I think it's arguably John's best solo album, to this day. A concept album about spirituality/transcendance his a tough challenge; it could easily end up in a disaster, but among the 10 tracks, I'd say 3 are works of a genius, 3 other are truly excellent, 2 are very good and the last two good and... not so good.
I don't understand why John didn't include "Today" on the standard release -- it the first of two bonus tracks included on the Japanese edition. "One More of Me" being, to me, the weakest track (I don't like the vocals on that one), I understand the song are in sequence to describe the steps and obstacles of spiritual enlightenment, so each one is important, but -- I dunno -- maybe "Today" was dealing with the same issues as "Central". Is that the reason why, John?
Moreover, not only the music is excellent, but John really nailed the vocals! I was amazed by his voice range. On "After the Ending", his vocals are stellar and so vibrant! It's a masterpieces, John's masterpiece -- you're right.

It got awkward quick when the interviewer talked about what the plans for the chili peppers were. Seems as if John was anxiously wanting to continue where as the other members of the band were wanting to take a break. I believe this is the point when John quit again after stadium arcadium. I’m so happy that John came back to his family and his purpose.

@@nickdumont9891I feel his beliefs align with me own, he articulates things that I can't describe with words!
He's very in tune with and sensitive to energy, he lets it lead and he takes the back seat. Always throwing credit to the universe and powers that be rather than giving it to himself. Which in my opinion is the crux of artistic expression. We are here to translate the intangible as artists. To take wordless energy, spirits, powers, forces and channel them into expression. The universe literally expressing itself through us. Cause we are it. He's a pure artist. I admire him on many levels.
