- Once upon a time we started a new youtube channel called ButtBot. But then we thought about t-shirt designs and decided that might not be a great idea.
So we renamed the channel FUNHAUS, and invited Rooster Teeth to pay us to do stupid videos. They agreed!
Here's our first podcast.
And everyone lived happily ever after. The end.

Truly bizarre to come back to this 9 years later for the first time. It's all ending now. What a ride.

Wait one second. Out of everyone at Rooster Teeth, people don't like Burnie? Man, it's like I went through a worm hole into a different dimension.
Bernie is the one guy out of all the rest of those RT douches who I actually like.
Jason Fajardo Why are the douches? most of them are hard working and like having fun with the community, they do extra life streams and raise money for charity and that makes them a douche?
I dunno, to me Burnie seems like a pretty cool guy but also seems to be a bit of a buzzkill - he just wasn't very funny for me, rather killing the mood at times unfortunately.
flagmuffin1221 Burnie isn't normally like that. On RT podcasts he is often hilariously funny and won't buzzkill ever. I'm guessing he had reasons for being this subdued. Like i said, not normally like him to be like that.

So many IG fan boys rejecting RT. I personally love both so it's great seeing them together.
It seems the IG community is made up of a bunch of whiny children who bitch an complain at the first sight of change. I personally love both IG (or maybe I should call them FH now) and RT. If these kids can't accept this partnership then they should just leave because they're not wanted here.
im pretty sure all of us RT fans had the same reaction when we learnt of fullscreen taking over, its just a matter of adjustment for the fanbase, give it time

I'm new to Rooster Teeth, IG brought me here and I'm excited to sub to new shows and personalities. IG's fans can be ravenous douches though.
Almost 9 years ago to the day...I remember eagerly tuning in after watching the first couple teasers of the then new channel, and nearly 6 years of watching them every single day followed. As I'm approaching 30, I find myself reaching more and more for nostalgia and reminiscing of these days hits HARD. That being said, FH continues to be my favorite channel to this day, but man, having no responsibilities besides schoolwork and watching these fools every morning to start my day is something I miss greatly. Ahh, becoming an adult.

The RT fanbase was already aware of the friendships between them RT and IG, plus in the end this means more great content. I just hope they get their own tab on the RT website.
There was an RT fan meetup here in Ireland and I met a lot of people who were fans of IG as well (I watched content of both channels for a very long time back in the RvB days and the Inside Halo days). I guess that's why the reception was so good.

I loved the IG setup, I loved the steam roulettes, Q&As, Podcasts, drunk gameplays, etc.. All I ask is that you don't change TO much of that formula, you have all these fans that loved what you did and want more of it. So simply put, keep doing what IG was doing. Can not wait for more Funhaus content!

I feel like RT are so much more laid back than machinima, like there name in it self literally means cock bite. Rooster(cock) teeth(bite). So I honestly don't see them being to harsh, obviously everything you see in AH you could expect the same from these guys.

I'm so disappointed in all of the IG "fans" bitching about rooster teeth bringing them on. Do you realize that this streamlined the process of them making videos and content ten fold...? You must also realize that this was a choice by the crew. They didn't get kidnapped and forced into doing this. It was a conscious decision to get us all content. Be thankful and supportive. Instead of bashing RT why not thank them for putting faith in, I don't know about all of you but, my favorite channel on the tubes?

Additionally, I would like to thank Rooster Teeth for bringing my favorite youtubers into your channel. It's a gamble you won't regret. Overtime fans will realize you're not evil and trying to ruin our content, but trying to improve it.

