bending 2:25
These foos crazy
Proof white guys can jump.
stfu
naruto Shibuya ?
White guys be like: baboing
the black guys till has the record lol
Not because they are black. The high jump is way more even between the races for some reason.
1:51
And then there’s me in middle school track with terrible form barrel rolling across a 4 foot bar
WOW AHHHH WOOOOO
The second best jump (at 1:40) the dude didn't even use any arm swing for the jump. Crazy.
He used 1 arm technique
This is really gymnastics. The control these athletes have over their bodies.
I don’t think so they’re not using upper body and if you’re bare foot it’s very high chance for injury
God bless you all
I wonder what would happen if they didn't inform the jumpers what the height of the crossbar is.
Or if they said it’s lower then what it actually is
Must of had leaping potion
even after editing, that nonsense mistake is still there.
MAN,FOSBURY IS THE RECORD BRO
The 3rd guy looks like the coach in the background of the first guy who jumped!
I can't believe I used to do this in high school and went states lmao. Highest jump cleared was 6'4. Fast forward 28 years, I can probably clear 3'6 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
how tall were you? Im just starting out and 3 days I got my first meet
@@rayman1852 6 feet. Back in my day I had no coach for that event. I had to train myself watching vcr tapes😅😅😅
It’s like they literally float over the bar
7 feet 10 inches!!!😲
What is the name of background track
Woooowww
I like the part when they jump
2.25 got ghost on the video down there
how in the wrld!
Charles Austin like.. I believe I can fly
It’s like having double jump
2 things I thought of:
1. If you were in your backyard with no mats or bar to jump over, then this would be learning how to backflip, side backflip or reverse flip? Something like that
2. Imagine if this is how people jumped over fences
When I was a kid back in the 60s, I would participate in track and field stuff, including hide jumping. When they changed the style of jumping, I had to ask, and I still ask: why would you jump like that? The Fosbury Flop Is so unnatural looking. The earlier forms of jumping seem more natural and easier to do!
Tamberi!!
They need to invite Master Wong from the temple for a real world record lol
Can someone tell me the music name?
When did Daniel yoshi start high jumping?? He even got number two on this list
Everything with limits is just psychic barriers. If you max out on 1.60 etc. Put a small trampoline underneath it at same level and jump over 1.80 next training sessions, the brain will feel the momentum and later rely on the musclememory and think it's your natural ability.
This can't be true
It goes 5,2,2,2,1
Do Goal keeper very good
My Favorite video. ARIF Bangladesh Country
This song slaps, anyone know what it is called?
wow
Song?
Mexico 1968, Fosbury 2.24m
The Flop is one of sports coolest techniques
Was the Canadian guy Daniel Tosh
cool
did I see a ghost at 2:25?
ever heard about lens flares?
8 inches difference is like a haven here
Vera level super super super super super super super super super super 🧒🧒🧒🧒🧒🧒🧒🧒
Partyka's jump is amazing, to bad the bar wasn't set for 2,46 😊 Wish someone could look at all the best jumps and somehow, with todays video measuring techniques get the "actual" highest jumps 😊
You mean like where the bar could have been? I think on Javiers 2.45 it could have been 2.47.
@@ATLTraveler
Yea exactly 😊 that's true, he made an amazing jump and was an amazing athlete!
The camera angle makes it look higher than it was. Look at the other replays and you'll see that while it was a fantastic jump, it wasn't what a lot of internet bullshit artsists claim it was.
@@thethirdman225 it was defo too low with the upper body to be more than 2.40
@@Maxistanca What?
I'm a high jumper.......just want to say it is freaking hard...........
