Another great video. I just found your channel and I'm really enjoying it. Like you, I found a passion for French at an early age of around 13 way back in 1971. I kept up my French studies thru high school and college. When I graduated high school, I took the French Achievement Test and scored so high that it made it possible for me to follow a double major of Political Science and French in college. For my Junior year I could not pass up the opportunity to study in Paris. It was a dream come true. But like most who study French in a classroom, I found myself overwhelmed when I arrived. I was not prepared for how fast French was spoken as well as all the slang and expressions. I very quickly realized that if I was going to take full advantage, I needed to avoid speaking English as much as possible and immerse myself in the language and culture. I soon made some French friends and I was off on my linguistic adventure. I rapidly advanced in my language skills, and like you, knew I was achieving fluency when I started "thinking" and dreaming in the language. I will never forget his feeling as long as I live. Well, here we are 35 or so years later, and while I have to admit I have lost some vocabulary, I still retain this ability to "think" in French. There was no better time than during this pandemic to 'refresh' my French skills. I discovered all the tools available on the internet that I never had as a French learner. My ear quickly became accustomed again and I have regained my B2 level. So again, thanks for making these videos. They are very much appreciated by us language geeks!

Thank you for your wonderful comment. I am happy to hear that my videos have been enjoyable for you.
And it is a pleasure to meet a fellow francophile. Your histoire d’amour de la langue française reminds me so much of my own and evokes so many fond memories of my days in high school and college working to make my dream of studying in France a reality.
That is wonderful that you are able to think in French after all these years and I am happy to hear that you have regained your B2 level!
I always tell friends that my passion for the French language is lifelong journey rather than a destination :)