All I ask is don't join Achievement Hunter when they play Minecraft it's a dying cause.
The problem Achievement Hunter have is a lot of their fans want to play with them in GTA but they don't. Their GTA let's plays are dying and some times the creativity levels are dropping. FunHaus when you played GTA it was always different always. You incorporated your fans and you listen to us. GTA is fun with Adam James Bruce and Lawrence.
All I ask is please, with the collabartions just don't do too much.
I don't see them doing to many as FH is in LA, and AH is in Austin. But I see you're point.
i will agree with you that Minecraft/GTA LP's are a dying cause in someways. They don't always have the best quality or creativity because they are trying to come up with mostly original ideas each week for them. But I will disagree and say that AH's more devoted fans don't like them as much as the Lp's they release tues-thurs. But Ah's MC/GTA vids are usually have the highest view counts each week. I'm going to say that's because there's a younger fan group who aren't as devoted fans that in tune mostly, if not only for those LP's. I think a big problem with trying to incorporate Ah's audience are the trolls(much larger audience=more trolls). and the fact that they May record something and not release it for month or so. I would see people recording their gameplay or just spectating if it's GTA and releasing that and spoiling the content. (they usually keep a decent sized catalog of already recorded content ready.) I've heard them talk about playing with "fans"(trolls) and those "fans" spend their time in the game trying to be in the limelight, or try to screw up the LP. Also there was an issue eveytime they would start a game, people would find out what they are playing and go to reddit/twitter and tell people what they are playing, i don't really understand the purpose in that, but i'm sure it's just annoying.
How would they be doing collabs? They work miles away from each other! They would have to fly to each other regularly or take long road trips to start doing those regularly!
Cole Blair I understand what your saying. However i actually found IG because Achievement Hunter is dying and i needed a better outlet. Once i found Inside Gaming i found the funniest gaming channel ever. The work that they put to be funny is to much. I've watch Achievement hunter for 5 years and i have seen the big changes and i personally dont like it (for me it started going down hill from when they moved office). With the Trolls don't feed them just leave them to starve.
FunHaus just be yourself and remember where you came from like the Rock. Just be Inside Gaming but with more stuff being put out. Just be careful with what you do
I like the setup. Once Burnie leaves the LA office, Bruce can sit in his spot, so he won't be standing. Very excited about the new content.
I don't know if I like this setup better or the previous setup where they all sat in front of a webcam while playing videogames.

I wonder how long it will take the RT "fanboys" to accept Funhaus, and for all the Funhaus "fanboys" to accept RT. I've been watching them both for ages and there is nothing wrong with either group. I hope everyone's mourning period on this doesn't last too long because in all honesty this is a great partnership and i really cant wait to see this channel get big like IG was. These guys deserve a good home and RT deserves another good group of guys like AH.

Both Rooster Teeth and IG fans seem to hate it when new, "foreigners" enter the videos..... I think the fans are going to get along splendidly.

Eh it will eventually die down. When meg first joined everyone wanted her dead it seems. Now its just a stupidly loud minority. Same with when Matt and Jeremy and Lindsy all started joining the Lets plays. People will realize they cant do anything about it and just go away. Personally i say just watch RT stuff on their website. people for the most part criticize constructively. There are criticisms of course but more the mic is too low and i cant hear them vs he cheated in a game i hope he dies. I like you am also a fan of both groups so i am optimistic about the future.

I honestly feel it's just their personalities that make everything work so well. After following them for a while, I generally liked every new thing/change that ever happened. I'm pretty confident their new stuff will be just as good, maybe even better
I would like to see a tongue in cheek daily news show with humping, oh my gods and YES exclamations, also drunk games, terrible and random game streams plus the podcast. Spoole dated the comic con girl khail helped set him up with for 6 months? That's nice.
Just went to check out The Know... I really hope you go your own way on the news side. I don't want to bad mouth them. Subjectively, for me, at my age and sense of humour, that style really doesn't appeal. I liked her t-shirt though.
kif1983 The Know is not especially representative of any Rooster Teeth content. I'd watch one of the Rooster Teeth Podcasts. Not the most recent one though, they did that one as tribute to a coworker who just died, so its kinda somber.

