I did hear of some people who have had their legs amputated during war some have actually return with their units. One particular story I did take my breath away, was one about a green beret. He lost his leg while fighting in Afghanistan. Despite everyone telling him he won’t be able to come back to active duty he never gave up kept on fighting. He eventually became deployable again for active duty. Even became a warrant officer. But besides that there’s another story, I found even more disturbing not about amputation. But just imagine anybody surviving a knife attack to the head, while managing to take down the enemy that stabbed them. They have a freaking knife in their head like not a problem. What happened to a soldier in Iraq 2007 I think. So the guys in his unit were horrified by seeing a knife in his head so he was medevac. They got the knife out of his head. He had a long recovery to do but he managed to somehow get better going back to his unit. Now in Clays situation, he would’ve done whatever, to get back with his team. But he realizes that he has a family and on top of that he was planning to leave with Stella and his son somewhere to live out there days leaving the navy getting discharged. So in the end he chose his family, but however, if it wasn’t for that former airman not exactly sure what rank he was. It’s kind of hard to believe this guy a drone operator, considering I’ve done research on drone operators in the US Air Force. Don’t know if this guy had a degree or anything but I feel like he outranks Clay. But either way clay had to go help that guy he wanted to do something like that later on in life but unfortunately, he had to meet an ending at the hands of a security guard. That’s probably going to be living with that for the rest of his life. Along with that former airman, especially considering he was about to burn a recruiting office and revenge for his problems. Yeah he’s definitely going to live with that forever.

@@moniqueseitz2277 Amputation isn't always a "choice." Sometimes it's the only option for survival and quality of life.
