Hello everyone!!
Thanks for joining me today!
I decided to have some fun with iridescent paints from Pebeo. I love the way this turned out and I love the rainbow colours. After I stopped recording, I did scrape the ends and added more white as I wanted the edges to have more negative space. I will show the dried result in a future video :)

Just watched this oldie but goodie and really enjoyed it. Laughing real hard when you said you were discombobulated!!! My favorite word!!! Have been trying to explain it to a 65 y/o hispanic woman at work. She is sooo not getting it. Anyway, loved how it turned out. I see that you have changed some things since this one was made. Just soaking it all in.... learning learning learning!!!

I call it frazzled. Beautiful painting. I love my Lolivefe mats, I have several now, and they are a dream to clean up compared to silicone mats..
Thank you for making a video showing things like how to clean the silicon mats. It's little things like that that aren't intuitive for us newbies.
I love this style of covering more of the canvas … it’s cool to watch some of the older videos to see the progression of the way Artists change their styles

Pretty! 😍 It's a bird of paradise. The push pin dropping is a real thing... So maddening... I filled small, bathroom sized cups, about 1/3 full of plaster of Paris for dyi stands. They're working great. Weighted enough to not tip over.

Same here. I had my arm full of folded blankets I just washed and my cellphone in my hand and as I was going up to put the blankets away I freaked because I couldn't find my phone. I asked my son if he'd seen it and he was like... it's in your hand. Lol, I went around the house carrying those blankets looking for my cellphone and it was in my hand the whole time but I forgot I had already picked it up yet I couldn't see it because of the blankets. My kids laughed so hard and I was like yeah I need to go to bed.

😂😂 I did the same thing with my phone in my third trimester with my now two month old... In front of my whole immediate family... We all lost it, laughing. I was pregnant though, so 🤷🏻♀️😂
💘 the iridescent colors!! Thet are currently sitting in my Michael's cart..where they've been for almost a week..🤦♀️cause, I Love 🎨 but I'm frugal (aka tight)🤣. Also Love Juno 🐺🥰. Huskies are so amazing. People that have never known one are missing out. I have a Ginger she just turned 6 and I've had her since she was born. Okay✋Granted the hair 😳is next level but she is my best friend. Don't know what I'd do without her. Thanks girl, love your stuff...so inspiring 🥰👍

You need a lazy susan to put underneath your canvas for when you need to move it. Love the color combo in this piece. Sorry I am so late watching this. I just found the video. I am now binge watching.

I love this piece! It’s beautiful! I saw a video in which you said someone attacked you personally. I want you to know that I admire you and your family for rescuing Juno. He’s a gorgeous puppy and so smart! When animals feel secure, they blossom and want to please their humans! It’s obvious that he is happy and loves you because he loves to do his “tricks” for you! You are a wonderful mom and human for Juno! I cannot imagine anyone not understanding the value of setting bedtime for animals. You’re a great person and fabulous artist!!!

We always crated our GSD at night. It was his safe spot. He would go in there if he got spooked(not often) but it was his “home”. Plus it’s not considered punishment to the dog, in case he had to be crated for whatever other reason

I'm sure I've seen.this before and drooled over those Pebeo Iridescents and got all sad we don't have them in Australia! Couple months ago, although I'd seen them advertised in our big craft chain store, they were never on stock and I just happened to find them there!!! A brand new display! After seeing how many cells you got, 8 won't be using Aussie Floetrol as my PM though! It already sometimes gives me more cells than I'd like!!! Love this one! Be good to see it again now you don't blow yr base over and see how much solid colour blows out!!! x x x

Hi Kanella🤗 watching your tips on mat cleaning. I have the same Loli mats, they are fabulous mats. I just wanted to say that I have been using tape to clean mine of little bits of paint. Packing tape works best cause it’s wider but painters tape works also, and I use it multiple times before getting another piece if needed. Just a comment,not a criticism,just throwing in my two cents. 😁💕

Liqutex makes an iridescent medium you can add to any colour. They sell it at Michaels :) I’ve used it and it’s great!! LOVE YOUR WORK! 🥰 cheers 🥂

I absolutely love this piece, your technique & the paints. I am in Florida. I know I watched this video kinda late, by over 2 years. But after watching it I did go to Amazon here and searched to see if they carry those paints. Boy they sure do and there is a whole lot more than 7! Thought I'd let you know in case you aren't aware. I am new to this art and you have certainly inspired me. Thank you so much for sharing with this newbie, I really am learning. Now if I could just learn enough to create something that I can at least think is okay & not a total disaster. LOL

Well, those colours didn't disappoint did they! Love it! For those in the UK, Hobbycraft sells the full range of Pebeo paints and have had them half price for the Easter and Summer school holidays (I bought mine at Easter and they were £2 each) so I hope they'll do that again for Christmas.

Ooh Kanella this turned out amazing!! You know what you should try... the same line you love doing but start with one colour and end with another. so the line itself looks like a rainbow. then blow that out. or even half and half. so the left side of the line could be your blues and greens and the other half your copper and pinks! bet you could make that amazing!!

Gorgeous! FYI, Deserres carries Pebeo paints, and their own brand of paint is xcellent and has a huge range of colours. There is a DeSerres in Oakville, I know there are a few more in Canada.

I am obsessed with all things iridescent! From my pillows to my nails to pictures and stuffed animals! Everyone knows me by my iridescent /opalized obsession. So I'm so in love with this painting! I can't wait to try the iridescent paints! I just recently bought some Pearl metallics that are gorgeous that I'm going to use today but I'm just starting out and am an amateur but these iridescent paints are gorgeous and you did a beautiful job

A good sticky tape like dollar store duct tape will clean everything off the silicone mats. That's how I clean mine all the time no matter what is on them, resin, paint or even (in my case) cat hairs. lol This piece ...wow...the cells! Nice! Can't wait to see it dry.