SO THIS IS HOW IT ALL STARTED.
I'd like to see a continuation of the content from the IG channel…in particular, Adam playing bad games with James and Bruce commenting in the background, Steam Roulette, and occasionally online group games like GTA and such with the same setup. Bruce, Adam and James have a great comedic rapport. New channel and new home doesn't necessarily mean all of the content has to be new and/or different when the large fan base that followed you here became fans on what you did over there :) New stuff will be great too, as well as RT collabs, but I hope it adds to what works, rather than replacing it.
I don't know if they can continue Steam Roulette. I believe Machinima owned the account they used on it (the account had access to all steam games).
I believe that is what they are planning but probably adding some new ideas and shows that they've been thinking of

You can say inside gaming was solo but machinima limited a lot for them.
What kind of content did you watch? did you ever checked out Achievement Hunter? If not you should try their GTA Heist Let's Plays.
I don't think this is going to be a problem. One group is based in Austin and the other is based in LA. I'm sure there will be considerable collaboration behind the scenes and occasional collaboration in the foreground, but for the most part I think funhaus will do their own things that are, from a viewer standpoint, is not affected by Rooster Teeth.

I don't see how Bruce standing means he's not an important member of the crew. People read too much into a situation and then get offended on their own. Calm down. No one's bullying Bruce, man. Maybe the new office just didn't have enough chairs, and Bruce chooses to stand because he's a nice guy, and it's not a big deal to anyone because they're not petty little children who would get butthurt over something so trivial.
Bruce probably OFFERED to stand because he's a nice person. I doubt they played musical chairs and he's the one that got left out.

To be fair, they did mention they are still setting up. With help from RT, the quality will go up.
I would like to think they are still setting somethings up such as decoration and sound proof things on the wall
This is going to be some interesting couple of weeks just watching both RT fans and IG fans clash in the comment section. But remember Burnie values individualism, so for the IG fans. Not much of their character is going to change but do remember that their now a part of RT and basically Burnie is their boss.
More Matt really but I think their going to be more or less separate entities similar to how RT and Full-screen are one company but are relatively their own entities. If you really need it to be spelled out for you, it means RT acquires people not to just simply add more to their company but that they believe with what those people do and it goes with their company's image as well.

1. Is Burnie going to be an active member of FunHaus or is he just visiting Cali to help with the launch?
2. Are you guys following the same format as you had in IG, or will you be adapting to AH loyalty to Xbox/Microsoft?
3. Is Joel still going to be a behind the scenes guy, or is he going to be more active as a "character"?
4. Are you still going to do weekly/biweekly Podcasts?
5. Are you going to focus more on news or gameplay videos or a healthy mixture?

From what I've heard they will be somewhat sticking to their IG format and with have a mixture of both news and gameplay, although most of the news will probably be featured on The Know channel. Burnie is not going to be an active member of Funhaus, he's only there to help set everything up. I'm pretty sure they will have a weekly podcast but correct me if I'm wrong. The Funhaus guys will also be featured on RT stuff and vice versa

I hope Bruce giving his place on the table to the RT guy means nothing and I'm frustrated for no reason. But imagine if it is a metaphor for how funhaus works? No boss at Machinima ever took the place of someone at IG'S table.
It's probably just because Burnie is their guest and I think his presence at the table was important considering what the podcast was about. I would assume anything from it.
If you're a long time fan of these guys, I wouldn't worry about RoosterTeeth working with them. Or owning them. Whatever the situation is. I highly doubt RT will impede what they do. In fact, they're highly supportive of creativity and new things that their employees come up with and want to do. If anything, it'll give them more opportunity and resources to do more stuff.

