(A competition for professional singers that runs for 14 weeks, 1 performance each week. Dimash was brought in as a "wildcard" novelty and expected to be voted out after a couple of performances😂😂😂) Dimash wowed the audience of 500 judges and came in second- rules were that only an artist born in China could take first place, otherwise he would have come in first. I love this playful cocky performance. I´ve the feeling you would have fun to watch a whole concert of Dimash. He is never boring. 😀 Note: That`s not real opera. But it`s a song with parts of classical style.
You really need to see Dimash performing at his solo concerts. I recommend Durdaraz and El Amor En Ti from the Almaty concert, these are both on his own channel posted separately but the entire concert is also on his channel in 3 parts. His stage presence is like nothing I've seen in decades. The Almaty stage was huge, it had 2 screens of 50ft each and a centre screen of 70ft and could still fit an entire orchestra, all his musicians and a whole ballet company but when he was onstage all you saw was him and his overwhelming presence. This isn't actually opera but if you want to see Dimash doing opera then he did a duet with Placido Domingo, one of the world's greatest opera singers where he stuck to purely opera technique.

If others have noticed it they haven't said so in their reaction. So bravo to you. This is a fun reaction. (PS: This is a cover of a Vitas song. He was not happy with Dimash - presumably for doing it better - so he blocked Dimash from preforming it again.)

Incidentally, that was the first time he had been away from home for a very long time. He was still quite young at the time and was so homesick that the other competitors in the competition and the organizers were worried about him. This show was something special in that everyone took Dimash to their hearts, especially since he was the youngest of all the participants. Welcome to the Dimash rabbit🐰hole🕳‼ Dimash was sick with this performance. He also was going to sing another song, but the producer who introduced him to the show asked for this. Vitas the beloved Russian singer who composed this song threatened a lawsuit if Dimash ever sang it again. Vitas has since tried to replicate Dimash's version to no avail. He has made a new video of it with 2 sopranos to do what Dimash did. The part when he sang even higher and did the staccato. Dimash did so to prove he was not using auto-tunes. PS Dimash broke the Chinese internet with everyone looking him up on his first 2 appearances on the show called "I am singer" in China.
There is no documentation that Vitas forbade Dimash from singing this song. There was some problem between Vitas’ record company and Hunan TV because the Chinese didn’t get permission to broadcast Vitas’s song. (This is what I understand from a woman who worked on the show). 🎉❤🎉

You really need to see Dimash performing at his solo concerts.
