So I love JF like many, but when he was going through his self destructive stage he said, “I don’t like Cobain’s music.” He was under the influence of heroine, so I’m sure he had no idea what he was talking about, but then again, during the interview John sounded pretty aware.
They had a further leg of the tour in 2007 where I saw them twice. He didn't leave after this bit of touring. There was at least a good year to go after this of him being in the band.
Looking forward to the new album and the new classic songs that we are guaranteed when we have Frusciante composing with his old companions, Anthony, Chad and Flea !!!!
Peppers have kept rock going like noone else has in terms of releasing new material. They are covered all day on 3 local rock stations here in Florida, and SHIT now that John is back I feel their next release will be HUGE! NOONE rocks now a days like RHCP!
Sad interview... I wish I could be the journalist to interview the Red Hot. I would talk about relevant subjects rather than meaningless questions. Although this interview, thanks to John's reflexive vibe, was a great one.
Ansioso pelo novo álbum e as novas músicas clássicas que nos é garantido quando temos o Frusciante compondo com seus companheiros de sempre, Anthony, Chad e Flea!!!!
As a german this makes me cringe so hard. They get the chance to meet JOHN FRUSCIANTE and choose an interviewer with shitty english skills and stupid questions >:( no wonder he hated touring and left the chili peppers
I hate hearing Germans talking English.. First of all the pronunciation is awkward and secondly they always sound rude, 'cause they don't know how to phrase and express themselves spontaneously. I mean don't get me wrong - I'm a German too and I have the same problems with that too, but oof... I wish we could do better.
I read somewhere that because Flea wanted to take an extended break after stadium arcadium, John felt that they should keep making music but accepted it anyway, leading to him delving into more electronic music during this break and wanting to do his own thing.
@@alexv7710 it was more the other way around from what i understand. after their hiatus was over John wanted to keep exploring electronic music while the rest of the band wanted to keep start back up with the RHCP.
@@BOUZOUKI_PETE First you go on completely disregarding the band making it seems like John is solely responsible for their success and then you start disregarding John and the amazing creative force that he is like??? Of course John made them better he is a vital part of the band but he's not responsible for their success alone.

Thank You Very Much!!! ;)
I'm happy that John is around. He has such inspiring passion for making the best music he can and is always in touch with his muse.
Frusciante is articulate, intelligent and expansive - this is a very cool interview, thank you @RHCPtv1 for posting it ❤️
❤️
What he says about bsides is so powerful and as a hardcore fan I feel like now those bsides are even more special. Love you John
Right!!!! I'll buy the B sides!!❤️

@@L-A-Chargers Yes, absolutely, and this is totally not the only one time he expressed his appreciation for Kurt😉
Nice interview. Helps a little bit to understand why he left the band after the tour. He's already tired of touring at this time. But he is back :)
❤
I blame their management, they have a common habit of pushing their clients to tour as much as they can.

Love his honesty in a public Interview. Living in the 70's suits him well :)

I would really like to spend a day playing guitar with John making melodies. No one else's music, just off the cuff fun.
Thank you for posting this. ❤

thank god this account exists!
Oh yes, great my friend, John Forever ❤🎸✌😉 big Like for you. Thanks so much. Happy weekend friends 👌😉🎸❤🔥

Great interview!! Thanks!

The best guitar on the world❤️❤️🌶️
Thank you¬!! Never too much of these/
Yay John the vinyl reissues are coming soon, and the trickfinger cd's are really good .
I've never seen that photo before.
I've taken some pictures of my daughter like this. It's a cool angle!
Great interview‼️

A lot of interviewer questions are driven by what the publisher wants, journalsts don't often get much choice in this respect.
This interviewer is extra straight forward...
The question is: will the box set still come???
Albertjan van Doorn can’t we just have the B sides? The box set never did come despite people waiting 14 years 😆
What box set are you referring to?
Space Monkey the one he talks about in the interview - he says it will include all RHCP recordings including B sides
@@irenahalder I heard him say that, though given the interview is from 06, does anyone know if this is still expected to be a think.

John: you don't know how to stop your phone? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
it's going to be really nice
12: 24 Interviewer: I read the next single will be Storm in a Teacup.
John: Nahhhh, (it was certaintly not a favorite of his)
13:27 cracked me up
Shit like this is why John quit the band twice.
Can someone explain what ID's are?
like radio ads for the station... like " hi this is so and so and you're listening to 101.5 Butthole licker radio etc..."

Hi Germany.
seen this before

That's what the deal is... I wasn't sure why this interviewer sounded so rude or abrupt.
Why did he leave RHCP do you know guys?
probably because of this interview...lol jk
but honestly you can kinda read between the lines in interviews like these..

john transformed them into an epic band
before him they were borderline joke band
a true guitarist’s guitarist
they were well known before he joined

i dont know why i even said that
half his solos are little wing
