How did you remove the CLS AMG grill? (silver portion) Did you just pull? Or do you have to pull / push in a certain direction? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Best thing to do is remove it & then apply epoxy glue on the locking tabs & then put it back in place. With that glued on, it makes it more difficult for them to turn it that unlocks the tabs.
@@willisix2554 my illuminated star was factory installed when I got my 2020 GLE. I’d removed it & electrical taped up the connector plug & applied a small amount of epoxy on the tabs. Just hopefully I don’t need to remove it for any reason, but this does make it difficult to remove it cleanly.
You didn't include the raised distronic emblem. 😕 I have a flat distronic emblem will the OEM raised emblem work with the flat one?? (I'm not talking about the non functional grille star I'm talking about the one shown at :24 seconds. I have this one on my eclass but I want the one that is slightly raised and black but still has distronic function)

Aaa, there are two different emblems for the c class the emblem from the video is a simple Chrom one pice emblem, other models have where the emblem is the braking assistance sensor I think, like the E class from my video. But it depends if you have that option.
Same here, I have a 2019 a-220 the emblem has a flat glossy plastic instead of the deep recess with mesh. The grille looks similar but has black little hexagons instead of the chrome looking ones. I'm trying hard to twist it, but there's not really anywhere to grip and I feel like something might break if I try to twist harder.
Does anyone know if they make all black distronic star emblems? I upgraded a grill from eBay and my 2022 distronic silver star now doesn’t look so great in the all black grill.
