Why is there controversy? Its just people upvoting, there's nothing special about which post gets has more upvotes
Maybe it's because it overtook some plays that were extremely popular/huge plays, and some ppl just don't see this one as something that should surpass that.

But I think the reason it got this many is that many people were probably just waiting for him to set a 1K, and for him to finally set it, (1.1k actually) not too surprised it did this well.... But it's getting nerfed very soon 😅

I think it getting so popular is less about the score itself and more about the circumstances. I mean, people have seen you struggle for so long, getting sniped all the time and stuff. Then you pull out a 1.1k skipping 1k, it's a big achievement for you and your community, no? Plus let's be honest, people just like beastttrollmc
The more you think about it, the less hype the score feels. But it was a long time coming anyway, and there were stakes behind it in the end
