Will be my 4th time going. I'll never forget the 1st time, I slept the entire flight and woke up right as we were decending..I freaked out thinking we were gonna crash..Everyone laughed and said, this is his first time isn't it!

Definitely the craziest airport landing with the beach and spectators below not far from you. @ 1:54 seeing all the people there is just as sight to see. Kudos to all pilots who land in this airport like its nothing
At 1:54, even at 100 ft those people look like ants. This is why you're rarely able to see people from in an aircraft even at the beginning of takeoff or last part of descent, because any higher than a few hundred feet off the ground, people are too small to see. It's easy to forget how quickly a plane is able to rise to a few hundred feet after lift-off or how only the last 20 to 30 seconds before touchdown the aircraft is a few hundred feet high or lower. And in those last 20-30 seconds, you're already over the airfield and seeing the starting of runway and taxiways and not over anyplace anymore where you'd see anyone. There have been a couple rare instances where I saw someone in satellite parking outside the fence of the airfield, and also the speed you're flying by overhead also makes it harder to spot someone, the aircraft is flying about 180mph when landing. This St. Maarten is one of the few exceptions where you can see people from an aircraft because of the public beach so unusually close to a commercial airport runway.
That's because it is nothing to these pilots. They don't care who or what is down there as long as it doesn't interfere with their landing which all they are focused on. Landing is a high stress moment for pilots so they aren't focused on the crowd and more so they are making their landing just as they were taught. Not looking down onto the beach but focused on their approach.
And here I was under the impression landing at SXM was difficult! The pilot made this look so very easy!

This is the first video I've seen landing there from the pilot's view. I've seen several of the videos seeing the planes from the beach point of view, and this time we could see from the plane the people on the beach having that point of view. Maybe one of them at that moment was recording one of videos that I've seen from the beach point of view

I think it is Corsair, because i can tell from my own experience that KLM 747's don't have the 400,300 and 200ft callouts :)

Runway numbering is based on compass bearing rounded to ten degrees (e.g. a Rwy 01/19 has headings closest to 10° and 190°), as the magnetic north pole moves it becomes necessary to renumber runways. FSX is now over ten years old and the magnetic pole has shifted enough in that time that renumbering is necessary.
