Theory: I think the reason Jax was being so pissy in this episode, and so dead set on choosing violence, and so disappointed when that option was taken away from him, might be because he was trying to use that violence as a cathartic outlet and a way to vent his own sorrows at Kaufmo's death. This whole episode, I think, may basically be him going through the "anger" stage of grief... In which case his carefree attitude in regards to Kaufmo abstracting in the pilot could have been him going through "denial"...
More likely just to cope with his situation in general. The problem is that we don't know if this behavior is new for Jax. Although, when you point it out like that, most of the character's do seem to represent a stage of grief just based on how they act. Denial = Ragatha, anger = Jax, depression = Gangle, and acceptance = Kinger. The only one that doesn't quite fit at the moment is Zooble as Bargaining but we also haven't even seen much of them yet so keep an eye out I guess.
@@53shelbyYeah, but when Ragatha was telling Ponmi about the funeral, you could see Jax getting sad for a second before walking away. I think he does care but isn't comfortable with showing vulnerability. So he didn't go to the funeral because he has his own way of dealing with grief. But thats just what I think. I also think that the reason Jax wasn't their when everyone grabbed Pomni's hand was because she doesn't consider him as a friend or someone who cares. I find Pomni not warming up to Ragatha right away fascinating, particularly the "I could use a friend" line she gives Gummigoo. It feels like she's not very good at reading other people emotionally; Hell, she had to ask if Gummigoo was OK after telling him he's an NPC in a video game created to provide an ultimately trivial obstacle on an "adventure" concocted just to pass time for the human players and keep them entertained. Pomni is a very layered character, not a bad person by any means, but still has her own weaknesses and flaws. Edit: I don't think the "who knows what might happen" isn't Caine hiding something so much as him either fearing that he might mistake a human player for an NPC and zap them away or maybe even that's something he already did in the past and wants to avoid that in the future. But, that's just my interpretation of him going all "thousand-yard stare" after saying that.
so 2 theories 1) theres a higher power than caine, his AI is not as intelegent as he appears and caine is terrified of that higher power. 2) ive thought this for a while, jax is the youngest of them, hes 22 as gooseworks mentioned. and if theyve really been there for years, then its highly possible he was just a child when he got into the circus

My theory is when caine says "who knows what might happen" he's refering to like accidentally deleting a human thinking they were an npc or npc's used to be able come to the circus without getting exploded but bc of this the circus got overpopulated by npcs so caine had to delete them all and made the rule of no npcs in circus but hey thats just a theory :D
I watched ep2 last night & it altered my brain chemistry like WHAT
i have theory since Gangle has both a happy and sad face and is made of ribbons it's like the drama symbol with the masks meaning before the circus Gangle was a theater kid
The Candy Land character you're thinking of is Gloppy, he was found in the Molasses Swamp
Edit: Also agreed, justice for Gummygoo
I had to look it up
I also thought the fudge monster looked like a candy land character too
Hay when you mentioned baroness von bon bon my mind gave flashbacks of that demonic woman
Morgan, can you print out Caines face and punch it at least once?
I love Caine but i needs 1/2 punches for..yk. #justiceforGummigoo
Fun fact we may get to see all the characters rooms at different points
MORGAN YOUR THE BEST NEVER STOP UPLOADING !
"I'm gonna make bad financial decisions today."
Me too Morgan.... Me too... No regrets though!
I don't understand how people didn't expect existential horror in this when it was a big thing in the pilot.
where did u get the shirt?? Its really cool and I think It fits ur hair aswell!❤
Hmmm something tells me it’s not first time Caine dealt with sentient AI, and that he may have mistaken some with real humans 🤔😰
He did say that he was testing a new AI that was supposed to be more immersive.
@@Xalerdane true, but it’s not the first time he was dishonest on stuff before, the exit door for one. Like how he was damn anxious/ashamed that the exit door is “incomplete” that he didn’t want to show it in the first place, he may have made shameful mistakes with other creations like sentient AI before…
Pomni’s room was first seen in a teaser tweet
HELP I HAD AN ENTIRE PANIC ATTACK WHEN YOU MENTIONED BILLIE BUST UP THEN I SAW THE BARNABY PLUSH IN THE BACK AND I WAS LIKE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Episode 3 yes! 19:23
Caine: "With these new colorful characters, imagine all the VIOLENT SHIPPING WARS that we'll be COMPLETELY POWERLESS TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT!"
Ragatha is pomni's over protective mom
8:30
Why would this be the last thing you'd expect from this? This whole show is about existential horror
Damn! Missed the premiere! This episode was amazing!
If it helps, Gummigoo seems highly likely to come back, Ragatha implied it and the plushies were said to be of 'the entire main cast'
I love her laugh! It makes my day ❤
Gentle reminder that Morgan uses they/them pronouns
Their laugh is contagious! Morgan has great reactions
0:14 oh em gee that intro looks fab✨️
I can see Pomni & Ragatha as best friends, no bones about it
The fudge gives me the evil from the movie Ferngully (the one with Robin Williams as a funny bat).
Episode 2 did a whole 180 from the pilot episode. I wonder what funny jokes and horrors episode 3 will bring...
I feel like jax is the rabbit version of the joker
omg fr
Thought he said gummy gay
BAHAHA
LOVED this episode
I fell in love with gummigoo right away why did they do him like that 😭