The merging of Inside Gaming and Rooster Teeth is freakin' perfect, but all I see in the comments is people shitting on RT and/or it's community. You do realize there are strong parallels between some of the Inside Gaming vids and Achievement Hunter and The Know, right? I'm not saying they are the same thing, but they'll meld well and we should all be happy about this. Rooster Teeth is not going to be some big evil big brother taking over the IG guys and their content. They know and love IG, and they want to give them the resources to allow them to do even more. I don't get the impression that Burnie or anybody at RT wants to take over IG and regulate what they do. Just listen to what they're saying on this podcast. RT is going to give them the resources to do all the stuff that IG wants to do and loves to do, and we'll also get some sweet collaborative work in the process. I think the chemistry between the IG guys and the AH guys is going to be perfect! Plus, it is not like all we're going to get is collaboration. IG is still going to post it's own daily content under Funhaus -- they've stated that multiple times. Everybody just needs to chill and see what happens. This is going to work out beautifully. Trust the judgment of IG and RT on this.
Yeah it's funny. From the RT side there seems to be an overwhelming amount of support, especially on the website. I can understand the hesitancy of the IG crowd though. When RT was bought by Fullscreen the entire community went into emergency landing position and was ready for the crash of funny.....which never came haha. Just give them a few months. They will realize this was be the best thing the IG guys could have done. Change is scary for certain people.

this podcast was pretty much recorded the day after his friend died so basically throughout all of this you can see the sadness appear when he isn't talking, very sad but he did well enough for the podcast.

This is an awesome opportunity for the crew to develop on what they had back at IG, it's a fresh start, new content, new ideas and also a good chance to see how their fanbase develops too. Change is hard for some fans but it's a good thing. I'll admit I never actually heard much of RT until now and I'm looking through their content. It's a nice settlement for them. I hope everyone else from the IG fanbase can see what this can develop into.

I would suggest watching their rt life videos as well as the podcast. Rt life gives a great inside look into Rooster Teeth and the podcast is always entertaining. Also check out achievement hunter and the Let's Play channel, you should be able to find something you like.
RVB is on netflix. Achievement hunter videos are glreat. If you want to learn a lot about them, i suggest the rt podcast. If you want gameing news like ig then try out the patch. Rt life shows the people at the company. You could go to the rt website and look up the vidoes or read about the workers. Hipe this helped!
Honestly i would watch the gauntlet season 2 (definitely dont watch season 1, we dont talk about that). Gauntlet season 2 is one of their most prized shows and it really shows the humor of rt!

Well, Rooster Teeth isn't really just one thing. They do news, they do Let's Plays, and they also do original content. They've two fairly popular series going on now. Red vs. Blue is a series that uses Halo as a medium, kind of like Machinima with a deeper storyline. However, it also has full CGI segments as well. It's been going on for several years now. It's got comedy, action, and drama. If something a bit more fantasy-esque is your preference, check out RWBY. It follows the story of 4 "Huntresses" in training as they attend Beacon, an academy that trains people to fight monsters. This one is completely animated. It has a more anime feel to it, but it's definitely worth a look. At the very least, check out the first episode here on RUclips. If you want something to provide a bit of comic relief, check out Rage Quit. It's essentially a guy from Jersey raging out games that are usually infuriatingly hard. Whatever it is that you end up choosing, at least give one of them a chance.

This fan base is very weird, you guys say you like their IG videos, but in the same sentence insult them, something like "you fucks better keep it like IG was" how do you like their content but not them?
Its not that we hate the IG cast, its that RT has a much more PG level of comedy and we don't want to see them do videos directed toward 10 year olds.
i love the ig guys - i just don't want their type of content bastardized too quickly - the content was already great in tone and doesn't need to be the same as the rest of rooster teeth for itself and rooster teeth as a whole to benefit from them

Well @LucasAH Ive been a fan since 05 and I can guarantee you that they HAVE toned it down and have been censoring themselves slowly, cuss words aren't what they're trying to censor, what they are trying to censor is super "offensive" material in which they used to say all the time that now well they no longer can, if you truly want to see a tiny taste at how things used to be in RT before it got PG-13th then go watch On the spot episode 10 now THAT! is classic RT in their prime like it used to be, and if you watch it and then look at the comments no matter if on YT or the site it's all the same, butthurt over sensative retards who can't handle it.
This is super interesting to watch, from seeing where they are now. Watching Burnie sit so casually and relaxed, and everyone else seems a bit stiffer, like just after a job interview (and I suppose in the greater scheme that's almost like what this is). Seeing how true they are still to their channel and are still the funny idiots they've always been, just in 1080p, with clearer picture, better audio, and a teaspoon more of offence.
