First listened to this performance when I was in high school and it is still one of the most influential and formative performances for me that I’ve ever seen. Thank you for sharing this, cheers man.
Still coming back to listen to this, the first song I heard was when he first released All of Everything Erased and did that street performance in 2009ish. His rendition of Elliots' Kings Crossing here is fantastic. I sorta miss sad, existentially troubled acoustic Kevin. I'm not trying to minimize his full band happy stuff like Bulldozer and its success but there was something really special about his solo stuff that had me absolutely fixated. I still appreciate you posting this nicefaceguy. Maybe I should give his 2022 album a listen. I think I'll do that now.
Man, it's hard to imagine that my love of Kevin Devine also lead me to finding Elliott Smith, who is now probably my favorite artist. And I may have never found him if you awesome people hadn't requested Kevin play one of his songs. Thanks for the amazing video guys.
I promise you I didn't delete it, maybe RUclips did? They like to delete stuff. I don't have any higher resolution video, just what I posted here. Thanks for your comments everyone, it was a wonderful experience !
Oh man I learned of this kickstarter after it ended, thank you for sharing your private show! It was awesome and hilarious as Kevin tends to be. If he does this again Im going for broke with the private show at my place and insisting he do all Metallica songs, maybe throw in some Eddie Vedder…Kevin does the best Eddie. Good music and comedy all at once! Once again, thanks for sharing ;)
Hey man, we met you at The Fillmore in SF last night! Wanted to give you a link to check out our band. It was cool hanging with you! everyatlas.bandcamp.com Fragile Bones is the newest one and gonna be on our new record, so I recommend starting with that! Enjoy the rest of those shows!
