@@transformasikhatulistiwa3750 True, but what they mean is that we are dangerous for amphibians themselves, their skins absorbs everything which is why you should really wash your hands before handling them.
i'd personally put a barrier between the substrate and the drainage layer. As pacman frogs are burrowing species, they might dig down into the lava sand and mess up the layer!
😂 okay, when you have one, don't forget to put a lid to prevent dust and other possible harmful things to getting in because Pacman's skin is sensitive.
@Fish-Jay & Lorena Aquariums I spray the enclosure regularly and I have a warm climate here already. I recommend to use a lid though, to prevent dust in the enclosure.
Well, Aphonopelma Chalcodes is a dry type tarantula, so I wouldn't recommend putting a large water dish. Also the plants won't do great in dry enclsorue. And if you want, you can replace the bark with rocks but use rocks with flat surfaces. Hope it helps 👍
I've heard about that too but I'm not really sure. I often see them spit out the substrate if they missed catching the prey. My frogs are also doing good till now. Though my albino died a while ago (unknown cause), the other 2 are healthy and well. The reason I'm using substrate is I want to create a natural environment for them to live.
I know this is old, but.. their natural substrate is not as loose as what's being used here. In nature, they don't pick up so much of it because it's more packed and under a heavy layer of leaf litter (which is too big to be eaten in most cases). Odds are high this is what killed the albino.
It's just to make the pond shallower so the pacman can sit and chill there. I rarely clean the enclsorue because I use springtails. A few minutes after the pacman pooped when I look back, the springtails already swarm the poop.
They can't climb but they can jump if it's not high enough and I would recommed you to use a lid to prevent dusts from getting in becase pacman's skin is very sensitive. Also don't forget about ventilation 😁
@@LukeSunderlandMusic no problem! They usually sit in one spot for a very long time so I think it is also suitable for adults but if you want to provide larger enclosure later, that might be better 👍
Handling frogs in these gloves was a really nice touch 👍 Not everyone remembers that it's dangerous for amphibians to have contact with our skin
Not all frogs are dangerous

this is amazing!!!! ive always thought the water dishs look horribly ugly and i want the enclosure to be as natural as possible this is amazing

You're right! Thanks 👍
Hi! what barrier would you reccomend? I want to recreate this:)
Damn all your enclosures are amazing!
Thanks so much!
These enclosures are amazing great job, i really like your scorpion enclosures aswell 👍
Thank you Aaron! Glad you like it! 👍
Great idea with the water dish, now I want a Pacman lol

I'm the 400 and 1 subscriber I can't believe you don't have more remember me when you're famous lol
You should get a tomato frog I have 1 there cool
😂👌appreciate it! I'll try
How do you change the water?
most likely a small siphon like whats used in aquariums
12:23 nawww why does the frog's case say microwave safe 💀
ahahaha, that's actually a food container :)
This is awesome! Did you need a lid or is it fine to not have one?
I like the enclosure for your pacman 🐸🙂
Glad you liked it! 😁
How you clean the pond without pull out from cage?
Nice vid 👍
Thanks! Appreciate it 😁
Pacman bisa loncat jauh nga sih gan? Mau buat semi palud cetek gitu
Do you think this could work for a small desert Arizona Blonde Tarantula, if so do you think any form of rocks instead of the bark could work?
Well, Aphonopelma Chalcodes is a dry type tarantula, so I wouldn't recommend putting a large water dish. Also the plants won't do great in dry enclsorue. And if you want, you can replace the bark with rocks but use rocks with flat surfaces. Hope it helps 👍
How do you clean and maintain the pond, given that it's built into the setup and filled with lava sand?
I don't really clean the pond, I just take out the feces if she decided to poop there. I also refill the water if it'd become less.
How do you change out their water?
I don't, I just add new clean water because the water disappeares over time.
How do you clean the pond, given that it's built into the setup and filled with lava sand when the frog is full of soil and jumps into the pond?
That's the challenging part, I ended up using a lid so that the inside of the enclosure don't get dirty, and I rarely change the water.
is it safe to keep them in bioactive ? won't them eat the substrate and causing infection of internal digestion ?

Where do you get your acrylic? My local home Depot has some terrible quality acrylic, every piece is scratched up and dirty lol
The tanks I use in this video are made of glass, not acrylic. If you ask about acrylic, I usually buy it online
Beautiful. Where do you find those square tanks?
Thanks! I bought it customized from a fish store.
What is lava stone does? And how often you Clean your enclosure?

@@dnadesignn is it okay if don't clean their urine?
@@collinezainal4379 I think you should clean it from time to time but if you use springtails, you can have more time between each cleaning.
Is your Pacman still alive?

hi! do you need a lid for pac-man enclosures or no because they can’t climb the walls?

25 x 25 x 20 cm

I think it's fine for adults since they don't move much. The size is 25x25x20 cm
Where did you get the lava sand?
Bought it from online stores 👍 pretty sure Fish/Aquascape supplies stores have it too.

The water is way to deep for a pac man frog. It would definitely drown.
Imma gift my girlfriend a Pac-Man frog, I think she will find a setup like this cute
Aw! That's so nice to hear 😀 are you giving it with the enclosure?
